  • Reševalno delo v težkih pogojih = Rescue work in difficult conditions

    In difficult conditions, it is often necessary for Emergency medical service to cooperate with other rescue services. Typical example of such work is in the mountains, where it is performed by ... Mountain Rescue Service. Rescue team has to act optimally, but many circumstances threaten the victim and make rescue work more difficult. Rescuers are exposed to stress conditions which can cause posttraumatic stress disorders. Preventive measures and psychological help are useful. Rescue work in difficult conditions can be improved by the use of helicopter, which has many advantages. By now the only primary helicopter rescue in Slovenia is performed by Mountain Rescue Service.It is necessary to expand emergency helicopter rescue to other areas of Slovenia, too. Optimal organization and communication is necessary for effective cooperation of various emergency rescue services.
