  • Kožne spremembe pri nalezljivih boleznih = Cutaneous manifestations of infectious diseases
    Lužnik-Bufon, Tatjana
The acutely-ill febrile patient with a generalised skin rash presents a diagnostic challenge to the clinician. The differential diagnosis includes both infectious and noninfectious causes. Clinical ... features of the various disorders causing a skin rash are similar, and one infection may readily mimicanother. The new etiologic agents have been discovered and aspects of theclassic exanthems have changed considerably. Smallpox has been eliminated from the world and the widespread use of measles and rubella vaccines has changed the epidemiological aspects of these two diseases. In many areas the incidence and severity of scariet fever have decreased and the epidemiology ofvaricella has changed while a greater percentage of cases are now occurring in adults.
