  • Besedje v rokopisnih pridigah Jožefa Muršca [Elektronski vir]

    The article deals with the linguistic characteristics of manuscript sermons of Jožef Muršec. Phonological and morphological characteristics of written vocabulary reflect both Eastern Slovenian and ... literary central Slovenian language elements. Comparison with other well-known Eastern Styrian writers of sermons showed vague continuity in the use of these elements. The analysis confirmed the still high presence of Germanisms, although purism was also present in the Styrian area, especially with the founder of the Eastern Syrian literary language - Peter Danjko. Also, Muršec's lexicon reflects the pecularities of his hometown, Panonian environment. In the most important Slovenian dictionary of the 19th century, Pleteršnik's Slovenian German dictionary, are presented many of these words, but they already have provincial tags and many of them have attributed more suitable all Slovenian words. Slovenian dialect dictionaries that bring Prlekia dialect words take over at least a quarter of total words. Some Muršec's word forms already show deviation from the dialect expression.
