U ovom istraživanju analizirana je intenzivna proizvodnja krumpira koji se prerađuje u čips. U analiziranom razdoblju (2019. – 2022.) prikazane su sve agrotehničke mjere pri proizvodnji krumpira na ...primjeru PO „Beta“. Vidljivo je da je gnojidba svake godine provedena pri jesenskoj obradi, zatim pred samu sadnju, pri nagrtanju i prije zatvaranja redova. Zaštita krumpira je provedena pravovremeno, a kod primjene zaštitnih sredstava najviše se koriste fungicidi u zaštiti od plamenjače i koncentrične pjegavosti krumpira. Kod zaštite od krumpirove zlatice vodi se računa o korištenju pripravaka iz različitih kemijskih skupina i različitih mehanizma djelovanja. Obavezna mjera u proizvodnji je navodnjavanje koje se provodi tijekom ljetnih mjeseci (lipanj i srpanj). Vađenje krumpira obavilo se strojno, a ostvareni prinosi iznosili su prosječno 36 t/ha, što je daleko od hrvatskog prosjeka (19,1 t/ha).
In addition to the production of albumin cheese, biogas and whey powder, whey has also been used as a raw material for the production of alcoholic beverages. The aim of this research was to ...investigate the potential of using Istrian albumin cheese whey in the production of whey distillate. Three batches of Istrian albumin cheese were produced in a small-scale cheese plant. The remaining whey after the production of albumin cheese was fermented using Kluyveromyces marxianus subsp. marxianus for 5 days and then distilled. In the whey samples before and after fermentation, the content of total solids, protein, milk fat and lactose was determined. The ethanol content and the composition of volatile compounds in the distillate was determined. The content of all components of the chemical composition of whey, except for the content of fat, decreased during fermentation. In the whey distillate with an alcohol content of 35%, the following compounds were determined: acetaldehyde, methanol, n-propanol, i-butanol, n-butanol, 3-methyl-1-ol, 2-methylbutan-1-ol and ethyl-lactate. The distillate obtained confirmed the potential of using whey for the production of spirits. However, further research is needed due to the potential presence of the harmful effects of certain volatile compounds on human health.

Chimeral breeding is an alternative breeding method for vegetatively propagated species which can combine desirable traits from different cultivars. Main problem of its application is related to the difficulties in development of synthetic chimeras in most species. Grapevine is one of the most important crops in the world with significantly reduced varietal diversity used in production accompanied by difficult acceptance of new cultivars developed by existing breeding methods. Main objective of this study was to investigate the possibility of grapevine intraspecific chimeras development using in vitro method based on meristematic bulk tissue grafting. Meristematic bulk tissue was successfully developed from two cultivars (Cabernet sauvignon and Babic). After successful grafting and regeneration, 118 plants were obtained. Detection of chimeral plants was performed using combination of phenotyping and genotyping. Phenotyping was based on visual detection of cultivar specific characteristics displayed by young plants. Six microsatellites markers loci were evaluated for their efficiency in detection and quantification of different share of DNA belonging to two cultivars in mixed DNA samples. VVS2 locus was selected and used in genetic characterization of plants obtained from tissue culture. Chimeral status was confirmed in case of seven plants and different share of two cultivars within was detected chimeras. Described method shows promising results due to high regeneration power of meristematic bulk tissue and successful and precise detection of chimeral plants.
Unazad nekoliko godina na području grada Kastva nekolicina proizvođača grožđa i vina u suradnji sa znanstvenim institucijama i uz potporu lokalnih jedinica uprave i samouprave nastoji obnoviti ...vinogradarsku proizvodnju temeljenu na autohtonom sortimentu. Prvi korak već je napravljen identifikacijom nekoliko autohtonih sortata. Sorte Jarbola, Verdić, Mejsko belo, Divjaka i Brajkovac su nakon identifikacije razmnožene i posađene u zasad manjim nasadima lokalnih vinogradara. Cilj ovog rada bio je utvrditi osnovne gospodarske i ampelografske karakteristike navedenih sorata u proizvodnom nasadu lokalnih proizvođača. Analizom podataka utvrđen je broj grozdova po trsu, prinos po trsu, mehanički sastav grozda i kemijski sastav mošta. Na taj način utvrđene su osnovne razlike između sorata kao i gospodarski potencijal svake sorte. Sorta Verdić ima dimenzijama i masom najveći grozd, dok sorta Brajkovac dimenzijama i masom ima najmanji grozd. Sorta Jarbola ima najveću masu bobice i najveći udio mesa u masi grozda te izrazito veliki broj grozdova po trsu. Sorta Divjaka se odlikuje visokom rodnošću te najmanjom masom bobica. Sorte Mejsko belo i Brajkovac pokazale su se, zbog visokog sadržaja šećera, kao sorte s najboljim kvalitativnim potencijalom u promatranoj godini istraživanja.
