Cultural heritage governance and management has been shifting from the sole authority of the state and public bodies towards approaches that list multi-actor partnerships in several combinations ...involving public actors, civil society, private actors and community. This paper examines the public–civil, public–private and public–private–community partnerships through expounding rationales, conceptual backgrounds and theoretical framings for each partnership, followed by a systemic review and analysis of the academic literature sourced through the PRISMA protocol. The analysis objective was to assess the main advantages and disadvantages of each of the partnerships in governing and managing cultural heritage, noting the levels of representation of each governance and management approach. The results have shown that the public–civil and public–private–community partnerships have similar advantages and disadvantages, with the public–civil partnership being the least represented approach in the literature, while the public–private partnership has the highest level of representation with advantages and disadvantages that are inclined towards more pragmatic aims than those of the other two examined approaches. The so-called ‘new governance models’ of heritage were also detected in the analysis; however, they represent only a variant of the already analysed models.
In the last ten years, cultural and creative industries have become a popular direction for local development. Many cities use them as tools for economic development as well as for achieving greater ...visibility in a wider environment, especially paired with tourism. Although the development of cities based on cultural and creative industries is typical for the Anglo-Saxon world, the model has become generally accepted throughout the world. Even the new European Union financial instrument is based on the promotion of cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue, as well as on strengthening the competitiveness in cultural and creative sectors with the aim of promoting smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Studies completed by the Institute for Development and International Relations for the City of Zagreb analyze the state of Zagreb’s cultural and creative industries, putting them in relation with cities’ development models. This article analyzes the potentials and opportunities for positioning Zagreb within the European context and offers reflections for further development.

AIM:To assess the clinical role of monoclonal immunoscintigraphy for the detection of metastasis and recurrence of colorectal cancer.METHODS:Monoclonal immunoscintigraphy was performed in patients ...operated on for colorectal adenocar-cinoma suspected of local recurrence and metastatic disease. The results were compared with conventional diagnostics.RESULTS:Immunoscintigraphic investigation was done in 53 patients.Tumor recurrence occurred in 38 patients, and was confirmed by other diagnostic modalities in 35.In 15 patients, immunoscintigraphic findings were negative, and confirmed in 14 with other diagnostic methods.Comparative analysis confirmed good correlation of immunoscintigraphic findings and the results of conventional diagnostics and the level of tumor marker carcinoembryonic antigen.Statistical analysis of parameters of radiopharmaceutical groups imacis, indimacis and oncoscint presented homogenous characteristics all of three radiopharmaceuticals. The analysis of immunoscintigraphic target focus was clearly improved using tomography.CONCLUSION:Immunoscintigraphy is highly specific and has a good predictive value in local recurrence of colorectal cancer.
Epilepsy causes a significant burden to patients as it is linked with various somatic and psychiatric comorbidities, social issues, impaired quality of life, and increased mortality. Improving the ...population’s knowledge and attitudes about epilepsy patients could be beneficial as it could raise social awareness and lead to more social support for patients. For those reasons, a survey-based cross-sectional study was conducted to determine Croatian students’ knowledge and attitudes toward epilepsy. A previously developed survey questionnaire was adapted for the Croatian setting and distributed online to the students (n = 544). Croatian students generally had positive attitudes towards people with epilepsy (median score 28.0, interquartile range 29.0–26.0, with the minimum possible score being 0.0 and the maximum 30.0), with the female gender (B (male) = 0.664 (95% CI −1.158, −0.170), p = 0.009), biomedical education (B (other) = −0.442, (95% CI −0.823, −0.061), p = 0.023), and personal experience in the form of witnessing the seizure (B = 0.519 (95% CI 0,098, 0.940), p = 0.016) as predictors of more favorable attitudes. Overall knowledge was satisfactory concerning most items, with the exception of first aid measures and risk factors. Educational intervention targeting bio-medical students and other students who might, in their future professional lives, be responsible for people suffering from epilepsy is needed to improve the gaps in their knowledge.
As two integral components of communication and language planning within a language standardization process, terminology planning and terminology standardization are the activities applied to ...consciously and systematically develop a particular language for special purposes in accordance with the communicational needs of the subject field. Taking into account the linguistic tradition and musicology heritage as well as contemporary usage, user needs and functional criteria of the special field is the basis for the standardization of basic musical terminology within the research project Conmusterm. The paper discusses key terminological issues in the Croatian music terminology on the examples from expert pedagogical literature and the curricula for primary and secondary music education. Special attention is paid to the specific features of the music terminology, such as diachronic polysemy and the resistance of a part of the terminology to assimilation, where it is necessary to abandon the generally accepted terminological principles.
