The petrological and geochemical features of the bed parallel granitic intrusion in the Pre-Cambrian Baoban group in Hainan Island attest to the anatexis origin of the granites. U-Pb dating analyses ...of zircons from the anatectic granite and the biotite two-feldspar gneiss in the Baoban group, using SHRIMP II in the Beijing Ion-probe Center, acquire 206Pb/238U ages of 368+/-3.5 Ma (of granite, 95% confidence level, MSDW=1.23) and 362.9+/-6.1 Ma (of gneiss, 95% confidence level, MSDW = 2.04) respectively. The two late Devonian ages indicate consistently a tectonic- thermal event experienced in Hainan Island, and are the first discovered record of the Devonian geological process in the district. This event possibly resulted from the deep ther-mal-dynamic process when the Gondwana continent began to break up in the Devonian period.

The presence of ions in wastewater can have significant impact on photocatalytic performance. In this paper, the ZrCl4 and 2-amino-4,4′-biphenyldicarboxylic acid reacted in N,N-dimethylformamide solvent to produce light yellow UIO-67-NH2. The structure and physical and chemical properties of UIO-67-NH2 were characterized by elemental analysis, Fourier transform infrared (IR), thermogravimetric (TGA), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), N2 adsorption/desorption isotherm and ultraviolet–visible light diffuse reflectance spectrum (UV–Vis DRS). The results showed that UIO-67-NH2 had good thermal stability and visible light absorption properties. Its specific surface area and particle diameter were approximately 1282 m2·g−1 and 200 nm, respectively. The maximum rate of photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange (MO) by UIO-67-NH2 under visible light irradiation was 4.000 mg·L−1·min−1, which was 4.548 times that of P25. The results of the ion coexistence experiment showed that the Fe3+ and the NO3− enhanced the catalytic performance in the form of synergistic photocatalytic production of ·OH; the Na+, Zn2+, Cu2+, Cl−, CO32− and PO43− inhibited the photocatalytic performance. The higher the ion concentration, the more obvious their inhibition would been. The density functional theory (DFT) calculations and electrospray mass spectrometry (ESI-Ms) analysis indicated that highly electronegative groups of MO molecules were preferentially broken under the oxidation of hydroxyl radicals.
The aero-engine serves as the “heart” of an aircraft and is a primary factor determining the aircraft’s performance. Among the crucial components in the core of aero-engines, aero-engine compressor ...blades stand out as extremely important. They are not only numerous but also characterized by a multitude of parameters, making them the most complex parts in an aero-engine. This paper aims to address the trade-off between accuracy and efficiency in the existing measurement methods for asymmetric blades. Non-contact measurements were conducted using a structured light system composed of a stereo camera and a DLC projector. The point cloud data of the blades are processed using methods such as the PCA (Principal Component Analysis) algorithm, binary search, and least squares fitting. This paper established a fringe-projection profilometry light sensor system for the multi-view measurement of the blades. High-precision rotary tables are utilized to rotate and extract complete spatial point cloud data of aviation blades. Finally, measurements and comparative experiments on the blade body are conducted. The obtained blade point cloud data undergo sorting and denoising processes, resulting in improved measurement accuracy. The measurement error of the blade chord length is 0.001%, the measurement error of blade maximum thickness is 0.895%, compared to CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), where the measurement error of chord is 0.06%.
Vascular dysfunction and hyperlipidemia are essential risk factors contributing to essential hypertension (EH). The plasmacytoma variant translocation 1 (PVT1) is involved in modulating angiogenesis ...in tumor tissues and plays an important role in fat differentiation in the progress of obesity. Therefore, we selected two tagSNPs of PVT1 (rs10956390 and rs80177647) to investigate whether they are contributing to the risk of hypertension in Chinese patients. In total, 524 adult patients with EH and 439 matched healthy controls were enrolled for two central of China. Results. PVT1 rs10956390 and rs80177647 polymorphisms were genotyped by using TaqMan assay. PVT1 rs10956390 TT genotype was associated with a decreased risk of EH (OR=0.561, 95% CI=0.372-0.846, P=0.006), while rs80177647 TA genotype was associated with an increased risk (OR=2.236, 95% CI=1.515-3.301, P<0.001). Rs10956390 T allele was associated with lower triglyceride levels in the plasma both from healthy and EH donors. What is more, there is an association between rs10956390 polymorphism and HDL-C level, as well as LDL-C. Conclusion. PVT1 rs10956390 and rs80177647 polymorphisms may contribute to the risk of EH in Chinese population by regulating blood lipid levels.
Prostate cancer (PC), a common malignant tumor, is the second-leading cause of cancer death among American men. Its successful treatment greatly relies on the early diagnose. Engrailed-2 (EN2) has ...been confirmed being existed with a high level in the urine of PC patients. In this study, to explore the application of EN2 in PC, we detected the immunohistochemical staining difference and EN2 expression level between benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and PC.
We developed a monoclonal antibody against the helix 3 in EN2 and confirmed its specificity with Western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence detecting the subcellular localization of endogenous and exogenous EN2 in three PC cell lines (LNCap, PC3, and DU145). We conducted immunohistochemical staining using this homemade antibody, and RT-PCR to detect the expression of EN2 in 25 PC and 25 BPH cases, and analyzed the correlation of EN2 expression and PC clinical staging.
The results of WB and immunofluorescence showed our homemade EN2 monoclonal antibody could specifically bind endogenous and exogenous EN2 protein in three different PC cell lines. Endogenous EN2 was generally expressed in the cytoplasm and exogenous EN2 mostly existed in the nucleus of these cell lines. Immunohistochemical staining in PC had extremely stronger signals than that in BPH, suggesting a higher EN2 expression level in PC, which was confirmed by RT-PCR. Interestingly, the stained areas in BPH tissues were mainly in nucleus and cytoplasm, while in PC tissues were mainly on cytomembrane. Moreover, the expression level of EN2 was positively correlated with the PC clinical staging.
Using our homemade EN2 antibody, we have found different staining patterns and expression level of EN2 in BPH and PC,which may be helpful to predict prostatic disease progression.
