In this paper, Chu-Beasley’s specialized genetic algorithm will be used to solve the reconfiguration of distribuition system problem, which was modeled such as mixed integer nonlinear programming problem. In this work was defined a reduced search space to reduce the computational time of genetic algorithm of Chu-Beasley’ specialized to solve the reconfiguration of distribution systems problem. To evaluate the feasibility regarding constraints of the electrical power systems' operation, an algorithm for radial load flow was implemented to calculate these nodal tensions of these systems and, losses and currents of the system. Tests are presented using the systems of 14, 33, 84, 119 and 417 buses to avaluate the efficiency and robustness of the proposed method. The results were presented and compared to those found in the literature
A national plan is proposed for the equitable allocation of extrarenal organs, with particular reference to the liver. The principles of the plan include preferential use of the organs in the local ...and regional area of procurement, with national listing of the organs left over after the original cut. At each of the local, regional, and national levels, the allocation is based on total points awarded for medical urgency, time waiting, blood group conformity, and physical location of both donor and recipient. The plan, which should be applicable as well for allocation of hearts, is compatible with international sharing with nearby countries such as Canada.
The potential for imaging the angiotensin II receptor was evaluated using the radioiodinated peptide antagonist 125ISar1, Ile8)angiotensin II. The radioligand provides a receptor-mediated signal in ...several tissues in rat (kidneys, adrenal and liver). The receptor-mediated signal of 3% ID/g kidney cortex should be sufficient to permit imaging, at least via SPECT. The radiotracer is sensitive to reductions in receptor concentration and can be used to define in vivo dose-occupancy curves of angiotensin II receptor ligands. Receptor-mediated images of 123ISar1, Ile8angiotensin II were obtained in the rat kidney and Rhesus monkey liver.
We describe a male patient who developed systemic sclerosis following orchiectomy, radiotherapy and anti-androgenic treatment for prostatic adenocarcinoma. This case appears interesting as it further ...supports the possibility of a relationship between neoplasia and systemic sclerosis. The concurrence of scleroderma and iatrogenic hypoandrogenism suggests that hormonal influences may also play a role in the pathogenesis of this connective tissue disorder.
The specific role of patient coordinator varies among different transplantation centers. Their role is often dependent upon the total number of patients that are being followed at a given center. ...With continued success of a program and continued patient survival, the functions of the patient coordinator will increase. However, the coordinator's primary mission will remain principally that of patient educator and liaison with the transplant center.
