Scopus is a commercial database owned by Elsevier established in 2004. Scopus is the largest bibliographic and citation database in the world and includes tools for searching, analysing and ...visualizing data. End of 2007 saw the emergence of the Scimago Journal & Country Rank (SJR 2016) portal, which uses Scopus data to rank journals per various statistical indicators of published papers and their citation. The most important indicator is SJR (Scimago Journal Rank). It is calculated similarly to impact factor, i.e. based on the number ofcitations. While all citations have the same weight in the impact factor, SJR also takes the journals’ indicator into calculation.
Thomson Reuters uz već poznate citatne indekse Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) i Arts &Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI) izrađuje od 2015. i novi indeks ...Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) – sve uključene u Web of Science. U ESCI su uvršteni časopisi od regionalne važnosti i časopisi iz znanstvenih područja u nastajanju. Časopisi uvršteni u ESCI bit će nakon određenog vremena, ako zadovolje kriterije Thomson Reutersa, uvršten u SCIE, SSCI ili A&HCI. Za časopise uvrštene u ESCI, trenutno ih je 2589, ne izračunava se faktor odjeka.
Časopis Journal of Geography izlazi od 1902. godine. U prvih pet godina izlazilo je deset sveščića godišnje. Volumeni 6. – 16. obuhvaćaju po dvije godine (1907. – 1908. do 1917. – 1918.). Od tada ...izlazi u devet ili sedam sveščića godišnje, a od 1982. po šest, ali su volumeni 106. i 107. sadržavali po dvije godine. Izdavač časopisa je Taylor & Francis, a na mrežnim stranicama časopisa (http://www.tandfonline.com/loi/rjog20#.VyoTpoSLTIU) dostupni su svi brojevi od početka izlaženja. Članovima hrvatske akademske i istraživačke zajednice cjeloviti tekstovi svih članaka dostupni su od 1997. Journal of Geography uključen je u Current Contents i u Web ofScience (Social Science Citation Index). Faktor odjeka (IF) za 2014. iznosi 1,048, a petogodišnji faktor odjeka 1,218.
There is no standard or generally accepted terminology of aspect in the theory of map projections. The term is probably derived from the concept that a graticule is produced by perspective projection ...of the meridians and parallels on a sphere onto a developable surface. Developable surfaces are widely accepted, and it is almost impossible to find a publication that deals with map projections in general and without developable surfaces story. If found, it usually classifies projections as cylindrical, conical and azimuthal, and applies developable surfaces to define the projection aspect. This paper explains why applying developable surfaces in the interpretation of map projections is not recommended, nor defining the aspect of all projections by the position of a midpoint as polar, equatorial, or oblique. In fact, defining a projection aspect this way is invalid in general, and obscures the fact that the aspect depends on the class to which a particular map projection belongs.

Although map projections are only his hobby, Tobias Jung has set up an excellent internet website for comparing map projections of maps of the world (Compare Map Projections - ...https://map-projections.net/). It appeared in June 2011 and has been improved continually since then, with the addition of new contents and new projections, so that today, it covers 236 (September 2018).
The aspect of a projection is the position of the axis of the projection in relation to the axis of rotation of the Earth’s sphere. The aspect may be normal, transverse, or oblique.

više od 40 godina. U tom razdoblju mnogo toga novoga dogodilo se u svijetu, što
su autori pokušali obuhvatiti novim rječnikom. U ovom radu opisat ćemo probleme
s kojima smo se susreli u radu na pripremi toga rječnika.
