With the purpose of improving healthcare, past research has examined the link between healthcare utilization and attachment. It is suggested that an individual's attachment style influences both the ...quality of their patient-physician relationship and healthcare utilization patterns. Nevertheless, most studies concentrate on the individual aspect, overlooking the dyadic dimension; specifically, the investigation of how insecure attachment relates to health behavior within patient-physician relationships. This gap leaves the role of the patient-doctor relationship in this process unclear. Therefore, to elucidate this complex interplay, we hypothesized that the correlation between attachment and healthcare utilization is mediated by the quality of the patient-physician-relationship.
Participant selection was based on electoral districts, a random-route procedure, and the Kish selection grid. The participants were visited by a trained interviewer who collected psychometric and sociodemographic information. Participants answered the Experiences in Close Relationships-Revised questionnaire (ECR-RD8) and the Patient-Doctor Relationship Questionnaire (PDRQ-9). Additionally, participants were asked about their healthcare utilization. The final sample consisted of N = 2.275 participants.
In average the participants reported consulting their primary health care practitioner M(SD) = 4.44 (4.76) times in the past 12 months. Generally, the participants rated the quality of the relationship with their primary health care practitioner close to "totally appropriate" (M = 4.12 ± .69). The degree of insecure attachment manifested towards the lower extremity of the scale. The total effect of the mediation analyses was significant. Regardless, the indirect effect indicated a trend result with minimal effect sizes.
The findings of the current study bridged the gap between attachment styles and healthcare utilization. Nonetheless, our results suggested insufficient support for the mediating role of the primary care physician in the relationship between attachment style and healthcare utilization. Considering the characteristics of the sample, this outcome may not apply in a clinical context. However, further research is needed to shed light in the revealed trends and indicate implications.
Pharmacological cognitive enhancement (CE) is a topic of increasing public awareness. In the scientific literature on student use of CE as a study aid for academic performance enhancement, there are ...high prevalence rates regarding the use of caffeinated substances (coffee, caffeinated drinks, caffeine tablets) but remarkably lower prevalence rates regarding the use of illicit/prescription stimulants such as amphetamines or methylphenidate. While the literature considers the reasons and mechanisms for these different prevalence rates from a theoretical standpoint, it lacks empirical data to account for healthy students who use both, caffeine and illicit/prescription stimulants, exclusively for the purpose of CE. Therefore, we extensively interviewed a sample of 18 healthy university students reporting non-medical use of caffeine as well as illicit/prescription stimulants for the purpose of CE in a face-to-face setting about their opinions regarding differences in general and morally-relevant differences between caffeine and stimulant use for CE. 44% of all participants answered that there is a general difference between the use of caffeine and illicit/prescription stimulants for CE, 28% did not differentiate, 28% could not decide. Furthermore, 39% stated that there is a moral difference, 56% answered that there is no moral difference and one participant was not able to comment on moral aspects. Participants came to their judgements by applying three dimensions: medical, ethical and legal. Weighing the medical, ethical and legal aspects corresponded to the students' individual preferences of substances used for CE. However, their views only partly depicted evidence-based medical aspects and the ethical issues involved. This result shows the need for well-directed and differentiated information to prevent the potentially harmful use of illicit or prescription stimulants for CE.

Measurements and Main Results
An anonymous, specialized questionnaire that used the randomized response technique was distributed to students at the beginning of classes and was collected afterward. From the responses, we calculated the prevalence of students taking drugs only to improve their cognitive performance and not to treat underlying mental disorders such as attention‐deficit–hyperactivity disorder, depression, and sleep disorders. The estimated 12‐month prevalence of using cognitive‐enhancing drugs was 20%. Prevalence varied by sex (male 23.7%, female 17.0%), field of study (highest in students studying sports‐related fields, 25.4%), and semester (first semester 24.3%, beyond first semester 16.7%). To our knowledge, this is the first time that the randomized response technique has been used to survey students about cognitive‐enhancing drug use.
Conclusion
Using the randomized response technique, our questionnaire provided data that showed a high 12‐month prevalence of cognitive‐enhancing drug use in German university students. Our study suggests that other direct survey techniques have underestimated the use of these drugs. Drug prevention programs need to be established at universities to address this issue.
Regulations for measures to protect against SARS-CoV-2 transmission vary widely around the world, with very strict regulations in Germany where respirators (filtering face piece FFP2 or comparable) ...are often mandatory. The efficiency of respirators, however, depends essentially on the tight facial fit avoiding the bypass of contaminated air via gaps between mask and wearer's face. The facial fit can be verified in a fit test. The aim of this review was to describe the quantitative fit test results depending on the respirator designs. A literature search revealed 29 suitable studies. Of all respirators with circumferential head straps, three-panel folded dome-shaped respirators showed the best fit (80.8% of 4625 fit tests passed), followed by rigid-dome-shaped respirators (72.4% of 8234 fit tests passed), duckbill-shaped respirators (31.6% of 2120 fit tests passed), and coffee-filter-shaped respirators (30.9% of 3392 fit tests passed). Respirators with ear loops showed very poor tight fit (3.6% of 222 fit tests passed). In four randomized control trials, single-use respirators were not shown to be superior to surgical masks for the prevention of laboratory-confirmed viral respiratory infections, even when adjusted with a fit test. Therefore, we consider the mandatory use of respirators to be disproportionate and not supported by evidence. Further evidence should be generated, in which scenarios respirators might provide an effective benefit as part of occupational health and safety. For situations with confirmed benefits, only high-quality disposable respirators with head straps or respiratory protective equipment of higher protective levels should be used.
To obtain specific information about cattle in extensive production systems, the usual labor intensive work done by the farmer to find and visit cattle herds in large pastures can be replaced by ...using UAVs. UAVs are capable of assessing traits in cows, like distinguishing individuals and postures. Although these traits and the detection of cattle, do not represent resilience and efficiency directly, these may contain information associated to resilience. We performed a feasibility study of remotely sensed imagery (using datasets from satellites, manned aircrafts, and UAVs), and deep learning techniques to detect, count, identify and characterize posture of individual cows in grassland production systems. With these techniques, we focused on : (1) automatic detection of cattle locations and animal counting; (2) cow postures like standing, grazing or lying; and (3) individual cow identification. Data were collected during three field trials in the Netherlands and Poland. Artificial Intelligence was used to classify the objects (cattle) in the drone imagery. Classification accuracies of >95% were obtained for detecting cows. Accuracies of ~91% were obtained for identifying individual cows, and accuracies of ~88% were obtained for cow postures. These results make camera-mounted drones a promising new technology for monitoring extensive beef production systems.
The presence of coronaviruses on surfaces in the patient environment is a potential source of indirect transmission. Manual cleaning and disinfection measures do not always achieve sufficient removal ...of surface contamination. This increases the importance of automated solutions in the context of final disinfection of rooms in the hospital setting. Ozone is a highly effective disinfectant which, combined with high humidity, is an effective agent against respiratory viruses. Current devices allow continuous nebulization for high room humidity as well as ozone production without any consumables.
In the following study, the effectiveness of a fully automatic room decontamination system based on ozone was tested against bacteriophage Φ6 (phi 6) and bovine coronavirus L9, as surrogate viruses for the pandemic coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
For this purpose, various surfaces (ceramic tile, stainless steel surface and furniture board) were soiled with the surrogate viruses and placed at two different levels in a gas-tight test room. After using the automatic decontamination device according to the manufacturer's instructions, the surrogate viruses were recovered from the surfaces and examined by quantitative cultures. Then, reduction factors were calculated.
The ozone-based room decontamination device achieved virucidal efficacy (reduction factor >4 log10) against both surrogate organisms regardless of the different surfaces and positions confirming a high activity under the used conditions.
Ozone is highly active against SARS-CoV-2 surrogate organisms. Further investigations are necessary for a safe application and efficacy in practice as well as integration into routine processes.
The objective of this study is to analyze the solid and fluid flow behaviors inside a rotary drum using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The CFD model developed was based on an Eulerian–Eulerian ...multiphase flow approach. The capability of the multiphase CFD model to predict the transverse and axial solid flow patterns, the fluid flow profile, and particle residence time was assessed. The model was used to study the effects of drum rotational speed, filling degree, feed rate, and drum inclination angle. It was verified using experimental results of particle and fluid velocities and residence time. The experiments were conducted on pilot scale rotary drums. As could be proved by measured and simulated results, the particle flow near the bed surface exerted a strong entrainment effect on the transverse air flow in the proximity of the bed surface. The study demonstrated the capability of the multiphase CFD model to predict the particle and fluid flow behaviors inside a rotary drum simultaneously.

Relapse of malignant disease remains the major complication in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) after hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) with ...reduced-intensity conditioning (RIC). In this study, we investigated the predictive value of disease-specific markers (DSMs), donor chimerism (DC) analysis of unsorted (UDC) or CD34(+) sorted cells and Wilms' tumor gene 1 (WT1) expression. Eighty-eight patients with AML or MDS were monitored after allogenic HCT following 2 Gy total-body irradiation with (n=84) or without (n=4) fludarabine 3 × 30 mg/m(2), followed by cyclosporin A and mycophenolate mofetil. DSMs were determined by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and WT1 expression by real-time polymerase chain reaction. Chimerism analysis was performed on unsorted or CD34(+) sorted cells, by FISH or short tandem repeat polymerase chain reaction. Twenty-one (24%) patients relapsed within 4 months after HCT. UDC, CD34(+) DC and WT1 expression were each significant predictors of relapse with sensitivities ranging from 53 to 79% and specificities of 82-91%. Relapse within 28 days was excluded almost entirely on the basis of WT1 expression combined with CD34(+) DC kinetics. Monitoring of WT1 expression and CD34(+) DC predict relapse of AML and MDS after RIC-HCT.
Since the industrial revolution, the relationship between unemployment and psychiatric disorders has been a subject of high interest. Currently, regarding the correlation between unemployment and ...substance-use disorders (SUDs), only older, often isolated and fragmented research results are available in the literature. This review was based on an extensive literature search of the European and North American literature in most relevant databases for "unemployment" and "substance use" related to "drugs", "alcohol", "nicotine", and "tobacco" between November 2022 and January 2023, according to the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic review and Meta-Analysis) guidelines. A total of 59,117 papers were identified, of which only 33 articles were identified as relevant to the research objective. The literature showed significantly higher prevalence rates of SUDs involving divergent psychotropic substances among unemployed people. Unemployment was found to be a risk factor for SUD, and vice versa. However, the correlation between unemployment and relapses or smoking cessation was inconsistent. In addition, there appeared to be a mild effect of business cycles on SUD. The results showed significant multifaceted correlations between unemployment and SUD, indicating that prevention and early intervention are required to prevent harmful psychosocial consequences, such as social disintegration and severe psychiatric disorders.
