We are witnessing that the healthcare system of the Republic of Croatia is faced with numerous challenges, especially financial ones. Many activities are needed to improve the condition. In this ...paper, the emphasis is on the application of information and communication technology (ICT) as a tool for reducing costs and increasing income. The hypothesis of the work is that with the help of ICT we can directly, but also indirectly, by applying ICT through the so-called Dynamic Balanced Scorecard (DBSC) to influence business improvement. The DBSC method enables the evaluation of financial operations indirectly through employee education, optimization of business processes and increased patient satisfaction. In addition to the DBSC method, analysis of the collected literature, cost-benefit method and case studies are used to test the hypothesis. Regarding structure of the work, the introduction explains the context of the hospital's operations, defines the goals, hypothesis and research methods. This is followed by a description of the conducted research. The conclusion contains final considerations as well as suggestions for future research.
Tourism value of a modern tourist destination depends on managing and organizing social, historical, cultural and natural resources into a unique tourist attraction. Changing trends in cultural ...tourism and technological development affect the creation of new cultural tourism products and channels of their promotion. Virtual and augmented reality offer new ways of promotion and consumption of cultural tourism services. Destinations adapt to these changes by creating a tourism offer in accordance with sustainable development. Furthermore, tourist destinations needed to adapt to Covid-19 pandemic conditions and therefore started using new trends in virtual and augmented reality. Virtual reality and digital technologies are beneficial in creating and implementing new forms of cultural tourism, especially in the given circumstances of new travel rules and changed tourist expectations, with an emphasis on social distance, preserving the health of tourists and local population and protecting the environment. The aims of this paper are to define the changes in cultural tourism caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and explore the effect of new technologies such as virtual and augmented reality on cultural tourism development. The paper also aims to determine the possibilities for cultural tourism development regarding new trends. Historical method, desk research, analysis and synthesis have been used for the purpose of this paper. Paper contribution is reflected in applying new trends which resulted in changes in tourist behaviour in pandemic conditions, as well as insights into the possibilities of developing different models of cultural tourism consumption in accordance with new technological achievements.

congress tourism as a separate form of business tourism which is the focus of this paper. Congress tourism is a lucrative segment of the tourist offer that often takes place out of the tourist season. It requires quality congress facilities which can meet the needs of the participants and organizers of the congress. The main role of congress tourism is to gather participants from different countries and promote different products, services, training, education and many other fields of business while at the same time it promotes the hosting destination and its tourism attractions. The aim of this paper is to research and determine the current situation, supply and demand of the Croatian meetings and congress industry in comparison with the neighbouring destinations, the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Serbia. The study and comparison between three destinations imply changes that need to take place to improve the congress offer, to detect what the competitive position of the Republic of Croatia is, which marketing activities to improve so that the Republic of Croatia can become a competitive destination in the region and Europe. Congress tourism as a form of business tourism in Croatia is growing. The most prominent cities in this form of tourism are Zagreb, Dubrovnik and Opatija. The objectives pursued in Croatian congress offer are: the number of participants in congresses, strengthening the quality of congress offer and infrastructure, ensuring coordinated actions of stakeholders and increasing the recognition and awareness of Croatia as a congress destination. Since joining the EU, Slovenia has become an interesting destination for other members of the EU. Congress activity in Slovenia is booming, with a growing number of modern equipped convention venues with modern facilities for implementation of convention events. Slovenia has three major congress destinations; Ljubljana, Portorož and Bled that meet the conditions fororganizing congresses. The Republic of Serbia with its tourism development strategy, presented business tourism as a potential selective form of tourism that can contribute to increasing tourist traffic of local and foreign tourists. Congress destinations that represent an ideal destination for congresses are: Belgrade, Novi Sad and Zlatibor. The application of sustainable development in the area of congress tourism plays an important role in form of preservation of resources and environmental protection. Therefore, congress tourism should be managed in a way to meet economic, social, ecological and aesthetic needs of a destination. Methodology used in this research paper consists of desk research, descriptive method, historical method, method of analysis, synthesis and comparative method. Beside secondary data analysis through literature review data are induced from Central Bureau of Statistics, the Institute for Tourism, Zagreb Tourist Board, Tourist Board of Opatija, The Dubrovnik Tourist Board, Serbian Convention Bureau and Research as well as from available published articles, books and internet data related to Slovenian business tourism. This research paper contributes to further scientific research and improvements needed in order to continuously develop and increase the size and quality of business tourism.
Financial statements indicate the financial position and performance of a company as well as cash flows in accordance with the definitions and criteria for recognizing assets, liabilities, revenues ...and expenditures. The purpose of this research paper is to analyse and compare the financial statements of six leading pharmaceutical companies in the Republic of Croatia in order to determine their level of success, performance and market positioning. Market positioning is used to determine the place the company, product or service occupies in the market and in the consumer's mind - whether it is that of a leader, follower, challenger or tamponer. The aim of the paper is to determine the performance of the leading pharmaceutical companies operating in the Republic of Croatia and their ability to overcome the financial crisis that hit the market in 2009. The methodology used in this paper is analysis, synthesis and desk research. Through the method of vertical, horizontal and fundamental analyses of a period of six years of business, it was possible to determine which company best dealt with the financial crisis. Through the conducted business analysis, the authors determined which company aims to improve its business and thereby achieve a better market position. Results of the research indicate that positioning has determined the competitiveness of individual companies and their importance on the market, as well as to which extent the performance itself is related to market positioning. According to research results, PLIVA is the market leader; the most successful and safest pharmaceutical company in the Republic of Croatia, while other companies have the positions of followers, challengers and tamponers.
The article reveals the principles of functioning of food products market in Russia in conditions of uncertainty. The current reality has arisen not only because of the decisions of foreign countries ...in the field of international trade, but also because of the emergence of threats to the lives of the population through the spread of a particularly dangerous infection throughout the world. Governments of many countries had to accept the new conditions of uncertainty as an objective necessity to reconstruct the economic system, identify weaknesses in the economy and build medium-term plans for the development of trade relations between the countries. The author cites the market of agro-industrial complex as the object of analysis of this research. In the course of the work, the place of Russia in the structure of export and import of food products was considered, the foreign trade balance for the last three years was calculated, and the barriers to entry into the market of food products in the near future were assessed. In conclusion, it is highlighted that the state, by building a sustainable institutional environment under conditions of limited rationality, influences the decisions of the country’s food market participants in order to ensure the competitiveness of the sector of the economy.
Svoj rast i razvoj poduzeća financiraju na različite načine ovisno o tome u kojoj fazi poslovanja se poduzeće nalazi. U fazi zrelosti, odnosno ekspanzije, tri su prevladavajuća načina na koje se ...poduzeće može financirati: 1) iz zadržane dobiti, 2) financiranjem putem duga, te, 3) izdavanjem dionica. Predmet istraživanja ovoga rada su dionička društva i financiranje putem izdavanja dionica. U radu su prikazana glavna obilježja i načini financiranja poslovanja putem emisije dionica. Analiziraju se vrste dionica, proces izdavanja i sudionici te se opisuju elementi i procesi inicijalne i sekundarne javne ponude dionica. Financiranje poslovanja poduzeća putem povlaštenih dionica, koje je relativno slabo zastupljeno kao način financiranja, prikazano je na konkretnom primjeru kupnje povlaštenih dionica Podravke d.d. od strane Europske banke za obnovu i razvoj. U radu su također definirane inicijalne i sekundarne javne ponude dionica u Republici Hrvatskoj u razdoblju od 2006 do danas.
Turistička vrijednost moderne turističke destinacije ovisi o upravljanju i organizaciji
društvenim, povijesnim, kulturnim i prirodnim resursima kao jedinstvenom
turističkom cjelinom. Promjena ...trendova u kulturnom turizmu te razvoj tehnologije
utječe na stvaranje novih proizvoda kulturnog turizma i načina promocije istih.
Virtualna i proširena stvarnost otvara nove načine promocije ali i konzumacije usluga
kulturnog turizma. Destinacije se prilagođavaju promjenama stvarajući turističku
ponudu primjerenu održivom razvoju a virtualnu i proširenu stvarnost koriste s ciljem
usvajanja novih trendova, posebno onih uvjetovanih pandemijom Covid-19. U
uvjetima koje pred turizam postavljaju nova pravila putovanja i drugačija očekivanja
turista, s naglaskom na socijalnu distancu, očuvanje zdravlja turista, lokalnog
stanovništva i okoliša, virtualna stvarnost i digitalne tehnologije pomažu pri realizaciji
i stvaranju novih oblika kulturnog turizma. Ciljevi ovog preglednog rada su utvrditi
promjene kulturnog turizma kao rezultat pandemije Covid-19 te primjene novih
tehnologija poput virtualne i proširene stvarnosti u razvoju kulturnog turizma i
utvrditi mogućnosti razvoja kulturnog turizma u okviru novih trendova. U radu je
korištena povijesna metoda, istraživanje za stolom, analiza i sinteza. Doprinos rada
ogleda se u primjeni novih trendova koji su rezultirali promjenama ponašanja turista
u uvjetima pandemije kao i spoznajama o mogućnostima razvoja različitih modela
konzumacije kulturnog turizma u skladu s novim tehnološkim dostignućima.
Predmet istraživanja ovoga rada je primjena društveno odgovornog poslovanja u agroturizmu, „seljačkom turizmu“ ili „turizmu na obiteljskim poljoprivrednim gospodarstvima“ u Republici Hrvatskoj. Cilj ...je istražiti trendove društveno odgovornog poslovanja kroz poduzetničke aktivnosti u turističkom sektoru koji se odnosi na obiteljska poljoprivredna gospodarstva s tendencijom njihova razvoja u kombinaciji s određenim kontekstualnim čimbenicima. Metode korištene u ovome radu su povijesna, metoda analize i sinteze, indukcije i dedukcije te empirijska kvantitativna metoda putem instrumenta strukturiranog upitnika na uzorku poduzetnika koji posluju kao seoska obiteljska gospodarstva (OPG) na području Republike Hrvatske. Također su provedeni i dubinski intervjui s predstavnicima i vlasnicima obiteljskih poljoprivrednih gospodarstava. Prikupljeni podaci obrađeni su deskriptivnom statistikom te je provedena analiza primjene društveno odgovornog poslovanja u tom segmentu turističke ponude. Praktična implikacija istraživanja je da se društveno odgovorno poslovanje ne smije zanemarivati jer je ona pretpostavka za postizanje poslovne konkurentske prednosti u kombinaciji s promjenom nacionalne kulture primjenjivanja društveno odgovornog poslovanja u agroturizmu.
Financijski izvještaji ukazuju na financijski položaj i uspješnost poslovanja te novčane tijekove u skladu s definicijama i kriterijima za priznavanje imovine, obveza, prihoda i rashoda. Svrha ovog ...istraživačkog rada jest analizirati i usporediti financijska izvješća šest vodećih farmaceutskih tvrtki u Republici Hrvatskoj kako bi se utvrdila njihova razina uspjeha, uspješnosti i tržišnog pozicioniranja. Pozicioniranje na tržištu koristi se za određivanje mjesta koje tvrtka, proizvod ili usluga zauzima na tržištu i u smislu potrošača; voditelj, sljedbenik, izazivač ili tamponer. Cilj rada je utvrditi uspješnost vodećih farmaceutskih tvrtki koje djeluju u Republici Hrvatskoj i njihovu sposobnost da prevladaju fi nancijsku krizu koja je 2009. godine
pogodila tržište. Metodologija korištena u ovom radu je analiza, sinteza i metoda istraživanja za stolom. Kroz metodu vertikalne, horizontalne i fundamentalne analize u roku od pet godina od poslovanja, utvrđeno je koja se tvrtka najbolje nosila s financijskom krizom. Kroz poslovnu analizu, autori su odredili koja tvrtka ima za cilj poboljšati svoje poslovanje i time postići bolju tržišnu poziciju. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da je pozicioniranje odredilo konkurentnost pojedinih tvrtki i njihovu važnost na tržištu te koliko je sama uspješnost povezana s pozicijom koje poduzeće zauzima na tržištu. Prema rezultatima istraživanja PLIVA je tržišni lider; najuspješnija i najsigurnija farmaceutska tvrtka u Republici Hrvatskoj, dok druge tvrtke imaju pozicije sljedbenika, izazivača i tamponera.
