Most existing tracking algorithms do not explicitly consider the motion blur contained in video sequences, which degrades their performance in real-world applications where motion blur often occurs. ...In this paper, we propose to solve the motion blur problem in visual tracking in a unified framework. Specifically, a joint blur state estimation and multi-task reverse sparse learning framework are presented, where the closed-form solution of blur kernel and sparse code matrix is obtained simultaneously. The reverse process considers the blurry candidates as dictionary elements, and sparsely represents blurred templates with the candidates. By utilizing the information contained in the sparse code matrix, an efficient likelihood model is further developed, which quickly excludes irrelevant candidates and narrows the particle scale down. Experimental results on the challenging benchmarks show that our method performs well against the state-of-the-art trackers.
How to effectively organize local descriptors to build a global representation has a critical impact on the performance of vision tasks. Recently, local sparse representation has been successfully ...applied to visual tracking, owing to its discriminative nature and robustness against local noise and partial occlusions. Local sparse codes computed with a template actually form a three-order tensor according to their original layout, although most existing pooling operators convert the codes to a vector by concatenating or computing statistics on them. We argue that, compared to pooling vectors, the tensor form could deliver more intrinsic structural information for the target appearance, and can also avoid high dimensionality learning problems suffered in concatenation-based pooling methods. Therefore, in this paper, we propose to represent target templates and candidates directly with sparse coding tensors, and build the appearance model by incrementally learning on these tensors. We propose a discriminative framework to further improve robustness of our method against drifting and environmental noise. Experiments on a recent comprehensive benchmark indicate that our method performs better than state-of-the-art trackers.
We introduce here a large tracking database that offers an unprecedentedly wide coverage of common moving objects in the wild, called GOT-10k. Specifically, GOT-10k is built upon the backbone of ...WordNet structure <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref1">1 and it populates the majority of over 560 classes of moving objects and 87 motion patterns, magnitudes wider than the most recent similar-scale counterparts <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref19">19 , <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref20">20 , <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref23">23 , <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="ref26">26 . By releasing the large high-diversity database, we aim to provide a unified training and evaluation platform for the development of class-agnostic, generic purposed short-term trackers. The features of GOT-10k and the contributions of this article are summarized in the following. (1) GOT-10k offers over 10,000 video segments with more than 1.5 million manually labeled bounding boxes, enabling unified training and stable evaluation of deep trackers. (2) GOT-10k is by far the first video trajectory dataset that uses the semantic hierarchy of WordNet to guide class population, which ensures a comprehensive and relatively unbiased coverage of diverse moving objects. (3) For the first time, GOT-10k introduces the one-shot protocol for tracker evaluation, where the training and test classes are zero-overlapped . The protocol avoids biased evaluation results towards familiar objects and it promotes generalization in tracker development. (4) GOT-10k offers additional labels such as motion classes and object visible ratios, facilitating the development of motion-aware and occlusion-aware trackers. (5) We conduct extensive tracking experiments with 39 typical tracking algorithms and their variants on GOT-10k and analyze their results in this paper. (6) Finally, we develop a comprehensive platform for the tracking community that offers full-featured evaluation toolkits, an online evaluation server, and a responsive leaderboard. The annotations of GOT-10k's test data are kept private to avoid tuning parameters on it.

In this paper, we present a novel part-based visual tracking method from the perspective of probability sampling. Specifically, we represent the target by a part space with two online learned ...probabilities to capture the structure of the target. The proposal distribution memorizes the historical performance of different parts, and it is used for the first round of part selection. The acceptance probability validates the specific tracking stability of each part in a frame, and it determines whether to accept its vote or to reject it. By doing this, we transform the complex online part selection problem into a probability learning one, which is easier to tackle. The observation model of each part is constructed by an improved supervised descent method and is learned in an incremental manner. Experimental results on two benchmarks demonstrate the competitive performance of our tracker against state-of-the-art methods.
Background
This study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram and present it on a website to be used to predict the overall survival at 16, 32, and 48 months in patients with prolonged disorder of ...consciousness (pDOC).
Methods
We retrospectively analyzed the data of 381 patients with pDOC at two centers. The data were randomly divided into training and validation sets using a ratio of 6:4. On the training set, Cox proportional hazard analyses were used to identify the predictive variables. In the training set, two models were screened by COX regression analysis, and based on clinical evidence, model 2 was eventually selected in the nomogram after comparing the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) of the two models. In the training and validation sets, ROC curves, calibration curves, and decision curve analysis (DCA) curves were utilized to measure discrimination, calibration, and clinical efficacy, respectively.
Results
The final model included age, Glasgow coma scale (GCS) score, serum albumin level, and computed tomography (CT) midline shift, all of which had a significant effect on survival after DOCs. For the 16-, 32-, and 48-month survival on the training set, the model had good discriminative power, with areas under the curve (AUCs) of 0.791, 0.760, and 0.886, respectively. For the validation set, the AUCs for the 16-, 32-, and 48-month survival predictions were 0.806, 0.789, and 0.867, respectively. Model performance was good for both the training and validation sets according to calibration plots and DCA.
Conclusion
We developed an accurate, efficient nomogram, and a corresponding website based on four correlated factors to help clinicians improve their assessment of patient outcomes and help personalize the treatment process and clinical decisions.

Here, for providing better insight of future evolutionary and taxonomic classification of Stichopodidae, we report the first complete mitogenome of S. ocellatus along with 37 annotated and characterized mitochondrial genes, and the phylogenetic analysis based on mitogenome data reveals sister relationship between S. ocellatus and S. monotuberculatus.
The deep-water redfish, Actinopyga echinites, is an ecologically and economically important holothuroid in China due to its valuable nutrition and pharmacological compounds. However, the taxonomy and ...phylogeny of the Actinopyga have been debated and misidentifications have been reported recently. Moreover, there remain considerable doubts about cryptic species complex within Actinopyga. In this study, we report the first complete mitochondrial genome of Actinopyga from A. echinites. The mitogenome has 15,619 base pairs (62.9% A + T content) and made up of a total of 37 genes (13 protein-coding, 22 transfer RNAs, and 2 ribosomal RNAs), and a putative control region. This study was the first available complete mitogenome of Actinopyga and will provide useful genetic information for future phylogenetic and taxonomic classification of Holothuriidae.
Holothuria scabra, a commercially valuable yet ecologically vulnerable tropical holothuroid, has experienced a severe decline in its wild populations, especially in China. Genomic resources are ...crucial for the development of effective genomic breeding projects and stock conservation strategies to restore these natural populations. Until now, a high-quality, chromosome-level reference genome for H. scabra has not been available. Here, we employed Oxford Nanopore and Hi-C sequencing technologies to assemble and annotate a high-quality, chromosome-level reference genome of H. scabra. The final genome comprised 31 scaffolds with a total length of 1.19 Gb and a scaffold N50 length of 53.52 Mb. Remarkably, 1,191.67 Mb (99.95%) of the sequences were anchored to 23 pseudo-chromosomes, with the longest one spanning 79.75 Mb. A total of 34,418 protein-coding genes were annotated in the final genome, with BUSCO analysis revealing 98.01% coverage of metazoa_odb10 genes, marking a significant improvement compared to the previous report. These chromosome-level sequences and annotations will provide an essential genomic basis for further investigation into molecular breeding and conservation management of H. scabra.
