Obesity plays an important role in the pathogenesis of atrial fibrillation (AF). Recently, rather than general fat distribution, epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) gains a growing concern. EAT is the ...local adipose deposition between myocardium and pericardium. Accumulated evidence revealed several distinguishing characteristics of EAT. It lies contiguously with the myocardium and could infiltration into myocardium, actively secrets cytokines and adipokines mediating inflammation or remodeling, and contains abundant ganglionated plexi. Clinical research also found EAT may be an independent risk factor of AF. Volume or thickness of EAT measured on CT or MRI could be applied as a predictor of presence, severity, and recurrence of AF. Some drugs, like antidiabetic drugs and lipid‐lowing drugs, show ability to reduce EAT. Additional surgical ablation of EAT was also proved that it could improve outcome of pulmonary vein isolation for AF. In present review, we summarize recent epidemic, biological, and clinical findings about EAT and its possible role in AF.
This study aims to investigate the temporal and spatial attributes of the exit of Taiwanese enterprises from mainland China between 2001 and 2021, by applying enterprise database data. Furthermore, ...the influence of strategic coupling on Taiwanese enterprises' exit from mainland China was also investigated. The following are the key findings: The spatial distribution pattern of the exit rate of Taiwanese enterprises in mainland China varied at different phases. In contrast, the inland regions of the country's central and western zones, which are characterized by comparatively less developed economies, maintained consistently high exit rates, whereas the eastern coastal region retained a low exit rate. Particularly, the relationship between Taiwanese enterprises and the invested areas changed from Captive coupling to Cooperative coupling and subsequently to Absorptive Coupling. Similarly, the coupling modes significantly influenced the exit of Taiwanese enterprises from mainland China. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to the backward connection of Taiwanese corporations, which have become more reliant on the mainland China market and local suppliers than earlier. Taiwan-favoring policies and the regional innovation environment have consequently emerged as the primary locational advantages for retaining Taiwanese enterprises in the aftermath of the global financial crisis. Therefore, the aforementioned factors may help to reduce the Taiwanese enterprises' exit from mainland China and possess valuable policy implications for Taiwan investment zones in mainland China.
The occupational profiling system driven by the traditional survey method has some shortcomings such as lag in updating, time consumption and laborious revision. It is necessary to refine and improve ...the traditional occupational portrait system through dynamic occupational information. Under the circumstances of big data, this paper showed the feasibility of vocational portraits driven by job advertisements with data analysis and processing engineering technicians (DAPET) as an example. First, according to the description of occupation in the Chinese Occupation Classification Grand Dictionary, a text similarity algorithm was used to preliminarily choose recruitment data with high similarity. Second, Convolutional Neural Networks for Sentence Classification (TextCNN) was used to further classify the preliminary corpus to obtain a precise occupational dataset. Third, the specialty and skill were taken as named entities that were automatically extracted by the named entity recognition technology. Finally, putting the extracted entities into the occupational dataset, the occupation characteristics of multiple dimensions were depicted to form a profile of the vocation.
To address the diverse needs of enterprise users and the cold-start issue of recommendation system, this paper proposes a quality-service demand classification method—1D-CNN-CrossEntorpyLoss, based ...on cross-entropy loss and one-dimensional convolutional neural network (1D-CNN) with the comprehensive enterprise quality portrait labels. The main idea of 1D-CNN-CrossEntorpyLoss is to use cross-entropy to minimize the loss of 1D-CNN model and enhance the performance of the enterprise quality-service demand classification. The transaction data of the enterprise quality-service platform are selected as the data source. Finally, the performance of 1D-CNN-CrossEntorpyLoss is compared with XGBoost, SVM, and logistic regression models. From the experimental results, it can be found that 1D-CNN-CrossEntorpyLoss has the best classification results with an accuracy of 72.44%. In addition, compared to the results without the enterprise-quality portrait, the enterprise-quality portrait improves the accuracy and recall of 1D-CNN-CrossEntorpyLoss model. It is also verified that the enterprise-quality portrait can further improve the classification ability of enterprise quality-service demand, and 1D-CNN-CrossEntorpyLoss is better than other classification methods, which can improve the precision service of the comprehensive quality service platform for MSMEs.
Glioblastoma (GBM) is a severe malignant brain cancer with poor overall survival. Conventional intervention remains dismal to prevent recurrence and deterioration of GBM cell. Recent years have ...witnessed exciting breakthroughs in novel immune strategies, especially checkpoint inhibitors, some of which have become adjuvant setting after standard of care in melanoma. Several clinical trials of checkpoint inhibitors are ongoing in glioblastoma and other brain carcinomas. Plus, synergistic combinations of checkpoint inhibitors with conventional therapy strategies-radiotherapy, temozolomide, bevacizumab, and corticosteroids are now being exploited and applied in clinical settings. This review highlights the recent developments of checkpoints in GBM immunotherapy to provide a brief and comprehensive review of current treatment options. Furthermore, we will discuss challenges remained, such as unique immune system of central nervous system (CNS), immune-related toxicities, synergies, and adverse interactions of combination therapies.
Previous studies indicated long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) participated in the pathogenesis of atrial fibrillation (AF). However, little is known about the role of lncRNAs in AF-induced electrical ...remodeling. This study aimed to investigate the regulatory effect of lncRNA GAS5 (GAS5) on the electrical remodeling of neonatal rat cardiomyocytes (NRCMs) induced by rapid pacing (RP). RNA microarray analysis yielded reduced GAS5 level in NRCMs after RP. RT-qPCR, western blot, and immunofluorescence yielded downregulated levels of Nav1.5, Kv4.2, and Cav1.2 after RP, and whole-cell patch-clamp yielded decreased sodium, potassium, and calcium current. Overexpression of GAS5 attenuated electrical remodeling. Bioinformatics tool prediction analysis and dual luciferase reporter assay confirmed a direct negative regulatory effect for miR-27a-3p on lncRNA-GAS5 and HOXa10. Further analysis demonstrated that either miR-27a-3p overexpression or the knockdown of HOXa10 further downregulated Nav1.5, Kv4.2, and Cav1.2 expression. GAS5 overexpression antagonized such effects in Nav1.5 and Kv4.2 but not in Cav1.2. These results indicate that, in RP-treated NRCMs, GAS5 could restore Nav1.5 and Kv4.2 expression via the miR-27a-3p/HOXa10 pathway. However, the mechanism of GAS5 restoring Cav1.2 level remains unclear. Our study suggested that GAS5 regulated cardiac ion channels via the GAS5/miR-27a-3p/HOXa10 pathway and might be a potential therapeutic target for AF.
Patients with brain tumor are in risk of depression or depressive symptoms, but the estimated prevalence varies between studies. The aim of this study is to get a proper summarized estimate of ...depression prevalence in brain tumor patients.
Literature search on Pubmed, PsycINFO, and Cochrane library from January 1981 through October 2016. The prevalence of depression or depressive symptoms in brain tumor patients was estimated by screening scales and analyzed using stratified meta-analysis and subgroup analysis. The prevalence of depression level or symptoms during the follow-up periods was detected by secondary analysis.
Among the 37 studies included in this meta-analysis, 25 used a cross-sectional design and 12 used longitudinal study. The pooled prevalence was 21.7% (971/4518 individuals, 95 % confidence interval (CI) 18.2%-25.2%) for overall sample. Lower prevalence was detected in studies with sample size ≥100 than <100, lower grade tumor than high grade tumor, studies using clinician-rated depression scales than self-rated or non-depression-specific ones, and in patients from UK, Germany and Italy than USA. After analyzing 6 longitudinal studies, prevalence of depression remained no change in the follow-up periods. No significant differences were observed between study designs and tumor types.
The estimated prevalence of depression or depressive symptoms among brain tumor patients was 21.7%, affected by depression assessment type, sample size, tumor grade and country. Diagnosis and treatment of co-morbid depression in brain tumor patients need to be addressed in future studies for better life quality and oncology management.
In the process of intelligent system operation fault diagnosis and decision making, the multi-source, heterogeneous, complex, and fuzzy characteristics of information make the conflict, uncertainty, ...and validity problems appear in the process of information fusion, which has not been solved. In this study, we analyze the credibility and variation of conflict among evidence from the perspective of conflict credibility weight and propose an improved model of multi-source information fusion based on Dempster-Shafer theory (DST). From the perspectives of the weighting strategy and Euclidean distance strategy, we process the basic probability assignment (BPA) of evidence and assign the credible weight of conflict between evidence to achieve the extraction of credible conflicts and the adoption of credible conflicts in the process of evidence fusion. The improved algorithm weakens the problem of uncertainty and ambiguity caused by conflicts in the information fusion process, and reduces the impact of information complexity on analysis results. And it carries a practical application out with the fault diagnosis of wind turbine system to analyze the operation status of wind turbines in a wind farm to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The result shows that under the conditions of improved distance metric evidence discrepancy and credible conflict quantification, the algorithm better shows the conflict and correlation among the evidence. It improves the accuracy of system operation reliability analysis, improves the utilization rate of wind energy resources, and has practical implication value.
