It is well emphasized in the literature that PR practice is largely determined by the socio-political and economic context in which it works. However, it is argued that PR practice is slowly changing ...to adapt to specific contexts and needs, especially for the elite groups it serves. This study discusses how PR practice as a discourse technologist through CSR initiatives programs works in the coal mining industry in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. By using Foucauldian Discourse Analysis, this article assesses the dominant themes that arise from the interview with PR and CSR practitioners and the CSR Reports from two coal mining companies which awarded several CSR awards in national and international level. The study found two dominant PR practices as corporate discourse technologists, which are to promote CSR to improve corporate competitiveness and to act as CSR programs advisor that are subjected to PR ethical standards dilemma.
The establishment of universal health care marks a new momentum for the progressive realization of the right to health in Indonesia. The problem of corruption in health sector endangers the ...sustainability of effective and quality health care, therefore, Indonesia established an anti-fraud system to protect the universal health insurance fund. This research seeks to analyze the current anti-fraud system in universal health insurance through the lens of international law and principles of good governance. The sociolegal approach is chosen to study the relationship between the State party obligations to international law and the implementation of international law concerning universal health care and anti-corruption in the designated anti-fraud system. Good governance principles are essential in designing an effective anti-fraud system due to the correlation between human rights and anti-corruption that both areas emphasize good governance principles as guiding principles for the realization of human rights and the making of potent anti-corruption strategy.
Law Number 18 of 2017 has significantly expanded the role of village govern-ments in protecting migrant workers, specifically by focusing on the social andeconomic empowerment of Indonesian migrant ...workers. Within TulungagungDistrict, two villages—Sukorejo Wetan and Tanen—have already establishedTask Forces for the Prevention and Handling of Violence Against Women Mi-grant Workers and Laws on the Elimination of Human Trafficking. This re-search, conducted in these villages, aims to achieve three objectives. Firstly, itseeks to identify the actors involved in protecting women migrant workers andunderstand the relationships between them. Secondly, it aims to describe theaccessibility and role of migrant and post-migrant women’s groups in protect-ing women migrant workers. Finally, it aims to explore the existence of pro-feminist policies in this context. Using a feminist research methodology, thestudy employs qualitative methods such as in-depth interviews and documentstudies. The findings highlight an asymmetric collaboration between civil so-ciety groups and the village government, with civil society dominating theformation and implementation of activities by the Officer Unit (Satgas). Thisasymmetry is intertwined with the absence of resource redistribution from thevillage government, particularly in terms of budget allocation.
Online purchasing decision-making is currently faced with a lack of trust from consumers as a result of the inability of marketers to deliver services satisfactorily, which results in the emergence ...of risk perceptions in purchases. This study aimed to determine how the effect of seller service quality and consumer confidence on perceived risk and how they influence purchasing decisions. Another goal is to determine the role of perceived risk as an intervening variable. The design of this study was a cross-sectional survey of respondents in the city of Serang and its surroundings. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The survey used the Google form with a total of 129 respondents. The analysis method uses descriptive and inferential statistics and SMART PLS software is used for data processing. The results showed a significant negative effect of service quality on perceived risk and a significant negative effect of perceived risk on online purchasing decisions. Perceived risk is an intervening variable from consumer confidence to online purchasing decisions. Online purchasing can be enhanced by increasing trust and service and reducing perceived risk.

The present gold standard for bladder cancer is Mycobacterium bovis, Bacillus Calmette Guerin (BCG) immunotherapy. But it has a non‐responder rate of 30–50% and side ...effects are common. Lactobacillus casei strain Shirota has been reported to reduce the incidence of recurrence in bladder cancer patients and to cure tumor‐bearing mice. Our aim was to determine if Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) could be as efficacious as BCG in a murine model of bladder cancer. MB49 bladder cancer cells secreting human prostate‐specific antigen were implanted orthotopically in female C57BL/6 mice and urinary prostate‐specific antigen levels were used as a marker of tumor growth. Mice were treated with either live or lyophilized LGG given via intravesical instillation, or both oral and intravesical LGG given once a week for a period of 6 weeks starting at day 4 after tumor implantation. A comparison of LGG and BCG immunotherapy was also carried out. LGG therapy (live or lyophilized) significantly (P = 0.006) increased the number of cured mice. Cytokine arrays and immune cell recruitment analysis revealed differences between untreated, treated, cured, and tumor‐bearing mice. LGG therapy restored XCL1 levels to those in healthy bladders. LGG also recruited large numbers of neutrophils and macrophages to the tumor site. Intravesical LGG and BCG immunotherapy had cure rates of 89 and 77%, respectively, compared with 20% in untreated mice. LGG has the potential to replace BCG immunotherapy for the treatment of bladder cancer.
Chemical compounds from cocoa, buni, and cinnamons are expected to inhibit the activity of the enzyme α-amylase, α-glucosidase, and proanthocyanidin as mimetic insulin. Cinnamic acid may inhibit the ...enzyme activity of HMG-CoA reductase, so that provides benefits for people with diabetes mellitus because it can stimulate pancreatic cells to produce insulin. The objective of this study was to evaluate polyphenols and a-amylase inhibitory activity of a multiherbal formulation. The multiherbal extract prepares with aqueous, acetone, and ethanol. Total phenolic content was found to be 236.28 mg of GAE/100 g (cacao fat extract), 217.94 mg of GAE/100 g (cacao free fat extract), 159.61 mg of GAE/100 g (cinnamons extract), and 181 mg of GAE/100 g (buni extract). α-amylase inhibitory activity found to be 88.74 ppm (cacao extract), 85.32 ppm (cinnamons extract), 83,49 ppm (buni extract), and 13.07 ppm (acarbose). All compounds revealed inhibition potential with IC50 when compared to the standard acarbose.
Escherichia coli are one of the commonest bacteria causing bloodstream infection (BSI). The aim of the research was to identify the serotypes, MLST (Multi Locus Sequence Type), virulence genes, and ...antimicrobial resistance of E. coli isolated from bloodstream infection hospitalized patients in Cipto Mangunkusumo National Hospital Jakarta. We used whole genome sequencing methods rather than the conventional one, to characterized the serotypes, MLST (Multi Locus Sequence Type), virulence genes, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) of E. coli. The composition of E. coli sequence types (ST) was as follows: ST131 (n = 5), ST38 (n = 3), ST405 (n = 3), ST69 (n = 3), and other STs (ST1057, ST127, ST167, ST3033, ST349, ST40, ST58, ST6630). Enteroaggregative E. coli (EAEC) and Extra-intestinal pathogenic E. coli (ExPEC) groups were found dominant in our samples. Twenty isolates carried virulence genes for host cells adherence and 15 for genes that encourage E. coli immune evasion by enhancing survival in serum. ESBL-genes were present in 17 E. coli isolates. Other AMR genes also encoded resistance against aminoglycosides, quinolones, chloramphenicol, macrolides and trimethoprim. The phylogeny analysis showed that phylogroup D is dominated and followed by phylogroup B2. The E. coli isolated from 22 patients in Cipto Mangunkusumo National Hospital Jakarta showed high diversity in serotypes, sequence types, virulence genes, and AMR genes. Based on this finding, routinely screening all bacterial isolates in health care facilities can improve clinical significance. By using Whole Genome Sequencing for laboratory-based surveillance can be a valuable early warning system for emerging pathogens and resistance mechanisms.
