Escherichia coli are one of the commonest bacteria causing bloodstream infection (BSI). The aim of the research was to identify the serotypes, MLST (Multi Locus Sequence Type), virulence genes, and ...antimicrobial resistance of E. coli isolated from bloodstream infection hospitalized patients in Cipto Mangunkusumo National Hospital Jakarta. We used whole genome sequencing methods rather than the conventional one, to characterized the serotypes, MLST (Multi Locus Sequence Type), virulence genes, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) of E. coli. The composition of E. coli sequence types (ST) was as follows: ST131 (n = 5), ST38 (n = 3), ST405 (n = 3), ST69 (n = 3), and other STs (ST1057, ST127, ST167, ST3033, ST349, ST40, ST58, ST6630). Enteroaggregative E. coli (EAEC) and Extra-intestinal pathogenic E. coli (ExPEC) groups were found dominant in our samples. Twenty isolates carried virulence genes for host cells adherence and 15 for genes that encourage E. coli immune evasion by enhancing survival in serum. ESBL-genes were present in 17 E. coli isolates. Other AMR genes also encoded resistance against aminoglycosides, quinolones, chloramphenicol, macrolides and trimethoprim. The phylogeny analysis showed that phylogroup D is dominated and followed by phylogroup B2. The E. coli isolated from 22 patients in Cipto Mangunkusumo National Hospital Jakarta showed high diversity in serotypes, sequence types, virulence genes, and AMR genes. Based on this finding, routinely screening all bacterial isolates in health care facilities can improve clinical significance. By using Whole Genome Sequencing for laboratory-based surveillance can be a valuable early warning system for emerging pathogens and resistance mechanisms.
Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections are among the most common urological infections world-wide. Bacterial biofilms and encrustation cause significant complications in patients with urinary ...catheters. The objective of the study is to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of an anti-microbial and anti-encrustation silver nanoparticle (AgNP) coating on silicone urinary catheter in two different animal models.
Antifouling coating (P3) was prepared with alternate layers of polydopamine and AgNP and an outermost antifouling layer. Sixteen C57BL/6 female mice and two female PWG Micropigs® were used to perform the experiments. In mice, a 5 mm long silicone catheter with or without P3 was transurethrally placed into the urinary bladder. Micropigs were transurethrally implanted - one with P3 silicone catheter and the other with commercially available silver coated silicone catheter. Both models were challenged with E. coli. Bacteriuria was evaluated routinely and upon end of study (2 weeks for mice, 3 weeks for micropigs), blood, catheters and bladders were harvested and analysed for bacterial colonization and encrustation as well as for toxicity.
Lower bacterial colonization was seen on P3 catheters as well as in bladders of animals with P3 catheter. Bacteriuria was consistently less in mice with P3 catheter than with uncoated catheters. Encrustation was lower on P3 catheter and in bladder of micropig with P3 catheter. No significant toxicity of P3 was observed in mice or in micropig as compared to controls. The numbers were small in this proof of concept study and technical issues were noted especially with the porcine model.
Antifouling P3 coating reduces bacterial colonization on catheter and in animal bladders without causing any considerable toxicity for 2 to 3 weeks. This novel coating could potentially reduce the complications of indwelling urethral catheters.

Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 30 karyawan PT.Jombang Intermedia Pers (Radar Jombang) dengan metode sampling jenuh. Metode analisis menggunakan SEM (Structural equation Model) dengan alat analisis Pls versi 3. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan ada pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara konflik peran terhadap stres kerja. Namun, justru konflik peran berpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan kerja, stres kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan kerja, dan stres kerja tidak mampu memediasi antara konflik peran terhadap kepuasan kerja.
The Nutritional problem that many occur in the pregnant women was anemia. When the mother was not pregnant, iron needed, could be fullfil from a healthy and balanced diet, But in a state of ...pregnancy, iron supply from food was still insufficient, So it took the supplements of tablets plus blood/iron 90 tablets during pregnancy. The incidence of anemia in Sikijang Public Health Center increased. While the distribution of Fe3 tablets in pregnant women has reached 100%.The purpose of this research is to know the relationship Counseling and family support for maternity compliance consuming Fe tabletsIn the working area of Sikijang Community Health Center 2015.The type of this research is analytic with cross sectional approach.The sample in this study was 70 pregnant women. The sampling technique was done by proportional random sampling. The data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate using Chi Square test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between counseling with adherence level of pregnant women who consuming Fe tablet with p value 0.034. There was a significant relationship between the family support and compliance rate of pregnant women who consuming Fe tablets with p value 0.029. Masalah gizi yang banyak terjadi pada ibu hamil adalah anemia. Saat keadaan tidak hamil, kebutuhan zat besi biasanya dapat dipenuhi dari menu makanan sehat dan seimbang.Tetapi dalam keadaan hamil, suplai zat besi dari makanan masih belum mencukupi sehingga dibutuhkan suplemen berupa tablet tambah darah/zat besi 90 tablet selama kehamilan. Kejadian anemia di Puskesmas Sikijang mengalami peningkatan. Sedangkan pendistribusian pemberian tablet Fe3 pada ibu hamil sudah mencapai target. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan konseling dan dukungan keluarga terhadap kepatuhan ibu hamil mengkonsumsi tablet Fe di wilayah kerja puskesmas Sikijang Tahun 2015. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan crossectional. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 70 orang ibu hamil. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara proportional random sampling. Data dianalisa secara Univariat dan bivariate dengan menggunakan uji Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara konseling dengan tingkat kepatuhan ibu hamil mengkonsumsi tablet Fe dengan p value 0,034. Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara dukungan keluarga dengan tingkat kepatuhan ibu hamil mengkonsumsi tablet Fe dengan p value 0,029.
This study evaluates the ability of Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) to activate DC and neutrophils and modulate T cell activation and the impact of bacterial dose on these responses. Murine bone ...marrow derived DC or neutrophils were stimulated with LGG at ratios of 5 : 1, 10 : 1, and 100 : 1 (LGG : cells) and DC maturation (CD40, CD80, CD86, CD83, and MHC class II) and cytokine production (IL-10, TNF-α, and IL-12p70) were examined after 2 h and 18 h coculture and compared to the ability of BCG (the present immunotherapeutic agent for bladder cancer) to stimulate these cells. A 2 h exposure to 100 : 1 (high dose) or an 18 h exposure to 5 : 1 or 10 : 1 (low dose), LGG : cells, induced the highest production of IL-12 and upregulation of CD40, CD80, CD86, and MHC II on DC. In DCs stimulated with LGG activated neutrophils IL-12 production decreased with increasing dose. LGG induced 10-fold greater IL-12 production than BCG. T cell IFNγ and IL-2 production was significantly greater when stimulated with DC activated with low dose LGG. In conclusion, DC or DC activated with neutrophils exposed to low dose LGG induced greater Th1 polarization in T cells and this could potentially exert stronger antitumor effects. Thus the dose of LGG used for immunotherapy could determine treatment efficacy.

Tulisan ini Mengkaji peranan beberapa enzim sebagai biomarker untuk mendiagnosis penyakit infeksi seperti enzim aminotransferase pada penyakit demam berdarah dengue, enzim urease pada infeksi Helicobacter pylori, enzim procalsitonin pada pasien sepsis. Tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan kepustakaan guna menelaah lebih mendalam mengenai peranan enzim dalam diagnosis penyakit infeksi. Hilangnya keseimbangan antara pembentukan dan penghancuran enzim mengakibatkan lepasnya enzim ke aliran darah sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai biomarker penyakit.
Relationship of Emotional Intelligence to Student Learning Outcomes in Social Studies Subjects at State Elementary School 104333 Marubun Academic Year 2021/2022, This research was carried out at the ...State Elementary School 104333 Marubun, the sample in this study was class V students, totaling 30 students. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the relationship between emotional intelligence and student learning outcomes in social studies subjects at the State Elementary School 104333 Marubun for the Academic Year 2021/2022. The type of research carried out is quasi-experimental, namely research that aims to determine emotional intelligence with social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade students. Data analysis used the Product Moment Correlation formula. Based on the data analysis, it was obtained that the description of emotional intelligence at the State Elementary School 104333 Marubun was in the fairly good category, because from the average score of the questionnaire, the score was 59.60 and included in the fairly good category. While the Social Studies learning outcomes of Class V State Elementary School 104333 Marubun are in the good category, because the value of student learning outcomes is 75.93 and is in the good category. For the correlation test, the t value is 4.942 while the t in the table is 2.05 so that the t count is greater than t in the table, so there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade students at State Elementary School 104333 Marubun Academic Year 2021/ 2022.Keywords: : Giving Reinforcement and Civics Learning OutcomesAbstrak: Hubungan Kecerdasan Emosional Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran IPS Di SD Negeri 104333 Marubun Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022, penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 104333 Marubun, yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah hubungan kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di SD Negeri 104333 Marubun Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah quasi eksperimen, yaitu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V. Analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan rumus Kolerasi Product Moment. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh gambaran kecerdasan emosional di SD Negeri 104333 Marubun masuk dalam kategori cukup baik, karena dari nilai rata-rata angket diperoleh nilai 59,60 dan termasuk kategori cukup baik. Sedangkan hasil belajar IPS Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 104333 Marubun masuk dalam kategori baik, karena nilai hasil belajar siswa adalah 75,93 dan termaksud kategori baik. Untuk uji kolerasi diperoleh nilai t adalah 4,942 sedangkan t dalam tabel adalah 2,05 sehingga t hitung lebih besar dari t dalam tabel maka ada hubungan yang signifikan antara antara kecerdasan emosional terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD Negeri 104333 Marubun Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022.Kata Kunci: Emotional Intelligence and Social Studies Learning Outcomes
