Digital technologies for Industry 4.0, such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data and analytics, have attracted much attention from both researchers and practitioners. Based on ...information processing theory, this study intends to explore how digital technologies influence economic and environmental performance in the new era of Industry 4.0. The mediating effect of digital supply chain platforms and the moderating effect of environmental dynamism are proposed and evaluated using a survey of Chinese manufacturing firms. The results indicate that digital supply chain platforms mediate the effects of digital technologies on both economic and environmental performance and that the mediating effects are enhanced under a high degree of environmental dynamism. This study offers an enhanced understanding of the performance implications of digital technologies and provides managerial insights into how to promote economic and environmental sustainability in the era of Industry 4.0.
Couples undergoing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Treatment suffer as dyads from the stressful experience of the painful treatment and the fear that the IVF cycle will fail. They are likely to report ...that their marital relationship has become unstable due to the prolonged period of treatment.
This is a qualitative study that was conducted to explore the experiences that Chinese couples have had with IVF treatment, especially their perceptions of the process and the support between couples.
The interviews revealed that couples suffered from the process, experiencing physical and emotional pain, struggling with the urgency and inflexibility of bearing a child, and experiencing disturbances in their daily routines and work. The participants described how they endured the hardships as a couple and how it affected their relationship. The couples felt that sharing feelings and supporting each other contribute to psychological well-being and improves the marital relationship. They also identified some unfavorable aspects in their partner relationship. They were ambivalent about receiving social support from friends and family members.
With the couples indicating that the support that they received from each other affected their experience during the treatment process, it is suggested that a supportive intervention that focuses on enhancing the partnership of the couples and dealing with their inflexibility on the issue of bearing a child might result in improvements in the psychological status and marital relationship of infertile couples undergoing IVF treatment.
Multidrug resistance (MDR) occurs frequently after long-term chemotherapy, resulting in refractory cancer and tumor recurrence. Therefore, combatting MDR is an important issue. Autophagy, a ...self-degradative system, universally arises during the treatment of sensitive and MDR cancer. Autophagy can be a double-edged sword for MDR tumors: it participates in the development of MDR and protects cancer cells from chemotherapeutics but can also kill MDR cancer cells in which apoptosis pathways are inactive. Autophagy induced by anticancer drugs could also activate apoptosis signaling pathways in MDR cells, facilitating MDR reversal. Therefore, research on the regulation of autophagy to combat MDR is expanding and is becoming increasingly important. We summarize advanced studies of autophagy in MDR tumors, including the variable role of autophagy in MDR cancer cells.
This article investigates a fault-tolerant control problem for heterogeneous vehicular platoons with actuator faults and saturation. The occurrence of actuator faults may yield large control signals ...to avoid performance loss, which can potentially lead to saturation of the actuator that may cause further performance deterioration or even instability. To compensate for the effects of actuator faults and saturation, an adaptive fault-tolerant control method is proposed based on nonlinear vehicle dynamics and a new quadratic spacing policy. The improved quadratic spacing policy is introduced to remove the assumption of zero initial spacing errors. The nonlinear vehicle dynamics is approximated by a radial basis function neural network (RBFNN). The adaptive fault-tolerant platoon control method is developed in the context of PID-type sliding mode control technique, and proved to be capable of guaranteeing individual vehicle stability, string stability and traffic flow stability. The effectiveness of the method is verified through comparison simulation studies.

Tangled cubes feature the topology of typical Platonic cubes, with their “faces” traversed by edges in different ways. This study generates an “A‐type” tangled metallocube from the reaction of ...binuclear gold‐NHC complex and H2S. The tangled cube topology was validated by multinuclear nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, high‐resolution electrospray‐ionization (HR‐ESI) mass spectrometry, and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. This study offers a simple and effective approach to designing and fabricating new, topologically unique molecular structures.
A molecular “A‐type” tangled metallocube has been generated by the reaction of a binuclear gold‐N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complex and H2S. The tangled cube topology with 8 (μ3‐S)Au3+ units and 12 bis‐NHC ligands was validated by NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis.

We present an ultraviolet extension of the Twin Higgs in which the radial mode of twin symmetry breaking is itself a pseudo-goldstone boson. This “turtle” structure raises the scale of new ...colored particles in exchange for additional states in the Higgs sector, making multiple Higgs-like scalars the definitive signature of naturalness in this context. We explore the parametrics and phenomenology of a concrete Twin Turtle model and demonstrate its robustness in two different supersymmetric completions. Along the way, we also introduce a new mechanism for inducing hard twin symmetry-breaking quartics via soft supersymmetry breaking.
Thanks to the potential of aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) phenomena, improved stabilities, and the good selectivity and sensitivity of the chemical responses exhibited by the products, ...coordination‐driven self‐assembly with tetraphenylethylene (TPE) units has recently received much attention and has been widely investigated for application in chemical sensors, cell imaging agents, light‐harvesting systems, and others. Several reviews have emerged on the topics of AIE chemistry and aggregation‐induced emission luminogen (AIEgen)‐based supramolecular assembles, however, there is still a distinct lack of full overviews of emission enhancement from the viewpoint of metal‐coordination effects. Thus, this minireview offers recent advances that have been made in the design and application of TPE‐based metallacycles, metallacages, metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and coordination polymers (CPs).
The motions of the tetraphenylethylene (TPE) units are restricted by coordination bonds through coordination‐driven self‐assembly, thereby their non‐radiative decay is reduced to induce fluorescence emission. This minireview offers a summary of recent advances that have been made in the design and synthesis of TPE‐based metallacycles, metallacages, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) and coordination polymers (CPs). Their potential applications as materials for chemical sensors, cell imaging agents and light‐harvesting materials, among others, are outlined.

We consider aspects of tree and one-loop behavior in a generic 4d EFT of massless scalars, fermions, and vectors, with a particular eye to the high-energy limit of the Standard Model EFT at ...operator dimensions 6 and 8. First, we classify the possible Lorentz structures of operators and the subset of these that can arise at tree-level in a weakly coupled UV completion, extending the tree/loop classification through dimension 8 using functional methods. Second, we investigate how operators contribute to tree and one-loop helicity amplitudes, exploring the impact of non-renormalization theorems through dimension 8. We further observe that many dimension 6 contributions to helicity amplitudes, including rational parts, vanish exactly at one-loop level. This suggests the impact of helicity selection rules extends beyond one loop in non-supersymmetric EFTs.
A procedure for the synthesis of three‐dimensional hexakisimidazolium cage compounds has been developed. The reaction of the trigonal trisimidazolium salts H3L(PF6)3, decorated with three N‐olefinic ...pendants, and silver oxide yielded trinuclear trisilver(I) hexacarbene molecular cylinders of the type Ag3L23+ with the olefinic pendants from the two different tricarbene ligands arranged in three pairs. Subsequent UV irradiation gave three cyclobutane links between the two tris‐NHC ligands in three 2+2 cycloaddition reactions, thereby generating a three‐dimensional hexakis‐NHC ligand. Removal of the metal ions resulted in the formation of three‐dimensional hexakisimidazolium cages with a large internal cavity.
All good things come in threes: An efficient template synthesis has been developed for the preparation of three‐dimensional hexakisimidazolium cage compounds starting from trigonal trisimidazolium salts decorated with three N‐olefinic pendants and silver ions as metal templates.
