L’article porte sur la traduction et l’adaptation des œuvres du dramaturge français Victorien Sardou en Chine (1907-1946). Nous abordons d’abord l’évolution de l’image des œuvres de Sardou en Chine, ...de « pièces de renommée mondiale » à « pièces bien faites ». Ensuite, nous nous concentrons sur la traduction et l’adaptation des deux pièces du dramaturge les plus jouées sur la scène chinoise, La Tosca et Patrie !, en étudiant la manière dont le thème « révolution et amour », populaire dans la littérature chinoise moderne, a influencé la réception de Sardou dans le pays. Enfin, nous nous attachons à révéler les relations entre commerce, politique et art dans le développement du théâtre chinois moderne, à travers la réception des œuvres de Sardou en Chine.

Activated carbon prepared from spent coffee grounds and pomelo skin by phosphoric acid activation had been employed as the adsorbent for ethylene and n-butane at room temperature. Prepared activated carbon was characterized by means of nitrogen adsorption–desorption, X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscope and Fourier transform infrared spectroscope. It was confirmed that pore structure played an important role during the adsorption testes. Adsorption isotherms of ethylene and n-butane fitted well with Langmuir equation. The prepared samples owned better adsorption capacity for n-butane than commercial activated carbon. Isosteric heats of adsorptions at different coverage were calculated through Clausius–Clapeyron equation. Micropore filling effect was explained in a thermodynamic way.
A dynamic surface pattern with a topography and fluorescence in response to environmental stimulus can enable information recording, hiding, and reading. Such patterns are therefore widely used in ...information security and anticounterfeiting. Here, we demonstrate a dynamic dual pattern using a supramolecular network comprising a copolymer containing pyridine (P4VP-nBA-S) and hydroxyl distyrylpyridine (DSP-OH) as the skin layer for bilayer wrinkling systems, in which both the wrinkle morphology and fluorescence color can be simultaneously regulated by visible light-triggered isomerization of DSP-OH, or acids. Acid-induced protonation of pyridines can dynamically regulate the cross-linking of the skin layer through hydrogen bonding, and the fluorescence of DSP-OH. On selective irradiation with 450 nm visible light or acid treatment, the resulting hierarchical patterned surface becomes smooth and wrinkled reversibly, and simultaneously its fluorescence changes dynamically from blue to orange-red. The smart surfaces with dynamic hierarchical wrinkles and fluorescence can find potential application in anticounterfeiting.

The depletion of ...tryptophan and the increase in kynurenine exert important immunosuppressive functions by activating T regulatory cells and myeloid-derived suppressor cells, suppressing the functions of effector T and natural killer cells, and promoting neovascularization of solid tumors. Targeting IDO1 represents a therapeutic opportunity in cancer immunotherapy beyond checkpoint blockade or adoptive transfer of chimeric antigen receptor T cells. In this review, we discuss the function of the IDO1 pathway in tumor progression and immune surveillance. We highlight recent preclinical and clinical progress in targeting the IDO1 pathway in cancer therapeutics, including peptide vaccines, expression inhibitors, enzymatic inhibitors, and effector inhibitors.

Urban public green space (PGS) provides a wealth of ecological and social benefits, and is the key for sustainable urban development and human well-being satisfaction. A comprehensive evaluation is an important basis for PGS refined governance and planning. However, few studies have comprehensively explored the fine dimension of PGS quality, accessibility, and population, for the evaluation of accessible PGS and its spatial equity. Therefore, we evaluated the accessible PUS at the community-scale with the consideration of temporal accessibility and PUS quality. We first evaluated the accessible PGS of communities using the two-step floating catchment area (2SFCA) approach based on road network. Secondly, Gini coefficient was employed to examine the spatial equity of community-scale PGS. Finally, we proposed relevant strategies for improving PGS provision. The main findings of this study were: transportation modes did not change the average PGS level but had a spatial “flattening effect” on the accessible PGS. Transportation modes affected PGS equity as they changed the PGS accessibility, and the equity of accessible PGS progressively increases with walking, riding E-bike, and driving. The spatial imbalance of PGS quality exacerbated PGS inequity, not only existing quantity unfair, but also quality unfair. Comprehensive PGS supply improvement strategies were proposed in terms of quantity increase, accessibility improvement, and quality construction. This study is conducive to the implementation of human-scale green space planning, providing a basis for the refined urban management.

A series of R2R3-MYB TFs involved in anthocyanin and proanthocyanidin (PA) biosynthesis have been identified in poplar. In this study, we report the identification and characterization of a subgroup 4 MYB member PtrMYB57, which contains a repressor domain (LxLxL) at the C-terminal end.

showed a reduction in anthocyanin and PA accumulation compared to wild-type plants. By contrast, a high anthocyanin and PA phenotype was observed in

mutants generated by the CRISPR/Cas9 system. Furthermore, transient expression assays revealed that PtrMYB57 interacted with bHLH131 (bHLH) and PtrTTG1 (WDR) to form the MBW complex and bound to the flavonoid gene promoters, leading to inhibition of these promoters. Taken together, our results suggest that PtrMYB57 plays a negative role in the regulation of anthocyanin and PA biosynthesis in poplar.
Although shown to have a great utility for a wide range of neuroscientific and clinical applications, diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI) faces a major challenge of low ...signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), especially when pushing the spatial resolution for improved delineation of brain’s fine structure or increasing the diffusion weighting for increased angular contrast or both. Here, we introduce a comprehensive denoising framework for denoising magnitude dMRI. The framework synergistically combines the variance stabilizing transform (VST) with optimal singular value manipulation. The purpose of VST is to transform the Rician data to Gaussian-like data so that an asymptotically optimal singular value manipulation strategy tailored for Gaussian data can be used. The output of the framework is the estimated underlying diffusion signal for each voxel in the image domain. The usefulness of the proposed framework for denoising magnitude dMRI is demonstrated using both simulation and real-data experiments. Our results show that the proposed denoising framework can significantly improve SNR across the entire brain, leading to substantially enhanced performances for estimating diffusion tensor related indices and for resolving crossing fibers when compared to another competing method. More encouragingly, the proposed method when used to denoise a single average of 7 Tesla Human Connectome Project-style diffusion acquisition provided comparable performances relative to those achievable with ten averages for resolving multiple fiber populations across the brain. As such, the proposed denoising method is expected to have a great utility for high-quality, high-resolution whole-brain dMRI, desirable for many neuroscientific and clinical applications.

Resveratrol, a natural phytoalexin, exhibits a remarkable range of biological activities, such as anticancer, cardioprotective, neuroprotective and antioxidant properties. However, the therapeutic ...application of resveratrol was encumbered for its low bioavailability. Therefore, many researchers focused on designing and synthesizing the derivatives of resveratrol to enhance the bioavailability and the pharmacological activity of resveratrol. During the past decades, a large number of natural and synthetic resveratrol derivatives were extensively studied, and the methoxylated, hydroxylated and halogenated derivatives of resveratrol received particular more attention for their beneficial bioactivity. So, in this review, we will summarize the chemical structure and the therapeutic versatility of resveratrol derivatives, and thus provide the related structure activity relationship reference for their practical applications.

The primary work of formulating land use planning is to pursuit an optimized land use pattern to guide human activities for land utilization effectively. However, due to numerous spatial units and multiple land use types, as well as the spatial heterogeneity and incompatible objectives, land resource spatial optimization (LRSA) becomes a challenging issue. Currently, relevant research focuses on the exploitation of methods to enhance the efficiency of LRSA to meet the interactive demand of plan making. This paper designed a new simulated annealing (SA) algorithm for LRSA and provided an interactive platform to determine the ideal land use pattern in terms of stakeholder preferences on conflicted objectives. First, a general optimization model with three parts, including objectives, constraints and the multi-objective decision making technique, was presented. Second, for SA with crossed combinations of three cooling functions and four types of solution renewal jump steps, 12 SA sub-models were proposed, of which efficiency was compared. Lastly Jiangdu County in China was used as a case study. The following conclusions were reached: our excavation made SA efficiency for LRSA increased by about 35%, and the sub-model with logistic curve as cooling function and jump step was a gradually decreasing parameter was the most effective model; the proposed approach could obtain an ideal solution on any location of the frontier according to stakeholder preferences for conflicted objectives, thereby providing a useful interactive tool to reach an agreeable scheme transparently.
