An analytical technique that can be effectively used for the calculation of the end-winding leakage inductance of a turbogenerator has been presented. It is based on a three-dimensional geometric ...model of the end-winding region in which each coil is modeled as a set of serially connected straight filaments. The calculation of the mutual inductance of the end coils is based on the multiple solutions of the Neumann integral. The method also accounts for the influence of stator core iron on the end-winding leakage inductance by using the method of images. The results of the calculations have been compared with the measured values of the leakage inductance for 247-MVA turbogenerator manufactured by KONCAR Generators and Motors Inc., Zagreb, Croatia. The principle of the end-winding leakage inductance calculation described herein can be effectively used for other types of machines and windings as well.
The designs of salient pole generators may differ considerably from one hydroelectric plant to another. Automatic optimization procedure is highly desirable, because the designer may have little ...experience with a similar machine. The presented approach defines the design space by 12 variables which have the largest influence on the goal function. The design space is constrained by a number of linear and nonlinear constraints. The optimization process is based on successive linearizations of the goal function and the nonlinear constraints followed by a simplex procedure. The process is highly effective because the goal function is heavily constrained, so the optimum is virtually always on the boundary of the feasibility region. The procedure has been tested on a number of earlier designs. The goal function could have been reduced on average by some 8 percent, had this software been available at the time of the design of these machines.

Jugoslavija je ...imala visoke godišnje stope zaposlenosti sve do 1983. godine i to znatno više nego u drugim zemljama Evrope, pa i unatoč tome spada u red zemalja s visokom stopom nezaposlenosti. Glavni uzroci velike nezaposlenosti u SFRJ su u, još uvijek, nedovoljnoj industrijalizaciji, nerazvijenom tercijarnom sektoru privrede i prenapučenosti stanovništva u poljoprivredi. Brže zapošljavanje u uskoj je povezanosti s realizacijom strategije dugoročnog razvoja Jugoslavije, koja uključuje i zapošljavanje.
Pod sociološkim aspektom personalnog managementa podrazumijeva se promatranje ljudi na radu kao ljudskih resursa, a polazi od temelja ljudskog rada kao potrebe ljudi za stvaranjem proizvoda potrebnih ...njihovom opstanku. Taj humani, sociološki aspekt treba prožimati sve kategorije i instrumente personalne politike, a prvenstveno politiku zapošljavanja, uređenja radnih odnosa i uvjeta rada, utvrđivanja troškova rada i plaća, motiviranja i vođenja radnika i obrazovanja radnika. U radu je iznesen sadržaj rada personalnog managementa u hrvatskim uvjetima.
