Physical inactivity is one of the most important problems in our society, especially during adolescence. During this stage of schooling, students practice physical activity in physical education ...classes, but after they finish school, many of them stop practicing it. This research aims to determine which variables predict the intention to practice physical activity after finishing secondary school and to discover the effect that age during adolescence has on these predictive variables. A questionnaire was administered to a sample of secondary school students. The results show that physical exercise identity influences the three antecedents of this theory, while the attitude towards the behaviour (β = 0.13;
< 0.05), perceived behavioural control (β = 0.46;
< 0.05), and physical self-concept (β = 0.41;
< 0.05), have a statistically significant influence on the intention to be physically active. Moreover, when the age is lower, is more important to develop a positive perceived behavioural control and physical exercise identity. Moreover, for younger male adolescents instead of the physical exercise itself, identity seems more important in developing a positive attitude towards behaviour. Likewise, in young female adolescents a low level of support from their close environment (subjective norm) leads to dropping out. The research concludes with the importance of including these variables in physical education classes to promote physical activity practice after completion of secondary school. Some practical implications are presented.
Intrapreneurs are needed in the sport sector due to its competitive nature. However, little attention has been paid to this topic within sport entrepreneurship literature. This paper aims to examine ...the cross-cultural applicability of Ajzen's theory of planned behavior for predicting the intrapreneurial intentions (II) of sport science students from two European countries and to discover if there is a moderating effect of country's culture on the antecedents of II. A questionnaire to collect the data was used. The sample is composed by 736 final year sports sciences students from Spain and Lithuania. The combination of a symmetric (Structural Equations Modelling) and asymmetric (Qualitative Comparative Analysis) approach was used to examine the students' country culture as a potential moderator. Results indicate Ajzens's theory of planned behavior as a suitable framework to predict intrapreneurial intentions (II). Moreover, it is highlighted that the country's culture can have a moderating effect on the university students' II. Educational policy makers should consider the impact of county culture when promoting intrapreneurial behavior. In Spain, it should be developed a positive attitude towards intrapreneurial behavior, while in Lithuania it is more important to foster that they perceive as having the necessary skills to be an intrapreneur.
In the sport entrepreneurship field, bibliometric analysis and maps have not yet been used to analyze the production and to visualize the evolution and trends of this field. However, sport ...entrepreneurship is an emerging field of research where it is necessary to find methodological strategies for understanding the major research trends developing in this specific field. Therefore, the primary aim of this article is to perform a bibliometric analysis of sport entrepreneurship in the Web of Science Core Collection

Sports management is a field of study that has grown significantly. However, little is known about its structure. Therefore, this article presents an unsupervised cluster learning approach based on a ...thematic analysis of abstracts. It applies to a large corpus of sports management documents to gain insight into the structure of the discipline. A total of 3,704 records were downloaded from the Scopus database. Data were processed using the BERTopic approach. The results indicate that sports management is a growing and highly collaborative field of study. The themes (or topics) were diversified (25 clusters). Due to their proximity, seven meta topics were also identified. While the interest in major sports events and the social impact of sports tourism has lessened in recent years, other fields of study, such as entrepreneurship, innovation and sports club management, have captured the interest of researchers.

In the sports sector, entrepreneurship, innovation, and social corporative responsible are generating growing interest during the last years. Due to that situation, sustainable entrepreneurship and ...innovation in sport have emerged in this sector, receiving individual attention from academics and practitioners. However, little is known about the evolution of this new field of research. Thus, the main aim of this paper is to analyze the documents published in the Web of Science about sport sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation. The bibliometric analysis allows us to discover the current state of a research field, identify the principal authors, articles, and topics, and propose future research lines to develop it further. The articles published between 2000 and 2019 were analyzed quantitatively, and by word and author co-occurrence. Later, through the bibliographic coupling, the articles were grouped in different clusters. Seven central thematics were found, being the sports mega-events and the sustainability the most development sub-area or research, followed by the sport innovation for fostering inclusion. Moreover, for the development of this field of research, studies focused on “tourism” and “entrepreneurship” with “environment”, “sport”, “sustainability and knowledge” and “innovation” focus, are necessary. Thus, sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation in sport are an undeveloped but promising field for the future of the sports industry.
The teaching and learning styles are a fundamental aspect to guarantee the correct learning of the students. Therefore, theobjectives of this study are to understand the teaching-learning styles of ...the three educational agents (students, teachers and familymembers), and to analyse which factors influence the scores of the different teaching-learning styles of these three educational agents. Tothis end, the sample is composed of a total of 198 secondary school students from a high school in Castellon, 23 teachers who taughtthese students, and 104 parents of these students. The data were collected in all cases through questionnaires. The students preferred atheoretical style, and there were significant differences between the preference of styles according to gender, taste for Physical Education,and grades in this subject (p<.05). Younger teachers opt for an active teaching style, while older ones tend to use a more structured style,not influencing their work experience (p>.05). 49% of family members prefer a more reflexive style in the educational centers, finding arelationship between the tendency towards innovation and what they consider important in the classroom, with the different styles(p<.05). Therefore, the results point out the discordance in the teaching-learning process between the different educational agents.Therefore, the educational centers should know their own reality. All this, with the aim of improving the process of knowledgeacquisition and, consequently, the academic performance of the students
Technology has been gradually introduced into our society, and the field of education is no exception due to technology’s ability to improve the teaching–learning process. Furthermore, within the ...area of physical education (PE), its importance has been highlighted by the existence of specific apps for physical activity that can be used inside and outside the classroom to assess physical condition, as well as through the potential that virtual and augmented reality can have in such assessment. Therefore, the main objectives for this study were (1) to perform a bibliometric analysis of the articles published in the Web of Science (WoS) on technology in PE and (2) to analyze the articles published on augmented or virtual reality in PE found through this search. The results show that although studies on technology in PE (461 articles) have begun to consolidate over the last five years (there was a turning point in 2015), with the USA being the most influential country in this area, specific research on the use of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) is still at a very early stage (22 articles with a small growth in 2017), with Spain being the most influential country; much more research is needed to achieve its consolidation.
One of the main goals of Physical Education (PE) is to ensure that children and adolescents acquire physical and sporting habits. The variable interest and, consequently, the enjoyment for PE is ...related to this objective and, therefore, it is a tool that is of vital interest for teachers of this subject. Therefore, the aims of this study are: (1) to find out students' perceptions of the subject of PE, and (2) to analyse if there are relationships between the enjoyment for PE and different sociodemographic variables related to the perceptions about PE and the students own sporting habits, as well as in their near environment. For this purpose, a questionnaire consisting of different items previously validated in other studies was used. The sample was made by a group of students from the four years of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) in a rural school from Valencia, with a mean age of 13.78 (SD = 1.26) years. The results show that, in general, students have good perceptions of PE, giving this subject considerable importance. In addition, statistically significant relationships were found between the students' enjoyment of PE and their parents' physical-sports practice, the importance given by the students to the subject in the culture of the country, the teacher’s behaviour, and their own perceptions to the PE lessons. Therefore, these results may be of interest for PE teachers in order to increase students' interest in these classes and improving their adherence to physical-sports practice.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the educational sector, pushing it towards teaching–learning methodologies where the online aspect takes on special importance. In this sense, social media are ...tools that facilitate the creation of meaningful and sustainable learning environments. This study shares an educational experience where TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Talks are introduced as a pedagogical resource through YouTube and LinkedIn in a sport management course. A total of five TED Talks are viewed and discussed by the students in order to develop their professional profile, assisted by a set of initial questions posed by faculty. To assess the impact of the experience, a new scale is created and then validated. The analyses performed reflected the unidimensional nature of this scale, explaining the 64.36% of the variance, and presenting good psychometric properties (α = 0.95). Furthermore, the results obtained reflect the educational potential of TED Talks in the context of sport management, with increases in the averages of all the items from the scale, with significant (p < 0.05) increases in six of them. Both the new validated instrument and the shared pedagogical proposal can be valuable to guide and evaluate future educational experiences which introduce TED Talks as a pedagogical resource in sport management education.
