Knowledge management (KM) is a field of research that has gained wide acceptance in the scientific community and management literature. This article presents a bibliometric overview of the academic ...research on KM in the business and management areas. Various bibliometric methods are used to perform this overview, including performance analysis and science mapping of the KM field. The performance analysis uses a series of bibliometric indicators, such as the h-index, productivity and citations. In addition, the VOSviewer software is used to map the bibliographic material. Science mapping uses co-citations and the concurrency of keywords. References were obtained from the Web of Science database. We identified and classified the most relevant research in the field according to journals, articles, authors, institutions and countries. The results show that research in this field has increased significantly in the last ten years and that the USA is the most influential country in all aspects in this field. It is important to consider, however, that science continues to advance in this and in all fields and that data rapidly change over time. Therefore, this paper fulfills an informational role that shows that most of the fundamental research of KM is in business and management areas.

The aim of this study is to review the ...main contributions in this field by using a bibliometric approach. For doing so, the article uses a wide range of bibliometric indicators including the citations and the h-index. Moreover, it also uses the VOS viewer software in order to map the main trends in this area. The work considers the leading journals, articles, authors and institutions. The results indicate that the USA was the traditional leader in this field with the most significant researcher. However, during the last years, this field is receiving more attention by Asian authors that are starting to lead the field. This discipline has a strong potential and the expectations for the future is that it will continue to grow.

In this paper, we develop a new and flexible method for Pythagorean fuzzy decision‐making using some trigonometric similarity measures. We first introduce two new generalized similarity measures ...between Pythagorean fuzzy sets based on cosine and cotangent functions and prove their validity. These similarity measures include some well‐known Pythagorean fuzzy similarity measures as their particular and limiting cases. The measures are demonstrated to satisfy some very elegant properties which prepare the ground for applications in different areas. Further, the work defines a generalized hybrid trigonometric Pythagorean fuzzy similarity measure and discuss its properties with particular cases. Then, based on the generalized hybrid trigonometric Pythagorean fuzzy similarity measure, a method for dealing with multiple attribute decision‐making problems under Pythagorean fuzzy environment is developed. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the flexibility and effectiveness of the developed approach in solving real‐life problems.
The entrepreneurship literature pays increasing attention to the ethical aspects of the field. However, only a fragmented understanding is known about how the context influences the ethical judgment ...of entrepreneurs. We argue that individual socio-cultural background, organizational and societal context shape entrepreneurial ethical judgment. In our article, we contribute to contemporary literature by carving out the intersections between Ethics and Entrepreneurship. We do this by employing a two-step research approach: 1) We use bibliometric techniques to analyze 719 contributions in Business and Economics research and present a comprehensive contextual picture of ethics in entrepreneurship research by a analyzing the 30 most relevant foundation articles. 2) A subsequent content analysis of the 50 most relevant academic contributions was carried with an enlarged database out to augment these findings, detailing ethics and entrepreneurship research on an individual, organizational and societal level of analyses. By comparing the two analyses, this paper concludes by outlining possible avenues for future research.
•Information Sciences becomes fifty years old.•A bibliometric overview of the journal between 1968 and 2016.•Identification of the leading topics, authors, universities and countries.•A graphical ...visualization by using VOS viewer software.
Information Sciences is a leading international journal in computer science launched in 1968, so becoming fifty years old in 2018. In order to celebrate its anniversary, this study presents a bibliometric overview of the leading publication and citation trends occurring in the journal. The aim of the work is to identify the most relevant authors, institutions, countries, and analyze their evolution through time. The paper uses the Web of Science Core Collection in order to search for the bibliographic information. Our study also develops a graphical mapping of the bibliometric material by using the visualization of similarities (VOS) viewer. With this software, the work analyzes bibliographic coupling, citation and co-citation analysis, co-authorship, and co-occurrence of keywords. The results underline the significant growth of the journal through time and its international diversity having publications from countries all over the world.
► A new distance measure by using the induced OWA operator. ► The induced Choquet integral with distance measures. ► A new multi-person decision-making method. ► The multi-person IOWAD operator.
In ...this paper, we present a new decision-making approach that uses distance measures and induced aggregation operators. We introduce the induced ordered weighted averaging distance (IOWAD) operator. IOWAD is a new aggregation operator that extends the OWA operator by using distance measures and a reordering of arguments that depends on order-inducing variables. The main advantage of IOWAD is that it provides a parameterized family of distance aggregation operators between the maximum and the minimum distance based on a complex reordering process that reflects the complex attitudinal character of the decision-maker. We studied some of IOWAD’s main properties and different particular cases and further generalized IOWAD by using Choquet integrals. We developed an application in a multi-person decision-making problem regarding the selection of investments. We found that the main advantage of this approach is that it is able to provide a more complete picture of the decision-making process, enabling the decision-maker to select the alternative that it is more in accordance with his interests.
•This bibliometric study identifies leading authors, universities, and countries publishing in TF&SC.•Results suggest that authors and publications originating in the USA and the Netherlands are ...particularly influential.•While the number of authors is increasing, these authors are drawn from a smaller number of institution and countries.•However, the journal is becoming more geographically diverse.•Mapping of co-citations and bibliographic coupling suggests several heterogeneous clusters published in TF&SC.
Technological Forecasting and Social Change (TF&SC) is a leading international journal that publishes major advances related to technological forecasting and future studies. The journal was launched in 1969 and in 2019 celebrated its 50th anniversary. To celebrate 50 years of outstanding contributions, this study presents a bibliometric analysis of TF&SC publications and patterns of citations within TF&SC in terms of authors, institutions and countries. The analysis relies on the Web of Science Core Collection database for bibliographic content and Visualization of Similarities viewer software for mapping of bibliometric data. Our analysis identifies leading authors, universities and countries that produce publications in TF&SC. This study also applies bibliometric analysis of co-citations and bibliographic coupling. Results suggest that authors and publications originating in the USA and the Netherlands are particularly influential. However, the journal is becoming more geographically diverse. Mapping of co-citations and bibliographic coupling suggests that work published in TF&SC is represented by several heterogeneous clusters.
We developed a new decision-making model with probabilistic information and used the concept of the immediate probability to aggregate the information. This type of probability modifies the objective ...probability by introducing the attitudinal character of the decision maker. In doing so, we use the ordered weighting average (OWA) operator. When using this model, it is assumed that the information is given by exact numbers. However, this may not be the real situation found within the decision-making problem. Sometimes, the information is vague or imprecise and it is necessary to use another approach to assess the information, such as the use of fuzzy numbers. Then, the decision-making problem can be represented more completely because we now consider the best and worst possible scenarios, along with the possibility that some intermediate event (an internal value) will occur. We will use the fuzzy ordered weighted averaging (FOWA) operator to aggregate the information with the probabilities. As a result, we will get the Immediate Probability-FOWA (IP-FOWA) operator. We will study some of its main properties. We will apply the new approach in a decision-making problem about selection of strategies.
