In 2016, a mediation proposal was developed with older people in MediaLab Prado, whose objectives were to cover certain deficiencies within the use of ICT and digital literacy for everyday life. As a ...methodological proposal within the project, the use of classical games (cards, riddles, etc.) to generate a metacognitive learning process in an intergenerational context. Analyzing the results obtained, we observe the improvement that this gamified pedagogical approach supposes within the mediation proposal and its effectiveness as a project pedagogical strategy to generate new guides and alternative means for the use of the arts with transversal purposes. Likewise, the results of the project justify the use of cultural contexts and the use of culture and the arts as a fundamentally ethical and socializing entity.
En 2016 se desarrolla en MediaLab Prado una propuesta de mediación con gente mayor que tiene como objetivo sufragar ciertas carencias dentro del uso de la TIC y de la alfabetización digital para la vida cotidiana Como propuesta metodológica dentro del proyecto se sostiene el uso de los juegos clásicos (cartas, adivinanzas, etc.) para generar un proceso de aprendizaje metacognitivo en un contexto intergeneracional. Analizando los resultados obtenidos, observamos la mejora que supone dentro de la propuesta de mediación este enfoque pedagógico gamificado y la efectividad del mismo como estrategia pedagógica proyectual que sirve para generar nuevos canales y medios alternativos al uso de las artes con fines transversales. Asimismo, los resultados del proyecto corroboran el uso de los contextos culturales y del uso de la cultura y las artes como ente fundamentalmente ético y socializador.

Los cambios en la sociedad y la necesidad particular de la alfabetización digital en personas mayores requiere nuevas vías para el aprendizaje que estén adaptadas a sus habilidades. El presente ...artículo analiza la metodología pedagógica desarrollada en el proyecto SIG en el MediaLab Prado -basada en la gamificación de los procesos didácticos ligados intrínsecamente a los estilos de aprendizaje- que se fundamentan en el uso del modelo de actividades por proyectos -polifásicas- que a su vez tienen como base contextual y estructural los juegos-conocidos (de niñez) por las personas mayores; el juego adquirido en pro de entender el funcionamiento de los nuevos procesos digitales que se centran en asimilar/entender un lenguaje y que se apoyan por ende, en su semántica -la sintaxis y la pragmática-, gramática y posterior narrativa. Un modelo de aprendizaje que permite alcanzar como objetivo final el obtener una alfabetización-gamificada sin necesidad del uso directo de las nuevas tecnologías -TIC- como soporte educativo.
Since the number of drugs based on natural products (NPs) represents a large source of novel pharmacological entities, NPs have acquired significance in drug discovery. Peru is considered a ...megadiverse country with many endemic species of plants, terrestrial, and marine animals, and microorganisms. NPs databases have a major impact on drug discovery development. For this reason, several countries such as Mexico, Brazil, India, and China have initiatives to assemble and maintain NPs databases that are representative of their diversity and ethnopharmacological usage. We describe the assembly, curation, and chemoinformatic evaluation of the content and coverage in chemical space, as well as the physicochemical attributes and chemical diversity of the initial version of the Peruvian Natural Products Database (PeruNPDB), which contains 280 natural products. Access to PeruNPDB is available for free ( https://perunpdb.com.pe/ ). The PeruNPDB's collection is intended to be used in a variety of tasks, such as virtual screening campaigns against various disease targets or biological endpoints. This emphasizes the significance of biodiversity protection both directly and indirectly on human health.
In this paper, we present a heterogeneous parallel solver of a high frequency single level Fast Multipole Method (FMM) for the Helmholtz equation applied to acoustic scattering. The developed ...solution uses multiple GPUs to tackle the compute bound steps of the FMM (aggregation, disaggregation, and near interactions) while the CPU handles a memory bound step (translation) using OpenMP. The proposed solver performance is measured on a workstation with two GPUs (NVIDIA GTX 480) and is compared with that of a distributed memory solver run on a cluster of 32 nodes (HP BL465c) with an Infiniband network. Some energy efficiency results are also presented in this work.
► We present a heterogeneous acoustic scattering solver based on single level FMM. ► The performance is proved using a PC with 1 Intel i7 930 and 2 NVIDIA GTX 480. ► The runtime is reduced 13x when comparing our solver with the pure CPU one. ► The power consumption is reduced 6x when comparing our solver with the pure CPU one. ► The performance of the solver is comparable to that of a HPC cluster with 160 cores.
