A laboratory for searching for oscillations of reactor antineutrinos has been created based on the SM-3 reactor in order to approach the problem of the possible existence of a sterile neutrino. The ...multisection detector prototype with a liquid scintillator volume of 350 L was installed in mid-2015. This detector can move inside the passive shield in a range of 6–11 m from the active core of the reactor. The antineutrino flux was measured for the first time at these short distances from the active core of the reactor by the movable detector. The measurements with the multisection detector prototype demonstrated that it is possible to measure the antineutrino flux from the reactor in the complicated conditions of cosmic background on the Earth’s surface.
An experimental search for sterile neutrinos has been carried out at a neutrino facility based on the SM-3 nuclear reactor in Dimitrovgrad, Russia. Effect of tensile and compressive stresses on the radiation swelling, microstructure, and creep strain in austenitic steel Kh18N10T is considered. The gas-filled samples of a complex shape prepared ...from steel Kh18N10T were irradiated in a BOR-60 reactor for 2 years to a damaging dose of 15 dpa at a temperature of 420–450°C. In the shells of the irradiated samples, compressive and tensile stresses were created. Samples were also irradiated, in which these stresses practically were absent.
The present paper was devoted to investigation of the stress effect on swelling and microstructure evolution of the Fe–15.8Cr–15.3Ni–2.8Mo–0.6Nb steel irradiated in the BOR-60 reactor at temperatures ...from 395 to 410 °C and damage doses from 79 to 98 dpa. Was found out that the stress increase leads to an increase of swelling, that can be associated with a decrease in incubation period with a practically constant swelling rate. Voids concentration increases at the first stage of irradiation when the void sizes are practically constant, and then the concentration reaches some saturation and swelling increase is caused by void growth.

counts/s. Patient irradiation effective dose from lung radiography is 7μSv. Since 1997, the radiographic device based on MWPC went into mass production and 60 devices were in operation in Russian hospitals to the end of 1999. However, progress in design of the low noise electronics allowed to use the Multistrip Ionisation Chamber (MIC) instead of MWPC. The MIC parameters: efficiency close to 80%, width of channel – 0.4
mm, total number of channels – 1024. Application of MIC has some advantages over MWPC. MIC has higher counting rate, higher spatial resolution, low sensitivity to gas impurity and lower cost. The electronics noise is equivalent to signal from 4 photons.
