Forklifts are indispensable vehicles in warehouse logistics work. Large forklifts have a common configuration that uses a combustion engine to create energy to drive the machine's hydraulic system. ...Due to the characteristics of diesel engines, a large amount of energy is wasted and harmful gases are emitted every day. Especially with millions of older-generation forklifts and construction machines being used in developing countries, the above problem is even more serious while immediately replacing them with new generation machines is impossible. To solve this, the solution is to design and manufacture an additional device cluster to save fuel and reduce emissions. It is both economically and environmentally viable with the right technology. This article proposes the structure and working principle of an additional hydraulic device cluster to increase the working efficiency of the above types of forklifts. Based on building a mathematical model of the mechanical-hydraulic system during the lowering and lifting processes when applying the solution, the main parameters of the process were surveyed. The solution applied on a 3.5 tons forklift shows that the renewable energy percentage in one lowering and lifting cycle is 65.5%. The amount of diesel saved in a year is 2057 liters, corresponding to the one of CO2, CH4 and N2O emissions removed by 5.55 tons, 223 grams and 326 grams, respectively. The proposed device cluster installation is easy with older-generation forklifts and can also be applied in the production of new forklifts.
Anti-vibration control of turntable ladders is effective by controlling the steel ropes inserted in the hollow handrails. Previous studies that considered idealized conditions, such as ignoring ...friction, piston mass, and hydraulic oil compressibility, can not be strongly generalized. This study addresses these problems by describing in detail the equipment serving the anti-vibration solution, building a mathematical model for the steel rope hydraulic control system considering the above factors, and controlling the rapid extinguishing of vibrations on a model simulated in Matlab-Simulink. Furthermore, the simulation of the relationship between the control signal and oil flow through the proportional distribution valve produced a signal flow curve that was asymptotic to the actual. The results showed a difference compared to previous studies. Although the solution was only implemented on the lowest ladder section with the most unfavorable conditions, the time for vibration on the top ladder reached amplitudes of 3 and 5mm in 3 and 5s for empty and full baskets, respectively.

An emerging paradigm in wound healing techniques is that a tissue-engineered skin substitute offers an alternative approach to create functional skin tissue. Here we developed a fish ...collagen/alginate (FCA) sponge scaffold that was functionalized by different molecular weights of chitooligosaccharides (COSs) with the use of 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide hydrochloride as a cross-linking agent. The effects of cross-linking were analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The results indicate that the homogeneous materials blending and cross-linking intensity were dependent on the molecular weights of COSs. The highly interconnected porous architecture with 160–260μm pore size and over 90% porosity and COS's MW driven swelling and retention capacity, tensile property and in vitro biodegradation behavior guaranteed the FCA/COS scaffolds for skin tissue engineering application. Further improvement of these properties enhanced the cytocompatibility of all the scaffolds, especially the scaffolds containing COSs with MW in the range of 1–3kDa (FCA/COS1) showed the best cytocompatibility. These physicochemical, mechanical, and biological properties suggest that the FCA/COS1 scaffold is a superior candidate that can be used for skin tissue regeneration.
Predicting beneficial and valuable miRNA-disease associations (MDAs) by doing biological laboratory experiments is costly and time-consuming. Proposing a forceful and meaningful computational method ...for predicting MDAs is essential and captivated many computer scientists in recent years. In this paper, we proposed a new computational method to predict miRNA-disease associations using improved random walk with restart and integrating multiple similarities (RWRMMDA). We used a WKNKN algorithm as a pre-processing step to solve the problem of sparsity and incompletion of data to reduce the negative impact of a large number of missing associations. Two heterogeneous networks in disease and miRNA spaces were built by integrating multiple similarity networks, respectively, and different walk probabilities could be designated to each linked neighbor node of the disease or miRNA node in line with its degree in respective networks. Finally, an improve extended random walk with restart algorithm based on miRNA similarity-based and disease similarity-based heterogeneous networks was used to calculate miRNA-disease association prediction probabilities. The experiments showed that our proposed method achieved a momentous performance with Global LOOCV AUC (Area Under Roc Curve) and AUPR (Area Under Precision-Recall Curve) values of 0.9882 and 0.9066, respectively. And the best AUC and AUPR values under fivefold cross-validation of 0.9855 and 0.8642 which are proven by statistical tests, respectively. In comparison with other previous related methods, it outperformed than NTSHMDA, PMFMDA, IMCMDA and MCLPMDA methods in both AUC and AUPR values. In case studies of Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma Hepatocellular and Stomach Neoplasms diseases, it inferred 1, 12 and 7 new associations out of top 40 predicted associated miRNAs for each disease, respectively. All of these new inferred associations have been confirmed in different databases or literatures.
This paper expresses a novel adaptive fault-tolerant control (FTC) method for a robotic manipulator with dead zones and actuator faults in the task space. To specify, the actuator faults are the ...partial loss of effectiveness of actuators. The partial loss of effectiveness and the break-points of dead zone are estimated by the novel adaptive laws. Establishing an anti-singularity terminal sliding surface ensures the finite time convergence of the tracking errors to zero. The correctness of this method is proved by the Lyapunov criterion. Despite the fact that the proposed adaptive FTC method belongs to the passive group, it does not require any robust component which makes large-magnitude chattering phenomena to deal with the actuator faults. Instead, they are handled by a unique technique. The comparative simulation results illustrate the merit and efficiency of the proposed method.
Summary
This paper presents a charge‐based integrate‐and‐fire (IF) circuit for in‐memory binary spiking neural networks (BSNNs). The proposed IF circuit can mimic both addition and subtraction ...operations that permit better incorporation with in‐memory XNOR‐based synapses to implement the BSNN processing core. To evaluate the proposed design, we have developed a framework that incorporates the circuit's imperfections effects into the system‐level simulation. The array circuits use 2T‐2J Spin‐Transfer‐Torque Magnetoresistive RAM (STT‐MRAM) based on a 65‐nm commercial CMOS and a fitted magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ). The system model has been described in Pytorch to best fit the extracted parameters from circuit levels, including the cover of device nonidealities and process variations. The simulation results show that the proposed design can achieve a performance of 5.10 fJ/synapse and reaches 82.01% classification accuracy for CIFAR‐10 under process variation.

Differential evolution (DE) is one of the best evolutionary algorithms (EAs). In recent decades, many techniques have been developed to enhance the performance of this algorithm, such as the Improve ...Self-Adaptive Differential Evolution (ISADE) algorithm. Based on the analysis of the aspects that may improve the performance of ISADE, we proposed a modified ISADE version with applying the Gauss distribution for mutation procedure. In ISADE, to determine the scaling factor (F), the population is ranked, then, based on the rank number, population size, and current generation, the formula of the Sigmoid function is used. In the proposed algorithm, F is amplified by a factor which is generated based on Gaussian distribution. It has the potential to enhance the variety of population. In comparison with several reference algorithms regarding converging speed and the consistency of optimal solutions, the simulation results reveal the performance of the suggested algorithm is exceptional.
