This dictionary provides comprehensive information on the vocabulary used in the Slovenian literary language during the period of the Reformation. It was written based on complete concordance from ...all editions of Slovenian texts from the period 1550-1603. The word entries are accompanied by grammatical information, such as the part of speech used and other grammatical data. The extent of their use is shown by the attributed sources. The features of the linguistic system of that period are also shown by numerous notices regarding written, phonological and morphological variations.
When Lactococcus lactis was grown in various complex or synthetic media, the fermentation of glucose remained homolactic whatever the medium used, with a global carbon balance of about 87%. Moreover, ...the nitrogen balance was not equilibrated, indicating that some amino acids led to the production of unknown nitrogen-containing carbon compounds while part of the glucose might contribute to anabolic pathways. In minimal medium containing six amino acids, a high concentration of serine was deaminated to pyruvate. This did not occur in more complete media, suggesting the presence of a regulation of this phenomenon by an amino acid. Ammonia produced during serine consumption was partly reconsumed after serine exhaustion. The values for biomass yield and biomass yield relative to ATP (Y(ATP)), the maximal growth rate, the specific rate of glucose consumption, and the corresponding rate of ATP synthesis all increased with the complexity of the medium, amino acid composition having the most pronounced effect. This article presents the results of a collaborative thought organized to build a research project on innovative forage systems achieving the new challenges that dairy farming will have to face, and ...which gathered researchers of INRA, a representative of the Scientific Interst Group "GIS Elevages Demain", as well as professionals and association representatives. The new forage systems were built in the frame of mixed crop-livestock farming and they will aim to make the best use of abiotic factors and of climate change, while saving water and energy resources and preserving or enhancing soil fertility. These so-called "bioclimatic systems" will have the additional main objectives to have limitied adverse effects on environment and to contribute to attenuate climate change, while assuring the welfare of farmers and animals, and expectations of society. The bioclimatic forage systems will be prototyped to fit for the climate change that will occur in the medium term on the leading dairy regions of France. It will be implemented in a pluriannual experiment at the farm scale in Poitou-Charentes area, assuming its current climatic conditions foreshadow the future climate of these leading dairy regions. The whole mixed corp-dairy system will be redesigned by relying on agroecological approaches based on the diversification of forage resources using efficiently rainfall water and nutrients. Key elements on the management over time of this diversity and of the three-dimensional space (herb, shub and tree layers) to enhance the resilience of the system will also be developed. The animal requirements will be optimized at the farm level, in order to save as much as possible thses two resources. Afin de répondre aux nouveaux défis auxquels l’élevage laitier doit faire face, un groupe de réflexion comportant des chercheurs INRA, un représentant du GIS Elevages Demain ainsi que des partenaires du monde professionnel et associatif, a co-construit un projet de recherche sur des systèmes fourragers innovants dans un cadre de polyculture-élevage. Ce groupe a préconisé de concevoir de nouveaux systèmes tirant le meilleur parti des facteurs abiotiques et biotiques du milieu et des effets du changement climatique, tout en économisant les ressources en voie de raréfaction (énergie fossile, eau) et en maintenant ou en améliorant la fertilité du sol. Ces nouveaux systèmes fourragers, qualifiés de « bioclimatiques », ont également pour objectifs de préserver les différents compartiments de l’environnement et de contribuer à atténuer le réchauffement climatique, tout en assurant la satisfaction des besoins des troupeaux et les attentes des éleveurs et de la société civile. Le groupe a également réfléchi à la construction d’un tel système sur l’unité expérimentale Fourrages et Environnement de l’INRA de Lusignan (UEFE) en Poitou-Charentes. Pour cette unité, l’objectif général sera de concevoir, mettre en œuvre et évaluer un système bioclimatique adapté aux conditions climatiques futures du Grand Ouest. En effet, les conditions climatiques actuelles de Lusignan préfigurent celles qui prévaudront vraisemblablement dans une vingtaine d’années dans le Grand Ouest, principal bassin laitier français. Le système, associant cultures et élevage, sera conçu en utilisant une approche agro-écologique basée notamment sur une diversification des fourrages en termes d’espèces et d’associations, de périodes de production et de modes d’exploitation afin de favoriser la résilience du système. Des espèces ligneuses seront introduites pour sécuriser l’approvisionnement fourrager en période de stress hydrique, limiter le stress thermique des animaux et des couverts végétaux, valoriser l’eau présente dans les couches profondes du sol, et pour stocker du carbone. Le système sera également conçu en maximisant le pâturage, en élargissant l’utilisation des légumineuses, et en recyclant l’eau et les nutriments. L’agencement dans le temps et dans l’espace de cette diversité et des strates herbacées, arbustives et arborées sera organisé de manière à sécuriser l’approvisionnement en fourrages et à constituer une ration équilibrée pour les ruminants. L’ajustement des besoins des animaux grâce aux périodes de vêlage, ou grâce à un type génétique animal voire à une race mieux adaptée sera également étudié. Enfin, la gestion de l’eau et de l’énergie sera optimisée à l’échelle de l’exploitation, afin d’économiser ou de recycler au maximum ces deux ressources. Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a genetic disorder caused by a single point mutation (β6 Glu → Val) on the β-chain of adult hemoglobin (HbA) that results in sickled hemoglobin (HbS). In the deoxygenated ...state, polymerization of HbS leads to sickling of red blood cells (RBC). Several downstream consequences of polymerization and RBC sickling include vaso-occlusion, hemolytic anemia, and stroke. Two basic processes contribute to dispersal of soils pesticide : scattering, which is ensured by different modes of transfer, and degradation, which requires chemical or biochemical reactions that ...use soil micro-organisms. Last, pesticide or its alteration products can interact with soil constituents.
Deux processus fondamentaux contribuent à la dissipation d'un pesticide appliqué au sol. La dispersion, qui entraîne le produit et éventuellement ses dérivés hors du point d'application ou du volume de sol dans lequel il est recherché et la dégradation, qui assure la transformation de la molécule initiale d'une manière plus ou moins prononcée et pouvant aller jusqu'à sa minéralisation. La dispersion est assurée par différents modes de transfert (volatilisation, lixiviation-lessivage, entraînement par ruissellement, absorption par la plante), tandis que la dégradation fait intervenir des réactions chimiques ou biochimiques (photolyse, hydrolyse, ...) impliquant l'intervention des micro-organismes du sol. Enfin, le pesticide ou ses produits de transformation peuvent interagir avec les constituants du sol pour former des résidus "non extractibles". Ceux-ci sont alors soustraits au dosage par voie physico- chimique.
Abstract
Objective
The characteristics of clinician activities while interacting with electronic health record (EHR) systems can influence the time spent in EHRs and workload. This study aims to ...characterize EHR activities as tasks and define novel, data-driven metrics.
Materials and Methods
We leveraged unsupervised learning approaches to learn tasks from sequences of events in EHR audit logs. We developed metrics characterizing the prevalence of unique events and event repetition and applied them to categorize tasks into 4 complexity profiles. Between these profiles, Mann-Whitney U tests were applied to measure the differences in performance time, event type, and clinician prevalence, or the number of unique clinicians who were observed performing these tasks. In addition, we apply process mining frameworks paired with clinical annotations to support the validity of a sample of our identified tasks. We apply our approaches to learn tasks performed by nurses in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center neonatal intensive care unit.
Results
We examined EHR audit logs generated by 33 neonatal intensive care unit nurses resulting in 57 234 sessions and 81 tasks. Our results indicated significant differences in performance time for each observed task complexity profile. There were no significant differences in clinician prevalence or in the frequency of viewing and modifying event types between tasks of different complexities. We presented a sample of expert-reviewed, annotated task workflows supporting the interpretation of their clinical meaningfulness.
Conclusions
The use of the audit log provides an opportunity to assist hospitals in further investigating clinician activities to optimize EHR workflows.
