This study aims to analyze the needs of Class XII students of MA Raudlatul Ulum for the recitation program as an interactive learning media on magnetic field material. This research’s method is ...descriptive. The research subjects are class XII students of MA Raudlatul Ulum who have taken magnetic field subject. The data collection techniques are interview with 1 teacher who teaches magnetic field subject and questionnaires for 30 students. Based on the data obtained, we identified several problems that occur in the magnetic field material, including (1) the lack of time allocation in the learning process despite the magnetic field material being a broad and complex material, (2) the lack of feedback in learning, (3) less interactive and boring learning media used, (4) lack of practice questions. Referring to these problems, it is necessary to develop a recitation program as an interactive learning media on magnetic field material. This program contains practice questions accompanied by feedback on each correct or incorrect answer.
Amidst the pandemic, Indonesia witnessed an economic downturn characterized by widespread layoffs, leading to an escalation in the unemployment rate and a decline in individual purchasing power. This ...crisis also bore down on the market share of Islamic banks. According to the 2021 survey conducted by the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB), the primary hurdles faced by Islamic banks during the pandemic were rooted in legacy infrastructure and technology. Loyalty, trust, and customer satisfaction are intricately linked to the quality of services provided, beginning with the customer's comprehension of Islamic banking. This study delves into the impact of knowledge on customer loyalty, with satisfaction and trust acting as mediating factors among Islamic bank customers in the context of the COVID-19 outbreak. Employing a quantitative approach, the study gathered data from 105 respondents based on the Isaac-Michael formula endorsed by the Islamic Economist Association in Yogyakarta in 2021, administered through questionnaires. The data was then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The findings of this study underscore that knowledge significantly influences customer satisfaction, trust, and ultimately, loyalty. Additionally, satisfaction demonstrates a notable positive effect on loyalty. However, trust, in isolation, does not exert a direct influence on loyalty. Moreover, it was observed that knowledge directly impacts loyalty, and this effect is mediated by satisfaction, while trust does not serve as a mediator between knowledge and loyalty. In light of these findings, this study advocates for initiatives within Islamic banks to enhance financial literacy, provide accurate information, and foster understanding, countering any negative narratives that may erode public trust and perceptions. Furthermore, there is a pressing need to bolster digital services to ensure the continued loyalty of Islamic bank customers.
To instill greater confidence in computations outsourced to the cloud, clients should be able to verify the correctness of the results returned. To this end, we introduce Pinocchio, a built system ...for efficiently verifying general computations while relying only on cryptographic assumptions. With Pinocchio, the client creates a public evaluation key to describe her computation; this setup is proportional to evaluating the computation once. The worker then evaluates the computation on a particular input and uses the evaluation key to produce a proof of correctness. The proof is only 288 bytes, regardless of the computation performed or the size of the inputs and outputs. Anyone can use a public verification key to check the proof. Crucially, our evaluation on seven applications demonstrates that Pinocchio is efficient in practice too. Pinocchio's verification time is typically 10ms: 5-7 orders of magnitude less than previous work; indeed Pinocchio is the first general-purpose system to demonstrate verification cheaper than native execution (for some apps). Pinocchio also reduces the worker's proof effort by an additional 19-60x. As an additional feature, Pinocchio generalizes to zero-knowledge proofs at a negligible cost over the base protocol. Finally, to aid development, Pinocchio provides an end-to-end toolchain that compiles a subset of C into programs that implement the verifiable computation protocol.
We address the numerical solution to multimarginal optimal transport (MMOT) with pairwise costs. MMOT, as a natural extension from the classical two-marginal optimal transport, has many important ...applications including image processing, density functional theory and machine learning, but lacks efficient and exact numerical methods. The popular entropy-regularized method may suffer numerical instability and blurring issues. Inspired by the back-and-forth method introduced by Jacobs and Léger, we investigate MMOT problems with pairwise costs. We show that such problems have a graphical representation and leverage this structure to develop a new computationally gradient ascent algorithm to solve the dual formulation of such MMOT problems. Our method produces accurate solutions which can be used for the regularization-free applications, including the computation of Wasserstein barycenters with high resolution imagery.
This study explores the role of teaching material products and job sheets in the implementation of project-based learning at SMK Mikael Surakarta. This type of research is qualitative research with a ...case study method. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews. The research design uses an ethnographic design. Informants as resource persons were vice principals in the field of curriculum, heads of machining engineering competency skills, heads of production units, and teachers of machining engineering practice. The data that has been collected is then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Validity testing uses source triangulation and technique triangulation. This research shows that schools can fulfill the procurement of equipment and materials in stages. Based on the findings, learning tools provide support for project-based learning in the form of (1) preparing job sheet documents as a learning tool for students during practice. The job sheet is in the form of material stages to achieve student competency targets. (2) ensure that the results of objects that students work on through the competency stages can be used as products with use value.
The aim of the study is to improve nonregular students’ achievement on Solid State Physics course through the STAD model with Self-Explanation learning strategy. The study uses quasi-experimental ...with nonequivalent control group design. The result shows that the STAD model with Self- Explanation learning strategy can improve students’ achievement. Experiment class attaines the normalized everage gain score of 0,567 (medium category), 0,783 (high category), and 0,465 (medium category) respectively for I, II, and final test. While control class attaines the normalized everage gain score of 0,366 (medium category), 0,391 (medium category), and 0,340 (medium category) respectively for I, II, and final test. In addition, experiment class students give higher positive response than control class for learning process. Key words: STAD, Self-Explanation, achievement, Solid State Physics Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar matakuliah Fisika Zat Padat mahasiswa non-regular melalui pembelajaran model STAD dengan strategi Self-Explanation. Penelitian ini menggunakan disain kuasi eksperimen rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran model STAD dengan strategi Self-Explanation mampu meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa, yang ditandai oleh gain score ternormalisasi rata-rata kelas eksperimen berturut-turut untuk tes I, II, dan final sebesar 0,567 (kategori medium), 0,783 (kategori tinggi), dan 0,465 (kategori medium) lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,366 (kategori medium), 0,391 (kategori medium), dan 0,340 (kategori medium). Di samping itu, mahasiswa kelas eksperimen memberikan respon positip terhadap proses pembelajaran lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Accounting for model form uncertainty is one of the key challenges in the model calibration of physical systems. It has been traditionally ignored (or not properly accounted for) in the model ...calibration of structural systems. The state-of-the-art Kennedy and O’Hagan (KOH) approach to account for model form uncertainty has only been applied for calibration of systems under static or quasi-static loading. This paper proposes an extension of the KOH approach to account for model form uncertainty in the calibration of linear systems (i.e., estimating their physical parameters) subject to dynamic loading. A novel power spectral density – covariance function pair based on the theory of random vibrations is proposed that can potentially represent model form uncertainty arising in linear dynamic systems. The proposed methodology is illustrated and validated by calibrating structural engineering benchmark problems (single- and multi-degree-of-freedom systems) in the presence of model form uncertainty subject to dynamic loading (wind and earthquake loading). A bias in estimates of physical parameters is observed when the calibration is performed without properly accounting for model form uncertainty. This bias is eliminated when the calibration is performed using the proposed methodology.
