BACKGROUND:L’innesco globale di misure cautelative per la tutela della salute pubblica ha indubbiamente rafforzato l’interesse dei formatori per metodologie di simulazione virtuale. In ...quest’accezione formativa, i Serious Games sembrano consentire una miglior accessibilità, comprendendo la possibilità di essere fruiti o ripetuti un numero ipoteticamente infinito di volte senza rimanere necessariamente ancorati alla presenza dei docenti, alla disponibilità dei laboratori, al materiale presente ed agli eventuali impegni dei discenti stessi contribuendo all'esperienza di apprendimento migliorando la motivazione, l’impegno nel contesto della formazione cognitiva e la fiducia in sé stessi degli studenti infermieri. Gli ambiti di applicazione della gamification (intesa come l’integrazione di caratteristiche proprie dei giochi in contesti non di gioco sembrano essere piuttosto differenti, tuttavia, alcuni ambiti in particolare sembrano aver iniziato a riscontrare un certo interesse, fra cui, quello della Salute Mentale dove si riscontrano outcomes promettenti in studi con strutturazioni e obiettivi ancora eterogenei, mostrando la necessità di ampliare le evidenze a disposizione.
METODI E ANALISI:Verrà effettuata una scoping review secondo la metodologia del Joanna Briggs Institute. Le banche dati biomediche consultate saranno MEDLINE (PubMed), Scopus, WebOfScience, Cochrane Library, Cinhal ed Embase; l’estensione della ricerca sulla letteratura grigia verrà effettuata consultando Google Scholar, ClincialTrials.gov, TRIP (Turn Research Into Practice), medRxiv, OSF Preprints, Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, Open Access Theses and Dissertations. Saranno inclusi articoli in lingua Italiana o Inglese disponibili in formato full text. La presentazione delle informazioni degli studi sarà effettuata sia attraverso tabelle specifiche che in forma narrativa.

Background
Depside several studies exploring ethical conflicts during COVID‐19 pandemic, few studies have explored in depth the perceptions and experiences of critical care professionals regarding these conflicts, the decision‐making process or which have analysed the complexity of actually implementing the recommendations of scientific societies and professional/healthcare institutions in interdisciplinary samples.
Design
A descriptive phenomenological study.
Methods
Thirty‐eight in‐depth interviews were conducted with critical care nurses and physicians from five hospitals in Spain and Italy between December 2020 and May 2021. A thematic content analysis of the interview transcripts was conducted by two researchers. Consolidated criteria for reporting qualitative research (COREQ) were employed to ensure the quality and transparency of this study.
Results
Two main themes emerged as sources of ethical conflict: the approach to end of life in exceptional circumstances and the lack of humanisation and care resources. The former comprised two subthemes: end‐of‐life care and withholding and withdrawal of life‐sustaining treatment; the latter comprised three subthemes: the impossibility of guaranteeing the same opportunities to all, fear of contagion as a barrier to taking decisions and the need to humanise care.
Conclusions
Professionals sought to take their decisions in line with professional ethics and bioethical principles, but, nevertheless, they experienced moral dilemmas and moral distress when not being able to care for, or to treat, their patients as they believed fit.
Relevance to Clinical Practice
Further education and training are recommended on the provision of end‐of‐life and post‐mortem care, effective communication techniques via video calls, disclosure of bad news and bioethical models for decision‐making in highly demanding situations of uncertainty, such as those experienced during the COVID‐19 pandemic.
Amongst those responsible for the prevention of ocular diseases, registered nurses certainly play an essential role; however, the literature reports that the awareness/consideration of this type of ...disease by nurses and nursing students can be improved. It is, therefore, appropriate to carry out educational interventions aimed at increasing consideration/awareness of eye diseases consequences through virtual simulation; moreover, the students' experience during this type of activity still needs to be investigated. Therefore, this study aims to explore the experience of glaucoma and cataract sight virtual simulation among Italian nursing students with a qualitative, multi-centric phenomenological research. Bachelor nursing students from different universities in Italy will explore what it means to live with eye diseases through a virtual reality APP. Colaizzi's approach will be used to assess student experiences, investigated through an interview, a pre-experience questionnaire and side notes on student behavior during the experience and the interviews.
INTRODUZIONE: La crisi della professione infermieristica, in Italia, è reale sul piano sociale, professionale, economico ed istituzionale. Sotto molti aspetti, sembra che i problemi attuali ...rispecchino in buona parte quelli che erano presenti in Italia più di cent’anni fa.
METODI: Dal 23 Dicembre 2022 al 23 Gennaio 2023 è stata condotta un’indagine trasversale online. Per rispondere al questionario è stato chiesto agli infermieri di valutare su scala likert da 1 (minimo) a 10 (massimo) il loro accordo con le 20 affermazioni presenti nel questionario, riferite al contesto infermieristico generale italiano. Il contenuto delle affermazioni corrispondeva ad alcune problematiche presenti nel contesto infermieristico italiano nel passaggio di secolo fra il 1800 ed il 1900.
RISULTATI: Hanno partecipato all’indagine n.477 infermieri. Lo strumento utilizzato si è dimostrato valido e affidabile: l’analisi fattoriale esplorativa ha mostrato carichi sempre superiori al cutoff di Stevens e al cutoff convenzionale di 0.30, evidenziando l’esistenza dei 7 domini previsti in fase di costruzione dello strumento. La consistenza interna è risultata soddisfacente (omega globale=0.894).
DISCUSSIONE/CONCLUSIONI: Dopo cent’anni, gli interventi istituzionali in direzione di una modernizzazione europea e globale della professione si fanno ancora attendere. É pur vero che l’autonomia professionale, delineata in diversi Stati europei già agli albori del 1900, nel nostro Paese è stata festeggiata solo nell’ultima decade del secolo scorso ma non siamo ora nelle condizioni di protrarre di un secolo l’attesa di un intervento concreto. L’abbandono professionale ha già mietuto ampiamente le sue vittime e, senza infermieri, è a rischio il sistema sanitario nella sua globalità.
Malnutrition is frequently observed among patients with head and neck cancer, adversely affecting overall health and treatment outcomes. Prehabilitation, both nutritional and physical, is emerging as ...a strategy to optimize the nutritional status of these patients before commencing anti-cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This review methodology is designed to guide a systematic review with clear objectives: to analyze the issue of malnutrition in patients undergoing anti-cancer treatments, identify prehabilitative interventions, both nutritional and physical, aimed at promoting an improvement in nutritional status, and ascertain the most effective prehabilitative interventions in the clinical setting. With the publication of this review protocol, the aim is to provide a foundation for future systematic reviews in this emerging discipline.
Among the side effects of chemotherapy, dysgeusia stands out a disturbance or damage to taste perception that profoundly affects the patient's biopsychosocial well-being. Recognizing and ...appropriately managing this issue is paramount. This study aims to develop a systematic review protocol for evaluating multidisciplinary strategies aimed at alleviating dysgeusia in chemotherapy-treated patients. The protocol involves a thorough examination of database articles related to dysgeusia, primarily concentrating on the disorder but extending to related topics. The methodology places a strong emphasis on both methodological rigor and the relevance of selected studies. Consistent data extraction is followed by a comprehensive synthesis, providing a holistic perspective. Key objectives of this protocol include analyzing the dysgeusia problem in chemotherapy patients, identifying multidisciplinary strategies to mitigate dysgeusia, determining the most effective interventions for reducing dysgeusia, and recommending a specific assessment tool for this condition.

INTRODUZIONE:L’infermiere, già professionista o in fase di formazione, in ogni contesto clinico viene sempre più spesso a contatto con assistiti che presentano deficit di comunicazione, sia ...temporanei che permanenti. Le persone che presentano Bisogni Comunicativi Complessi (B.C.C.) spesso necessitano dell’adozione di strategie di compensazione, come la Comunicazione Aumentativa Alternativa (C.A.A.). Conoscere la C.A.A. ed i sistemi che essa mette a disposizione già in fase di formazione rappresenta un’importante risorsa per consentire di stabilire e mantenere un’efficace relazione terapeutica.
SCOPO:Indagare la conoscenza e la percezione riguardo la Comunicazione Aumentativa ed Alternativa in un campione di studenti del Corso di Laurea in Infermieristica (CLI) valutando l’efficacia di un intervento formativo.
METODI:Studio pre-post monocentrico con arruolamento di un campione di studenti di secondo e terzo anno del CLI dell’Università degli Studi di Milano: costruzione e validazione preliminare di un questionario per rilevare le conoscenze e percezioni prima e dopo la partecipazione ad un intervento formativo.
RISULTATI:Hanno partecipato 140 studenti; al T0 il 40.0% del campione conosceva la C.A.A., al T1 il 92.14%; successivamente all’intervento formativo le conoscenze del campione sono aumentate in modo statisticamente significativo (p <0.001 per tutte le domande proposte). Il questionario creato ha mostrato buone doti di validità (CVI-S = 0.93).
CONCLUSIONI:Pare auspicabile indagare le modalità di utilizzo della C.A.A. anche in diversi contesti clinico-assistenziali, quantificare i professionisti effettivamente formati al suo utilizzo, indagare le conoscenze di studenti di altre professioni sanitarie e non.
BACKGROUND: University nursing tutoring from clinical nurses is an essential and necessary component in supporting students to be successful in curricular activities in support of classroom learning. ...The aim of this study was to describe the experience of the nurse involved in clinical tutoring of students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing course at an Italian university. METHODS: A survey questionnaire created on the basis of a literature review was sent to all nurses involved in clinical tutoring within the ASL Bt. RESULTS: 67.44% reported that they had never received any kind of specific training despite the fact that 92.51% considered it essential for the correct performance of the role. 82.13% believe that this activity is not adequately valued CONCLUSIONS: The results obtained represent beginning of an educational pathway aimed at standardising the training processes of the clinical tutor, oriented towards improving the learning pathway of the future nursing class.
INTRODUZIONE: In Italia nel 2020 sono state stimate circa 55.000 nuove diagnosi di carcinoma della mammella. L’autoesame al seno (Breast Self Examination-BSE) rappresenta un primo strumento di ...prevenzione rivolto alle donne di qualsiasi età inducendole, in caso di alterazioni sospette, ad effettuare indagini diagnostiche più approfondite. Nonostante l’enorme potenzialità di questa pratica, essa non è ancora abbastanza diffusa e correttamente utilizzata. Per poter educare le donne alla corretta esecuzione della BSE è opportuno che anche l’infermiere in formazione acquisisca specifiche conoscenze in questo ambito. Lo studio si pone l’obiettivo di costruire e validare uno strumento per indagare le conoscenze riguardo l’autoesame al seno tra le studentesse del Corso di Laurea in Infermieristica (CLI) dell’Università degli Studi di Milano.
MATERIALI: Studio osservazionale descrittivo su campionamento di convenienza costituito dalle studentesse del CLI dell’UniMi. Somministrazione di un questionario creato ed elaborato in base alla letteratura. Successiva proposta di un video informativo.
RISULTATI: Dei 155 questionari somministrati si evince che l’81.9% conosce la pratica dell’autoesame al seno, ma solo il 51.6% la esegue con un aumento delle conoscenze con punteggi significativamente superiori a partire dal secondo anno (p=0,001). Una minoranza delle studentesse si sente sicura nella tecnica di esecuzione. Il 48.4% non pratica l’autoesame al seno.
CONCLUSIONI: Lo studio condotto evidenzia una buona conoscenza della BSE, ma una scarsa pratica della stessa. Implementare la formazione alla BSE dello studente infermiere può consentire un’educazione corretta nei confronti della popolazione femminile.
BACKGROUND: Bathing is one of the most intimate activities during which persons with dementia are cared for. The literature suggests that 20-40% of patients with cognitive impairment, hospitalized in ...long-term facilities, may react with aggressive behaviours.
AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of the towel bath technique in reducing agitation, aggression, and discomfort in nursing home residents with dementia.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: An Inteentional crossover study was conducted; a convenience sample of patients with dementia, was enrolled. Aggressive behaviors were evaluated using the italian version of the Care Recipient Behavior Assessment (CAREBA- ita).
RESULTS: 71 resident were enrolled. Towel Bath technique showed a reduction in episodes of aggression and in the execution time of the procedure with a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONS: The technique Towel bath provides a viable alternative to traditional bath to reduce aggression in patients with dementia.
