Suvremene medijske tehnologije strukturalno, formalno i temeljno oblikuju novinarsku profesiju, a
izmještanje sportskoga novinarstva „s polica s igračkama“, gdje se smještalo zbog mišljenja da se ne
...bavi ozbiljnim temama, u sferu značajna, važna i ekonomski vrijedna medijskog sadržaja možda je
njihov presudni utjecaj. Sportski sadržaji postali su nezaobilazan dio medija jer imaju izrazito visok
stupanj interesiranja u javnosti. I dok su sportski novinari nekada bili „naoružani“ statistikama i važili za dobre poznavatelje sporta, njihove nasljednike danas odlikuju interaktivnost, konvergencija,
hipertekstualnost i prilagođavanje na potrebu drugačijega oblikovanja i formatiranja sadržaja. Te i
takve promjene nesumnjivo su sferu novinarske deontologije i same profesije potisnule u drugi plan.
Uloga i važnost sporta u suvremenome svijetu i životu svakoga pojedinca stvorile su i jednu novu sastavnicu sportskoga novinarstva koja se ogleda u njegovoj ulozi sukreatora društvenih prilika. Mnogi
politički događaji izazvani događanjima na sportskim terenima, mišljenjima i stavovima vrhunskih
sportaša o, uvjetno rečeno, nesportskim temama postali su dio kulturnoga i nacionalnoga identiteta,
a ostvareni sportski uspjesi i priznanja kolektivna nacionalna euforija.
radu i izložiti.

In this paper, we will theoretically analyze changes that have occurred in contemporary society as a result of strong expansion of mass media and development of new media/communication technologies. ...Media are a very important social subsystem that permeates and affects all other social subsystems (family, politics, religion). In other words, the media have actually become a kind of environment in which all other subsystems function and adapt to it. The media influence in this sense is explained by the theory of society mediatization. Mediatization can be defined as a long-term process of structural changes in society and culture in which media play an important role in defining social reality and conditions of social interaction/culture. To discuss the society mediatization, it is important to understand the phenomenon of “media logic”. The concept of media logic is related to the impact that the media has on other social subsystems. In this sense, society mediatization is defined as the measure of institutional adoption of media logic by other social subsystems.
