To evaluate the effect of dyslipidemia on the incidence of moderate and severe Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) in the duration of assisted reproduction technique (ART).
The study included ...233 moderate and severe OHSS patients who received hospitalization after in-vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycles to avoid severe complications. They were divided into dyslipidemia group and normal lipid metabolism group to evaluate whether dyslipidemia contributes to the development of severe OHSS. Subgroup analysis was set to avoid deviation including the freeze-all group and fresh embryo transfer (ET) group according to whether the eligible women chose fresh embryo transfer immediately after their IVF or ICSI cycles. The main outcome measures included the incidence of moderate OHSS and severe OHSS, total gonadotropin dose, number of oocytes retrieved, age and body mass index (BMI). In the ET groups, the rate of pregnancy is also included for analysis.
In the freeze-all group, lipid metabolism was ultimately identified as the factor affecting the morbidity of severe OHSS and the ones with dyslipidemia were more likely to develop to severe OHSS (
< 0.05), while the incidence of severe OHSS among the ET groups had no statistical significance (
> 0.05).
The findings of this study suggested that dyslipidemia might contribute to the development of OHSS, especially for those patients who chose the cryopreservation of all embryos. It is essential to consider the risk of OHSS in patients with dyslipidemia although they required cryopreservation of all embryos.

TRIM58, an E3 ubiquitin ligase and a member of the tripartite motif protein family, is a potential prognostic marker that indicates poor prognosis in cancer. Currently, the precise molecular mechanisms for the TRIM58-mediated CRC progression remain unclear.
To examine the effects of TRIM58 on cell viability, cell cycle progression, and apoptosis in CRC, Cell Counting Kit-8 and flow cytometry assays were employed. The AKT inhibitor LY294002 was used to examine the effects of AKT signaling on TRIM58-mediated cell viability, cell cycle progression, and apoptosis in CRC. Additionally, Co-IP and ubiquitination assays were used to examine the correlation between TRIM58 and RECQL4.
TRIM58 overexpression inhibited CRC cell viability and promoted cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, in which the TRIM58 knockdown demonstrated inversed effects via the AKT signaling pathway. TRIM58 inhibited RECQL4 protein levels through its ubiquitin ligase activity, and RECQL4 overexpression inhibited TRIM58 overexpression-mediated CRC cell viability, cell cycle progression, and apoptosis. The downregulation of TRIM58 and upregulation of RECOL4 were observed in human CRC tissue, and TRIM58 demonstrated antitumor effects in CRC-induced tumor growth in a mouse model.
TRIM58 acts as a tumor suppressor in CRC through the promotion of RECQL4 ubiquitination and inhibition of the AKT signaling pathway and may be investigated for the successful treatment of CRC.
The posterior pallial amygdala (PoA) is located on the basolateral caudal telencephalon, including the basal division of PoA (PoAb) and the compact division of PoA (PoAc). PoA plays a vital role in ...emotion regulation and is considered a part of the amygdala in birds. However, the regulatory functions responsible for motor behaviors and emotions between PoAb and PoAc are poorly understood. Therefore, we studied the structure and function of PoA by tract-tracing methods, constant current electrical stimulation, and different dopamine receptor drug injections in pigeons (Columba livia domestica). PoAb connects reciprocally with two nuclear groups in the cerebrum: 1) a continuum comprising the temporo-parieto-occipitalis, corticoidea dorsolateralis, hippocampus, and parahippocampalis areas and 2) rostral areas of the hemisphere, including the nucleus septalis lateralis and nucleus taeniae amygdalae. Extratelencephalic projections of PoAb terminate in the lateral hypothalamic nucleus and are scattered in many limbic midbrain regions. PoAb and PoAc mainly mediated the turning movement. In the 'open-field' test, D1 agonist and D2 antagonist could significantly reduce the latency period for entering into the central area and increase the residence time in the central area, whereas D1 antagonist and D2 agonist had the opposite effect. PoAb and PoAc are important brain areas that mediate turning behavior.
A simple, rapid, and efficient method of ultrasonic nebulization extraction assisted dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction was developed for the simultaneous determination of six parabens in ...cosmetic products. The analysis was carried out by gas chromatography. Water was used as the dispersive solvent instead of traditional organic disperser. The experimental factors affecting the extraction yield, such as the extraction solvent and volume, extraction time, dispersive solvent and volume, ionic strength, and centrifuging condition were studied and optimized in detail. The limit of detections for the target analytes were in the range of 2.0–9.5 μg/g. Good linear ranges were obtained with the coefficients ranging from 0.9934 to 0.9969. The proposed method was successfully applied to the analysis of six parabens in 16 cosmetic products. The recoveries of the target analytes in real samples ranged from 81.9 to 108.7%, and the relative standard deviations were <5.3%.
Gasdermin D (GSDMD) functions as a pivotal executor of pyroptosis, eliciting cytokine secretion following cleavage by inflammatory caspases. However, the role of posttranslational modifications ...(PTMs) in GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis remains largely unexplored. In this study, we demonstrate that GSDMD can undergo acetylation at the Lysine 248 residue, and this acetylation enhances pyroptosis. We identify histone deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) as the specific deacetylase responsible for mediating GSDMD deacetylation, leading to the inhibition of pyroptosis both in vitro and in vivo. Deacetylation of GSDMD impairs its ubiquitination, resulting in the inhibition of pyroptosis. Intriguingly, phosphorylation of HDAC4 emerges as a critical regulatory mechanism promoting its ability to deacetylate GSDMD and suppress GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis. Additionally, we implicate Protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) catalytic subunits (PP1α and PP1γ) in the dephosphorylation of HDAC4, thereby nullifying its deacetylase activity on GSDMD. This study reveals a complex regulatory network involving HDAC4, PP1, and GSDMD. These findings provide valuable insights into the interplay among acetylation, ubiquitination, and phosphorylation in the regulation of pyroptosis, offering potential targets for further investigation in the field of inflammatory cell death.
Liver metastasis is the leading cause of death in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC). As an unavoidable pathophysiological process in liver surgery, liver ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury increases the risk of tumor recurrence and metastasis.
Colorectal liver metastasis (CRLM) mouse models and mouse liver partial warm ischemia models were constructed. The levels of lipid peroxidation were detected in cells or tissues. Western Blot, qPCR, elisa, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, scanning electron microscope, flow cytometry analysis were conducted to evaluate the changes of multiple signaling pathways during CRLM recurrence under liver ischemia-reperfusion (IR) background, including SGK1/IL-6/STAT3, neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) formation, polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cell (PMN-MDSC) infiltration.
Hepatocyte serum/glucocorticoid regulated kinase 1 (SGK1) was activated in response to hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury to pass hepatocyte STAT3 phosphorylation and serum amyloid A (SAA) hyperactivation signals in CRLM-IR mice, such regulation is dependent on SGK-activated IL-6 autocrine. Administration of the SGK1 inhibitor GSK-650394 further reduced ERK-related neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) formation and polymorphonucler myeloid-derived suppressor cells (PMN-MDSC) infiltration compared with targeting hepatocyte SGK1 alone, thereby alleviating CRLM in the context of IR.
Our study demonstrates that hepatocyte and immune cell SGK1 synergistically promote postoperative CRLM recurrence in response to hepatic IR stress, and identifies SGK1 as a translational target that may improve postoperative CRLM recurrence.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common reason of anovulatory infertility. Environmental factor is one of the main causes of PCOS, but its contribution to ovulatory dysfunction in PCOS ...remains unknown.
A total of 2217 infertile women diagnosed as PCOS according to Rotterdam criteria were recruited, including 1979 women with oligo-anovulation (OA group) and 238 women with normal -anovulation (non OA group). Besides, 279 healthy control women of reproductive age were enrolled as controls.
Frequencies of snoring (PCOS-OA group, PCOS-non-OA group, control group: 29.30% vs 18.10% vs 11.50%, P < 0.01), smoking (37.70% vs 28.10% vs 12.20%, P < 0.01), plastic tableware usage (38.30% vs 28.10% vs 25.40%, P < 0.01) and indoor decoration (32.10% vs 24.80% vs 16.80%, P < 0.01) were highest in PCOS-OA group. After adjusted for multivariable, difference remained significant between PCOS-OA group and the other two groups. PCOS-OA women preferred a meat favorable diet compared to PCOS-non-OA group (54.60% vs 41.30%, P < 0.01). There was no difference between three groups in exercise, frequency of insomnia, and alcohol consumption.
Smoking, snoring, hyper-caloric diet, plastic tableware usage and indoor decoration were found to be associated with an increased risk for ovulatory dysfunction in women suffering from PCOS.
Aiming at the problems of the low detection accuracy and difficult identification of the early weak fault signals of rolling bearings, this paper proposes a method for detecting the early weak fault ...signals of rolling bearings based on a double-coupled Duffing system and VMD. The influence rule of system initial value on the response characteristics of a double-coupled Duffing system is studied, and the basis for its determination is given. The frequency of the built-in power of the system is normalized, and a variance evaluation standard for the output value of the double-coupled Duffing system for weak fault signals detection is established. In order to solve the interference problem of fault monitoring signals, VMD is proposed to pre-process the fault monitoring signals. The weak fault signal detection method proposed in this paper is tested and verified by simulation signals and rolling bearing fault signals. The results show that the method proposed in this paper can detect the weak fault signal with the lowest signal-to-noise ratio reduced by 2.96 dB compared with the traditional Duffing detection system, and it can accurately detect the early weak fault signal of rolling bearings.

Methods
This study comprised 6,732 patients who underwent the first cycle of IVF/ICSI treatment in our outpatient department from January 2017 to July 2018. Propensity score matching (PSM) was used in PCOS and non-PCOS groups to balance the influence of intergroup confounding factors. After the PSM procedure, 1,186 patients were included in the two groups, and the PCOS patients were further divided into four PCOS phenotype groups based on the Rotterdam criteria.
Results
Patients with various PCOS phenotypes had similar rates of biochemical pregnancy, clinical pregnancy, and live birth (all
P
-values > 0.05). The overall incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes (including ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, preterm birth) was significantly higher in PCOS phenotype A and D groups than in the control group (44% and 46.4% vs. 28.7%,
P
= 0.027). The rates of hypertensive disorder of pregnancy (HDP) were significantly higher in PCOS phenotype A and C groups than in the control group (9.3% and 12.5% vs. 3.1%,
P
= 0.037). After adjustment for potential confounders, the differences in adverse pregnancy outcomes persisted (
P
= 0.025).
Conclusions
The overall incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes is higher in women with PCOS phenotypes A and D than in women with non-PCOS.
