This study investigates the factors that influence the adoption of digital technology in rural areas of India, with a focus on the Digital India Program (DIP). By analyzing the age distribution, ...education levels, technology adoption rates, and utilization patterns among rural populations, this research provides insights into the effectiveness of the DIP in targeting specific demographics and promoting digital inclusion. Quantitative data were collected from 400 respondents in Kalahandi District in the Odisha state of India. The data collected were analyzed using SPSS. The findings reveal a predominantly young population in rural India, indicating a workforce with significant economic potential and a higher likelihood of embracing digital technologies. Moreover, the study highlights the high levels of education among respondents, indicating a population well-equipped to understand and benefit from digital initiatives. Unexpectedly, the research shows a higher rate of digital technology adoption among female respondents, challenging the perception of gender disparities in technology access. This finding suggests that the DIP has played a vital role in bridging the gender gap and empowering women in rural areas. Additionally, the study uncovers a trend towards mobile-based services over computer-based services, signaling a shift in technology utilization patterns. This emphasizes the need to prioritize mobile technology and improve connectivity in rural areas to ensure wider access to digital platforms.

With a focus on large-scale survey data, the research investigates the direct and indirect effects of digital inclusive finance on the life satisfaction of the elderly, providing a comprehensive understanding of this relationship. The findings reveal a significant negative impact of digital inclusive finance on the life satisfaction of the elderly. Furthermore, the study identifies emotional comfort and economic support as crucial intermediary variables that play a role in the impact of digital inclusive finance on life satisfaction. This study highlights the need for policymakers to consider the emotional well-being of elderly individuals when promoting digital inclusive finance and emphasizes the importance of addressing the emotional comfort channel in such initiatives. By bridging the research gap in this area and offering novel insights, this study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on the well-being of elderly individuals in the context of digital finance.
Aim: To isolate aerobic bacterial micro flora residing in the upper respiratory tract of equines used by the pilgrims and tourists in Jammu & Kashmir. Materials and Methods: 88 apparently healthy ...equines and 53 equines with respiratory tract diseases were used in this study. Swab samples were collected from the upper respiratory tract of equines. Isolation and identification of the bacteria was conducted under aerobic conditions. Each of the sample processed yielded at least one type of bacteria species. Results: A total of 321 bacterial isolates were recovered from both groups of equines. The majority of the isolates were Gram positive (84.11%) and the rest were Gram negative (15.88%). Bacterial isolates identified in order of the magnitude were Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus (17.44%), Micrococcus spp. (9.96%), Corynebacterium spp. (9.65%), Staphylococcus intermedius (9.65%), Staphylococcus aureus (8.72%), Bacillus spp. (7.16%), Streptococcus pneumonia (5.60%), Staphylococcus chromogens (5.60%), Streptococcus equismilis (5.29%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (5.29%), Rhodococcus equi (3.73%), Escherichia coli (3.73%), Klebsiella pneumoniae (3.42%), Proteus vulgaris (3.42%), and Streptococcus equi subsp. equi (1.24%). Conclusion: The present study reveals the predominance of Gram positive bacteria in both healthy and diseased animals. Bacteria were recovered at a higher rate from diseased equines than from apparently healthy animals. Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus was mainly found to be associated with respiratory tract infections.
