The history of the International Migration Digest, soon renamed the International Migration Review (IMR), is chronicled from its inception in 1964 to the present. The IMR has provided a US ...counterpart to the European International Migration, both focusing on the behavior & experiences of immigrants. The IMR has covered primarily the functional aspects of immigration & society, with, unfortunately, less attention to the problems & dysfunctional aspects of ethnic issues. Special issues have been published with the support of such organizations as the Ford Foundation. Over a quarter of a century, the IMR has provided its readers with some 500 original articles & 1,200 book reviews from contributors in numerous disciplines & many countries (outlined in tabular form).
