This article discusses the relationship between anthropology and art in the philosophical work of contemporary Croatian philosopher Raimundo Kupareo. Anthropology is the study of man, and art is the ...study or manifestation of human presence. Man is a being of value that connects mysticism and rationality, knowledge and emotions, idea and matter, anthropology and art. The possibility of a touch between anthropology and art allows for the avoidance of dichotomous tendencies of separation between art and anthropology, works and authors. The artistic process, viewed from anthropological positions, is the process of rise and resurrection of the artist as the author and his/her work as a particular value. The author has been legitimized in the world as a being that conceives different ideas and is able to express them in matter, while his work has been publicly presented as a true, human value without the predetermined exclusivity of belonging to someone. That man presents a value, the same as a work of art, implies that the importance of artwork has been recognized through anthropological laws, in the same way that the value of man has been recognized through art. The article focuses on the artistic process as an existential process opening a man towards another man and his world. So, art and anthropology eliminate the alienation tendencies of man to become an ontologically, metaphysically, aesthetically, existentially, and culturally closed being.
Black pine (Pinus nigra J.F. Arnold) is one of the most important reforestation species for dry and rocky terrain in the sub-Mediterranean zone. Fire is an important factor in black pine stands that ...largely defines the distribution range of black pine and the floristic composition of its stands. Fire causes less damage during autumn or early spring when tree cones contain ripe seeds that can partially reforest burnt surfaces. Every fire is a potentially significant threat to forest habitats. There are many damages, from direct damages to wood mass and reforestation costs, to indirect ecological, edaphic, protective damages and the loss of biological diversity. The aim of prevention works in forestry is to reduce the number of fires and reduce burnt surface area per fire. Research was based on vegetation analysis performed on each experimental plot in a black pine stand. The assessment of fire severity was performed using the Canadian Forest Fire Weather Index (FWI). The assessment of the severity of fire indicates the suitability of conditions for the occurrence of forest fires, and enables sound and effective protective methods beginning with silvicultural works. The results indicate better quality stands in the higher parts of the sub-Mediterranean area. Taking into account the climatic parameter, the areas on the border with the continental climate have better habitat conditions for black pine. Also, attention should be focused on 2012 and 2015. High values (Figure 13 – 16.22, Figure 11 – 6.99, Figure 8 – 8.38, Figure 7 – 12.02 and 12.25, Figure 5 – 8.32) indicate the overlapping of extremely dry periods and extremely high summer temperatures, and probably a strong wind influence that further increases the index. Fire severity assessments indicate the suitability of conditions for the onset of fire.

Meteorological and Hydrological Service was established 70 years ago and agrometeorological activities (soil temperature measurements and phenological observations) started in 1951. Scientific ...research is divided into an agricultural meteorology, forest meteorology and plant phenology. The basic purpose of research is the impact of regional climate change on the crop production, on the phenological stages of different plants as forest trees and shrubs, fruit-trees, olive-trees, grapevine and maize, and on the potential wildfire risk. In the operational tasks short-range and medium-range forecasts have been produced for TV and internet since 2004, radio since 1990 and specialized journals since 1988. For further development of Croatian agrometeorology, future plans are using monthly and seasonal forecasts for prediction of the development of yield of major agricultural crops, for irrigation purposes, as well as for potential risk of wildfires and applying satellite data and nowcasting for warning purposes in agriculture and in forest protection against fire.
Cilj rada bio je analizirati bioekološke, šumsko-uzgojne, hortikulturne i nutritivne karakteristike mirte (Myrtus communis L.). Mirta je vazdazelena i heliofilna vrsta koja raste grm (4-5 m) s ...aromatičnim listovima i cvjetovima. U našoj se flori, osim podvrste (ssp. communis) nalazi i izrazito rijetka sitnolisna mirta ssp. tarentina (L.) Nyman. Mirta je šumska voćkarica, a uz navedeno i dekorativna te medonosna vrsta našeg mediteranskog područja. Pored navedenog mirta je i ljekovita biljka te se koristi u pučkoj i službenoj medicini. Povezana je s kulturom našeg naroda, a u gastronomiji se malo koristi. Na otoku Hvaru se od mirtinih plodova izrađuje rakija Martinovica. Izvrsno se obnavlja nakon požara. Značaj ove autohtone vrste je očuvanje biološke raznolikosti i ekološke stabilnosti šumske vegetacije, radi čega bi se trebala više valorizirati u agrošumarstvu, hortikulturi i melioracijama krša
The aim of this work is to analyze the bioecological, silvicultural, horticultural and nutritional characteristics of myrtle (Myrtus communis L.). Myrtle is the evergreen and heliophilous species that grows as an shrub (4-5 m) with aromatic leaves and flowers. In our flora, apart from the subspecies (ssp. communis), there is also an extremely rare small-leaved myrtle ssp. Tarentina (L.) Nyman. Myrtle is a forest fruit tree, as well as a decorative and honeybearing species in north costal mediterranean area. In addition to the mentioned myrtle, it is also a medicinal plant and is used in folk and official medicine. It is connected with the culture od matice mediteran pupile and is also used in gastronomy. Martinovic brandy is made from myrtle fruits on the island of Hvar. Tree od myrta regenerates very well on burned area. The importance of these autochthonous specie is in the preservation of biological diversity and ecological stability of forest vegetation, which is why they should have more valorized in agroforestry, horticulture and karst melioration
Pinija (Pinus pinea L.) je autohtona mediteranska drvenasta vrsta koja je raširena na cijelom Sredozemlju. Pinija je termofilna biljna vrsta koja je dobro prilagođena sušnim uvjetima uzgoja te ima ...dosta široku valenciju u pogledu zemljišta za uzgoj. Ima gospodarsku, ekološku, krajobraznu i nutritivnu vrijednost. U šumarstvu je posebno pogodna i poželjna za pošumljavanje i melioraciju degradiranih terena na kršu. Cilj ovog rada bio je analizirati bioekološke, šumsko-uzgojne, hortikulturne i nutritivne karakteristike pinije.
Pine (Pinus pinea L.) is an autochthonous mediterranean woody species that is widespread throughout the Mediterranean coast. Pine tree is a thermophilic plant species that is well adapted to growing in dry conditions and has a wide range of cultivation. Its value is economic, ecological, landscape and nutritional. In forestry, it is suitable and desirable for afforestation and melioration of degraded karst terrain. The aim of this work is to analyze the bioecological, forestry, horticultural and nutritional characteristics of pine.
Prirodni fenomen, Kočje, 1962. godine proglašen je posebnim rezervatom šumske vegetacije, dok je njegov glavni fenomen šuma stogodišnjih stabala hrasta crnike (
Quercus ilex
L.). Rezervat je ...sjemenskog postanka s ponekom panjačom. Osim s vegetacijskog gledišta, Kočje je specifično i zbog niza geomorfoloških oblika. Šumu ovog rezervata se može svrstati u šumu hrasta crnike i crnog jasena. U radu su dani rezultati opsežnih istraživanja koja su provedena u prvoj polovici 2015. godine, a uključivala su strukturna, vegetacijska i mikroklimatska mjerenja. Strukturna izmjera stabala provedena je na području cijelog rezervata, a vegetacijska i mikroklimatološka istraživanja su obuhvatila 7 pokusnih ploha.Rezultati su pokazali da inventarizirana stabala hrasta crnike (140) pokazuju konstantno opadanje vitaliteta, što je sasvim razumljivo i vezano na njihovu stoljetnu dob. Ustanovljeno je i da su najbrojnije vrste u fazi ponika i pomladka:

L., dok hrast crnika prevladava u nadstojnoj etaži. S obzirom na strukturne tablice sastojina na pokusnim plohama 1.-7. kao i na ukupne iznose drvne zalihe, došlo se do spoznaje da se sklopljeni dio šume rezervata i dalje nalazi u stadiju visoke crnikove šume.Iz fitocenoloških snimki (tablica 12) također uočavamo tu heterogenost staničnih uvjeta budući osim tipičnih vrsta asocijacije

(Šuma hrasta crnike i crnog jasena) ovisno o geološko-morfološkim, hidrološkim, pedološkim i mikroklimatskim prilikama pridolaze vrste koje nisu tipične za šumsku vegetaciju. Ponajprije paprati, vegetacija stijena, mahovina i sl. Pokrovnost vegetacije u rezervatu Kočje nije jednolična. Središnji dio gdje prevladavaju stara stabla crnike pokrovnost sloja drveća je 90-95 % (100 %), grmlje pokriva 30-100 %. Pokrovnost sloja prizemnog rašća je također različita i ovisi o pokrovnosti sloja grmlja i drveća, tako da je od 5-80 %. Isto tako u rezervatu nalazimo gusti sloj nerazgrađenog listinca najčešće od 2 do 5 cm, a u „džepovima“, škrapama između stijena 10 do 15 cm. Tu ga najviše nanosi voda za jakih kiša.Mikroklimatskim istraživanjima je potvrđeno da kolebanja mikroklimatskih elemenata (temperatura i količina svjetla) ovise o stupnju sklopljenosti sastojine u sloju drveća i grmlja te geomorfološkim situacijama na plohama.
The natural phenomenon of Kočje, was declared as a special reserve of forest vegetation in 1962, while its main phenomenon is a forest of hundred-year-old holm oak trees (
Quercus ilex
L.). It is a reserve of seed production with some sedges. Apart from it´s vegetation , Kočje has number of geomorphological forms. The forest of this reserve is classified as a forest of holm oak and black ash. The paper presents the results of extensive research conducted in the first half of 2015, which included structural, vegetation and microclimate measurements. The structural survey of the trees was carried out in the entire area of the reserve, and the vegetation and microclimatological research included 7 test plots.The results showed that the inventoried holm oak trees (140) show a constant decline in vitality, which is quite understandable and related to their age and most of numerous species are in the stage of ponics and saplings:
Laurus nobilis
and
Viburnum tinus
, while holm oak predominates in the upper layer. With regard to the structural tables of the stands on experimental plots 1.-7. (tables 2-8), as well as the total amount of wood stock, it is conformed that the closed part of the reserve’s forest is still in the stage of high holm oak forest.Phytocenological recordings (table 12) are showing that there is an heterogeneity of cellular conditions, since, in addition to the typical species of the association Fraxino orni–Quercetum ilicis Horvatić (1956) 1958 (Black oak and black ash forest), depending on geological-morphological, hydrological, pedological and microclimatic conditions, additional species which are not typical for forest vegetation. Primarily ferns, rock vegetation, mosses, etc. The vegetation cover in Kočje reserve is anuniform. In the central part where old holm oak trees predominate, the tree layer coverage is 90-95 % (100 %), bushes cover 30-100 %. The coverage of the layer of ground growth is also different and depends on the coverage of the layer of bushes and trees, so it is from 5-80 %. In the reserve, we find a thick layer of undecomposed leaf (2-5 cm), and in “pockets”, scraps between rocks, (10-15 cm). It is mostly applied by water during heavy rains. The microclimatic research has confirmed that the fluctuations of microclimatic elements (temperature and amount of light) depend on the degree of assembly of the stand in the layer of trees and bushes and the geomorphological conditions on the surfaces (stone corridors, arched and narrow passages, boulders, obstacles, etc.).
