Active power decoupling methods are developed to deal with the inherent ripple power at twice the grid frequency in single-phase systems generally by adding active switches and energy storage units. ...They have obtained a wide range of applications, such as photovoltaic (PV) systems, light-emitting diodes (LEDs) drivers, fuel cell (FC) power systems, and electric vehicle (EV) battery chargers, etc. This paper provides a comprehensive review of active power decoupling circuit topologies. They are categorized into two groups in terms of the structure characteristics: independent and dependent decoupling circuit topologies. The former operates independently with the original converter, and the latter, however, shares the power semiconductor devices with the original converter partially and even completely. The development laws for the active power decoupling topologies are revealed from the view of "duality principle," "switches sharing," and "differential connection." In addition, the exceptions and special cases are also briefly introduced. This paper is targeted to help researchers, engineers, and designers to construct some new decoupling circuit topologies and properly select existing ones according to the specific application.
The metal–organic frameworks material functionalized by grafting amino group of tetraethylenepentamine on the coordinative unsaturated Cr (III) centers is described. The obtained ...tetraethylenepentamine-functionalized adsorbents with different mass ratios of tetraethylenepentamine have been characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier-transform infrared, X-ray powder diffraction, and N2 adsorption and desorption isotherms. Significantly, MIL-101-tetraethylenepentamine 60% exhibited high adsorption capacity (350 mg/g) for removal of uranium (VI) from water at pH 4.5. At uranium concentration <20 mg/L, the isothermal plot was best represented by Freundlich model. At U(VI) concentration approximately >30 mg/L, the isotherm was best described by Langmuir model.
In this paper, CoNiP and CoNiP/Cr2O3 composite coatings were successfully electrodeposited onto Cr-Ni-Mo-V steels substrate by using direct current (DC). The effects of Cr2O3 particle contents and ...heat treatment on the microstructures, coating compositions, microhardness and wear resistance properties of the coatings were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Vickers hardness tester and ball-on-disk tribometer. The results showed that the coatings transformed from amorphous to crystalline structures by heat treatment at 350 °C, and their microhardness significantly increased. The contents of Cr2O3 particles in the coatings reached a stable value for the coatings deposited in the plating bath with concentration of Cr2O3 higher than 15 g/L, meanwhile the coating deposited in the plating bath of 15 g/L Cr2O3 (CoNiP-15 g/L Cr2O3) possessed the highest microhardness. Wear test results at room temperature, 200, 300, 400 and 500 °C showed that the wear resistance of the coatings was improved by the addition of Cr2O3 particles, and the CoNiP-15 g/L Cr2O3 coating had the lowest coefficient of friction and wear loss among all the samples.
•The CoNiP/Cr2O3 composite coatings were prepared on the steel substrate.•The effect of heat treatment on the microstructure and microhardness of the coatings were studied.•The effects of Cr2O3 particle contents on the microstructures and wear resistance properties of the coatings were investigated.•The wear of the substrate and coatings at different wear temperatures were studied.
Job stress, perceived social support, and job satisfaction are important predictors of job burnout. However, few studies have explored the mechanism of job stress on different dimensions of job ...burnout through perceived social support and job satisfaction among bank employees. In this study, a total of 1464 Chinese bank employees completed the Job Stress Assessment Scale, Perceived Social Support Scale, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire and Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey. The results showed that job burnout was positively associated with job stress but negatively associated with perceived social support and job satisfaction. Mediating analyses showed that the mediation of perceived social support was different for job burnout than for different job burnout dimensions. Job satisfaction mediated the relationship between job stress and different job burnout dimensions. In addition, the association between job stress and job burnout was sequentially mediated by perceived social support and job satisfaction.
Scalp electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis and interpretation are crucial for tracking and analyzing brain activity. The collected scalp EEG signals, however, are weak and frequently tainted with ...various sorts of artifacts. The models based on deep learning provide comparable performance with that of traditional techniques. However, current deep learning networks applied to scalp EEG noise reduction are large in scale and suffer from overfitting.
Here, we propose a dual-pathway autoencoder modeling framework named DPAE for scalp EEG signal denoising and demonstrate the superiority of the model on multi-layer perceptron (MLP), convolutional neural network (CNN) and recurrent neural network (RNN), respectively. We validate the denoising performance on benchmark scalp EEG artifact datasets.
The experimental results show that our model architecture not only significantly reduces the computational effort but also outperforms existing deep learning denoising algorithms in root relative mean square error (RRMSE)metrics, both in the time and frequency domains.
The DPAE architecture does not require a priori knowledge of the noise distribution nor is it limited by the network layer structure, which is a general network model oriented toward blind source separation.
For equivalent modeling of mixed wind farms (WFs), existing clustering indicators cannot consider the complex coupling characteristics between different types of wind turbines (WTs). In this paper, a ...refined equivalent modeling approach based on artificial intelligence technology is proposed. Firstly, the electromechanical transient performance of mixed WFs is analyzed. The WT type, wind speed and direction, and voltage dip are considered the dominant factors affecting the external dynamic response of mixed WFs. Secondly, the equivalent node model is established, including the selection of independent and dependent variables. Then, the multiple artificial neural networks (ANNs) are trained one by one based on small sample data, to fit the nonlinear relationship between the dependent variables and the independent variables. Finally, the dynamic response of the power systems with a mixed WF is simulated in the MATLAB platform. A comparison of the errors in electromechanical phenomena demonstrates that the proposed model can reflect the external characteristics of the test mixed WF in different wind conditions and voltage dips.

•Prevalence of depression symptoms increased with BADL scores in subjects themselves.•Prevalence of depression symptoms increased with spouse BADL scores in non-disabled subjects.•ADL disabilities ...were associated with higher risk of developing depression symptoms in subjects and their spouses.•There might be a threshold in the severity of disability to trigger the development of depression symptoms.
Little is known about the impact of activities of daily living (ADL) disability on personal and spouse depression symptoms among Chinese.
We used data from the baseline and 2013 follow-up surveys of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study, a nationally representative survey in 17,708 adults aged 45 years and older, to evaluate cross-sectional and prospective association between ADL disability and depression symptoms of subjects and their spouses. The derived basic ADL scale (BADL) and the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale short form were utilized to assess ADL disability and depressive symptoms, respectively. Logistic regression was used to calculate odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI), adjusting for depression risk factors and taking into account the complex survey design and response rate.
There were 15,890 subjects included in the study. Prevalence of baseline depression symptoms was 29.5% (95%CI 27.9–31.1%), 58.0% (95%CI 54.5–61.4%) and 73.6% (95%CI 70.4–76.8%) in subjects with BADL scores of 0, 1 and ≥2, respectively, and 27.0% (95%CI 25.3–28.7%), 34.2% (95%CI 30.0–38.4%) and 43.8% (95%CI 39.1–48.5%) in subjects without ADL disability while having spouses with BADL scores of 0, 1 and ≥2, respectively. Prospectively, BADL score ≥2 was associated with higher risk of depression symptoms of subjects (OR 1.63, 95% CI 1.03–2.57) and their spouses (OR 1.50, 95% CI 1.01–2.22).
Bias might be introduced because of observational study design, and findings may not be generalizable to younger population.
ADL disability might have potential to increase risk of depression symptoms of middle-aged and older Chinese adults and their spouses.
AlSi10Mg alloy formed by selective laser melting (SLM) has been gradually applied in aerospace and other fields, and heat treatment can further improve the properties of AlSi10Mg alloy. Therefore, it ...is very particularly meaningful to explore the effects of heat treatment on microstructure and residual stress of SLM AlSi10Mg alloy. An approach is proposed to evaluate the stress, strain and microstructure changes during heat treatment. As a result, the heating temperature of 350°C and tempering temperature of 200°C are the optimal heat-treatment processes. Furthermore, by tensile fracture analysis, the tensile strength of the sample after heat treatment decreases by 40%, and the total elongation after fracture increases by 280%.
