Aim
This study aims to evaluate the effects of a nurse‐coordinated, empowerment‐based integrated care model on self‐care behaviours and psychosocial outcomes in patients with atrial fibrillation and ...to explore how this intervention affects patients’ self‐care behaviours and quality of life.
Design
This mixed‐methods study comprises a randomized controlled trial and an exploratory qualitative study.
Methods
A total of 392 community‐dwelling patients aged ≥65 years with a confirmed diagnosis of atrial fibrillation, a high stroke risk and no oral anticoagulants treatment will be recruited from the medical outpatient clinics of a university‐affiliated hospital. The patients will be randomly allocated to intervention or control groups, which will receive treatment via the nurse‐coordinated integrated care model or standard care, respectively. We hypothesize that compared with patients receiving standard care, atrial fibrillation patients exposed to the nurse‐coordinated care model will be more likely to achieve compatible patient and physician decisions regarding the use of oral anticoagulants, better changes in medication adherence, anxiety, depression and health‐related quality of life after the intervention. A subsample of 30 participants in the intervention group will also participate in a qualitative interview to provide their views and perceptions about the intervention. The ethical approval has obtained on 5 July 2018. This study is supported by a grant from the Research Grants Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on 29 June 2018.
Discussion
This study will uniquely adopt an empowerment‐based approach to equip patients as active agents in atrial fibrillation management through a nurse‐coordinated integrated care model that comprehensively addresses their needs.
Impact
Patients with atrial fibrillation are currently receiving inadequate guideline‐recommended care. This study will address this important evidence‐practice gap by optimizing oral anticoagulant prescription and therapeutic effects and promotes effective patient self‐care, so as to achieve worldwide reductions in atrial fibrillation‐related morbidity, mortality, and healthcare burdens.

设计
本混合方法研究包括随机对照实验和探索性质的定性研究。
方法

The peritectic melting of α→β+liquid is of great importance in various fields. Here, by high temperature optical microscopy, the peritectic melting evolution was in-situ investigated, where the α ...phase is the YBa2Cu3O7−y film deposited on single crystalline substrates and the β phase is the Y2BaCuO5 grain. A variety of thermal stabilities of α films associated with forming behaviors of β grains were observed, which were mainly attributed to two factors. One is the film microstructure as an internal origin. The other is the driving force supplied by a heating up process as an external condition. More distinctively, analogous to the growth kinetics in crystallization, we derived peritectic melting kinetics of thin films relating to the β formation. The correlation among film microstructures, driving force and melting behaviors was well established. Most importantly, this new approach of the kinetic analysis in the peritectic melting should be universally valid for more film/substrate constructions.

Leaf dew is an important input in farmland ecosystems, but information regarding the nutrients from leaf dew deposition in paddy fields is scarce. Leaf dew samples were monitored and collected in ...situ from the Sanjiang Plain paddy experimental station during the rice growing periods in 2008, 2009, and 2010. The pH and essential nutrients ammonium nitrogen (), nitrate nitrogen (), and phosphorus (P) in paddy leaf dew were investigated, the nutrients in guttation and condensed dew were distinguished. In addition, the nutrient contributions of foliar fertilizer to Oryza sativa L (rice) were compared with those of leaf dew. The results indicate that the mean pH of leaf dew on rice is 6.3 (n=56), lower than the pH of rain and surface water. Condensed dew contributes about 97.7% of the nitrogen (N) and 95.7% of the phosphorus (P) in paddy leaf dew. Guttation provides a minor part of the N and P in leaf dew. The amount of leaf dewfall is much larger than the volume of foliar fertilization, with the amount of , , and P deposition from leaf dew almost 100 higher than from foliar fertilization. Compared with foliar fertilizer, leaf dew is a natural and potential fertilizer. Leaf dew is an important pathway for nutrient transfer within paddies.
Copper silver selenide has two phases: low-temperature semimetal phase (α-CuAgSe) and high-temperature phonon-glass superionic phase (β-CuAgSe). In this work, the electric transport and ...thermoelectric properties of the two phases are investigated. It is revealed that β-CuAgSe is a p-type semiconductor and exhibits low thermal conductivity while α-CuAgSe shows metallic conduction with dominant n-type carriers and low electrical resistivity. The thermoelectric figure of merit zT of the polycrystalline β-CuAgSe at 623K is ~0.95, suggesting that superionic CuAgSe can be a promising thermoelectric candidate in the intermediate temperature range.

In the circular bio-economy, effective biomass valorization through the strategic use of resources is essential in terms of generating valuable products, sustainable development, and maximizing ...ecological and socio-economic benefits. Technologies are being developed and improved to optimize the use of abundant biomass and to generate several value-added products. Efficient nutrient recovery requires additional energy-intensive steps for effective valorization. Moreover, appropriate waste collection and pretreatment practices increase the degree of valorization. The use of biomass waste in biorefineries has significant potential to yield biofuels and organic fertilizers. Further research and development are required to develop effective biorefining technologies to enable the efficient exploitation of bioresources. Greater consideration should be applied to energy pathways to support this technology. Therefore, there is a demand for innovation in the integrated biorefining approach in response to changing markets, and novel commercial models should be introduced into the circular economy.

The reason for wider color gamut of laser display systems rests on RGB laser lights whose color coordinates very approach the locus of gamut chart, which means the most saturated colors. A novel, ...practical and simplest method to reduce the laser speckle is developed. A laser digital cinema projector (LDCP) is manufactured for the first time in the world. The LDCP enjoys all benefits of 166% NTSC expanded color gamut, beyond 9 024 ANSI lumens light output, a minimum sequential contrast ratio of 2595:1, 2048 X 1080 display resolution, etc.
Fatigue tests of dual phase sheet steel (DP600) were conducted with strain controlled mode of fully reverse loading conditions at room temperature. The specimens were fabricated with three different ...prestrain paths such as as-received, uniaxial prestrain and plane strain prestrain. Fatigue properties for the all prestrain paths were determined from the fatigue test results. The strain-life curve equations were depended on the prestrain levels and paths. In this study a universal strain-life equation was proposed based on the experimental data to predict the fatigue life of dual phase sheet steel with different prestrain paths. The proposed model utilized fatigue properties of the as-received condition coupled with prestrain levels in the length, width, and thickness of the test specimen. The effectiveness of the proposed universal strain-life equation was demonstrated with a simple metal formed part that experienced various prestrain paths.
To assess the 4-year anti-HBs persistence after revaccination with 3-dose of hepatitis B vaccine (HepB) among low-responsive adults.
A total of 24 237 healthy adults who had no history of hepatitis B ...infection and hepatitis B vaccination, resided in the local area for more than six months and were aged 18-49 years were selected from 79 villages of Zhangqiu county, Shandong province, China in 2009. Blood samples were obtained and hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), antibody against hepatitis B surface antigen (anti-HBs) and antibody against hepatitis B core antigen (anti-HBc) were detected using ELISA method. A total of 11 590 persons who were negative for all of these indicators were divided into four groups by cluster sampling method. Each group was vaccinated with one of the following four types of HepB at 0-1-6 months schedule: 20 μg HepB derived in Saccharomyces cerevisiae (HepB-SC), 20 μg HepB derived in Chinese hamster ovary cell (HepB-CHO), 10 μg HepB-SC and 10 μg HepB derived in Hansenula polymorpha
