2D phosphorene, arsenene, antimonene, and bismuthene, as a fast‐growing family of 2D monoelemental materials, have attracted enormous interest in the scientific community owing to their intriguing ...structures and extraordinary electronic properties. Tuning the monoelemental crystals into bielemental ones between group‐VA elements is able to preserve their advantages of unique structures, modulate their properties, and further expand their multifunctional applications. Herein, a review of the historical work is provided for both theoretical predictions and experimental advances of 2D V‐V binary materials. Their various intriguing electronic properties are discussed, including band structure, carrier mobility, Rashba effect, and topological state. An emphasis is also given to their progress in fabricated approaches and potential applications. Finally, a detailed presentation on the opportunities and challenges in the future development of 2D V‐V binary materials is given.
2D V‐V binary materials, as the internal combination of group‐VA elements (N, P, As, Sb, Bi), have become a popular research topic. Through the interaction among charge, orbital, lattice, and spin degrees of freedom, the favorable and superior properties in 2D V‐V binary materials can be further modulated, extending their application in novel electronic, optoelectronic, and energy devices.
In this study, the P25 TiO
2
nanoparticles and graphene sheets (GSs) composite were prepared from a facile thermal reaction of graphene oxide. Its microstructures and photocatalytic properties were ...characterized and measured using X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) specific area analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), FT-IR spectra, and ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. Compared with pure P25 nanoparticles, the results reveal that (1) there is a red shift about 20 nm in the absorption edge of the P25/graphene composite; (2) the photocurrent of the composite is about 15 times higher than that of pure P25; (3) the visible light photocatalytic activity of the composite is enhanced greatly on decomposition of methylene blue (MB). The photocatalytic mechanism of the P25/graphene composite is also discussed.
Halide perovskites have emerged as a type of extremely promising material for their diverse chemical and electronic structures along with their brilliant optoelectronic properties. The introduction ...of chirality into perovskite scaffolds, generating a novel concept of chiral perovskite materials, offers an immense step forward toward the development of smart optoelectronic and spintronic materials and devices. The present Review summarizes recent advances in such an emerging field regarding the design and construction of chiral perovskite materials, along with their optoelectronic performances. In addition, an outlook of future challenges as well as the potential significance of the chiral perovskite family on the optical communication is proposed.

Self‐powered photodetectors are considered as a new type of photodetectors enabling self‐powered photodetection without external power. The excellent photoresponsivity, fast photoresponse rate, low ...dark current, and large light on/off ratio of these photodetectors have attracted wide interest among scholars. 2D materials are widely used in self‐powered photodetectors due to their excellent optical and electrical properties, unique 2D structures, and their capabilities to exhibit excellent photodetection performance. According to the self‐driving mechanism of 2D material‐based self‐powered photodetectors, they are divided into three categories: p–n junction photodetectors, Schottky junction photodetectors, and photoelectrochemical photodetectors. From these three perspectives, the research progress of 2D material‐based self‐powered photodetectors is summarized in detail here. Research reports indicate that 2D material‐based self‐powered photodetectors have excellent self‐powered photoresponse behavior, good light on/off characteristics, and wideband spectral response ranges. The excellent photoresponse performance of 2D material‐based self‐powered photodetectors facilitates their potential applications in the field of optoelectronic devices. In particular, self‐powered photodetectors have great potential as novel emerging self‐driven optoelectronic devices. Finally, directions for the further development of 2D material‐based self‐powered photodetectors are anticipated.

MicroRNA exhibits differential expression levels in cancer and can affect cellular transformation, carcinogenesis and metastasis. Although fluorescence techniques using dye molecule labels have been ...studied, label-free molecular-level quantification of miRNA is extremely challenging. We developed a surface plasmon resonance sensor based on two-dimensional nanomaterial of antimonene for the specific label-free detection of clinically relevant biomarkers such as miRNA-21 and miRNA-155. First-principles energetic calculations reveal that antimonene has substantially stronger interaction with ssDNA than the graphene that has been previously used in DNA molecule sensing, due to thanking for more delocalized 5s/5p orbitals in antimonene. The detection limit can reach 10 aM, which is 2.3-10,000 times higher than those of existing miRNA sensors. The combination of not-attempted-before exotic sensing material and SPR architecture represents an approach to unlocking the ultrasensitive detection of miRNA and DNA and provides a promising avenue for the early diagnosis, staging, and monitoring of cancer.
In this paper, we introduce an approach to simply and effectively determine the mechanical property and number of layers of graphene simultaneously from one indentation by using an instrumented ...nano-indenter. The results reveal that the elastic modulus of a single layer graphene is 0.89TPa after correction of the effect of substrate, which is coincident to the experimental and theoretical data from other researches. In addition, it is found that there exist a linear relationship between the number of layers and the hardness of graphene, which provide a novel and also effective method for judging the number of graphene layers.

IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is the most prevalent primary glomerulonephritis worldwide and a leading cause of chronic kidney failure. There are currently no definitive therapeutic regimens to treat or ...prevent the progression of IgAN. However, biologic agents offer novel therapeutic approaches that target immunological mechanisms to slow or halt disease progression. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of biologic agents in patients with IgA nephropathy.
We will systematically search PubMed, EMbase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and www.clinicaltrials.gov for randomized controlled trials of biologic agents for the treatment of IgA nephropathy. The search period will span from the establishment of each database until October 2023. The quality assessment of included studies will be performed individually using the revised Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized trials (RoB 2), and meta-analysis will be conducted using Revman 5.4.1 software.
The results of this study will provide evidence-based medical evidence for the clinical application of biologic agents in patients with IgA nephropathy.

This paper introduced a process to prepare the carbon nanosphere (CNS)/NiCo2O4 core-shell sub-microspheres. That is: 1) CNSs were firstly prepared via a simple hydrothermal method; 2) a layer of ...NiCo2O4 precursor was coated on the CNS surface; 3) finally the composite was annealed at 350 °C for 2 hours in the air, and the CNS/NiCo2O4 core-shell sub-microspheres were obtained. This core-shell sub-microsphere was prepared with a simple, economical and environmental-friendly hydrothermal method, and was suitable for large-scale production, which expects a promising electrode candidate for high performance energy storage applications. Electrochemical experiments revealed that the composite exhibited remarkable electrochemical performances with high capacitance and desirable cycle life at high rates, such as: 1) the maximum specific capacitance was up to 1420 F/g at 1 A/g; 2) about 98.5% of the capacitance retained after 3000 charge-discharge cycles; 3) the capacitance retention was about 72% as the current density increase from 1 A/g to 10 A/g.
