Narrow-headed softshell turtles constitute a group of critically endangered freshwater turtles that belong to the family Trionychidae. Here, we determine the complete mitogenome of the Burmese ...narrow-headed softshell turtle Chitra vandijki. The length of the mitochondrial genome was 16,614 bp, composed of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes, and twelve noncoding regions. The phylogenetic analysis strongly indicated that C. vandijki is closely related to C. indica. The mitochondrial genome will contribute to the genetic research and conservation of C. vandijki in the future.
Background:
Although various effective compounds for the second- and third-line treatment of advanced or recurrent cervical cancer improved the overall survival, the optimal regimen remains ...controversial. Previous studies revealed that apatinib had extensive anti-tumor activities. However, almost all studies on apatinib in recurrent cervical cancer are non-randomized controlled trials with small sample sizes, different first-line treatments, and uncontrolled statistical analysis, which may result in a lack of effective metrics to evaluate the efficacy and safety of apatinib. Here, this meta-analysis aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of apatinib in patients with advanced or recurrent cervical cancer.
Methods:
PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases were systematically searched for relevant studies. Outcomes including overall response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and adverse events (AEs) were extracted for further analysis.
Results:
Seven studies involving 243 patients were enrolled in this meta-analysis. In terms of tumor response, the pooled ORR and DCR were 22.9% and 68.6%, respectively. With regard to survival analysis, the pooled PFS and OS were 5.19 months and 10.63 months, respectively. The most common treatment-related adverse events of apatinib were hand–foot syndrome (all grade: 39.6%, ≥grade III: 7.5%), hypertension (all grade: 34.5%, ≥grade III: 9.2%), and fatigue (all grade: 28.0%, ≥grade III: 5.1%).
Conclusions:
In summary, this meta-analysis demonstrated that apatinib has promising efficacy and safety for patients with advanced or recurrent cervical cancer.

Relaxor-type ferroelectrics show important potential in energy storage fields due to their significantly enhanced energy performance and good temperature stability compared to normal ferroelectrics. ...Here, a novel, high-performance ternary composition, (0.4−x)BiFeO3-xBi(Mg1/2Ti1/2)O3–0.6BaTiO3 (x = 0.2, 0.25, 0.3, 0.35, 0.4), was designed by compositional modulation, which displays typical relaxor characteristics. The optimum energy storage properties can be attained at x = 0.35, accompanied by energy efficiency of 84.87%, a promising energy storage density of 2.3 J/cm3 and good temperature stability of less than 10% over 20–160 °C. Moreover, the samples provide stable cycling fatigue after 105 cycles and a fast discharge time of t0.9 < 0.1 μs, indicative of promising applications in energy units.
China is facing dual challenges of air pollution and climate change. By using city-level data, we comprehensively assessed air quality and CO2 emission changes from 2015 to 2019 for 335 Chinese ...cities. We selected important regions for air pollution control and categorized all cities into different classes according to their development levels. Our novel approach revealed new insights on different patterns of changes of PM2.5, O3, and CO2 by region and city class. We found that PM2.5 concentrations decreased remarkably due to mandatory city-level reduction targets, especially in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (−27%) region. Nonetheless, O3 concentrations and CO2 emissions increased in 91% and 69% of Chinese cities, respectively. Observed CO2 emission reductions in more developed cities were mainly due to prominent energy intensity reduction and energy structure improvement. Our study indicates a lack of synergy in air pollution control and CO2 mitigation under current policies in China. To address both challenges holistically, we suggest setting mandatory city-level CO2 emission reduction targets and reinforcing clean energy and energy efficiency measures.

•City-level trends in PM2.5, O3, and CO2 were not consistent in China from 2015 to 2019.•Air quality varied by region not city class; CO2 emissions varied by city class not region.•Mandatory city-level reduction targets were effective in reducing PM2.5 concentrations.•China should set mandatory city-level CO2 emissions reduction targets based on development levels.

A novel AIE-active diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) derivative containing anthranone and para-iodophenyl units (Monomer 1) are synthesized. Due to the presence of polymerisable group, Monomer 1 can be polymerized with 2,7-diethynyl-9,9-bis6′-(N,N-diethylamino)-octylfluorene to yield corresponding neutral polymer N1, where AIE-acitve DPP and ACQ-active fluorene units are linked together with a flexible alkyl spacer in main chain. N1 is transformed to its polyelectrolyte P1via ionization by CH3I. P1 emits purple fluorescence with two emission peaks at 440 and 625nm in DMSO and is AIE-inactive due to its amphiphilic performance and the presence of ACQ-active fluorene unit. A fluorescence turn-on probe for bovine serum albumin (BSA) detection and quantification is developed by taking advantage of the deaggregating process of P1. It is found that the fluorescence intensity of P1 in DMSO/PBS buffer (v/v=1/1) at 450 and 645nm is increased by 2.94 and 2.11-fold when the concentration of BSA increased from 0 to 70μM. In addition, P1 can be utilized as a fluorescent probe for cellular imaging of HeLa cells, where red fluorescence is observed in the cytoplasm. The CCK-8 assay shows that the cytotoxicity of P1 is low.
The task of traffic line detection is a fundamental yet challenging problem in computer vision. Previous traffic line segmentation models either tend to increase the network depth to enhance the ...representation ability to achieve high accuracy, or tend to reduce the number of model layers or hyper-parameters to achieve real-time efficiency, but how to trade off high accuracy and low inference time is still challenging. In this paper, we propose a reinforced attention method (RAM) to increase the saliency of traffic lines in feature abstraction, using RAM to optimize the model can achieve better traffic line detection accuracy without increasing inference time. In the RAM processing, we define the line to context contrast weight (LCCW) to represent the traffic line saliency in the feature map, which can be calculated by the ratio of the traffic line energy to the total feature energy. After LCCW calculation, we add a RAM loss item to the total loss in backward processing, and then retrain the model to obtain the new parameter weights. To validate RAM on real-time traffic line detection models, we applied RAM to seven popular real-time models and evaluate them on two popular traffic line detection benchmarks (CULane and TuSimple). Experimental results show that RAM can increase line detection accuracy by 1–2% on the CULane and TuSimple benchmarks, and the ERFNet and CGNet almost reach state-of-the-art performance after the models are optimized by RAM. The results also show that RAM can be applied to the optimization of almost all encoder–decoder-based models, and the optimized models are more robust to occlusion and extreme lighting conditions.
Peach shoot blight (PSB), caused by
, is a serious threat to the healthy development of the peach industry and leads to 30 to 50% damage to peach production in southern China. In this study, ...loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) technology was used to detect the
target of a gene of GME6801 that was unique in the whole genome of the pathogen compared with that of
(
)
TWH P74,
PH-1,
SMCG1 and
70-15. Blast comparison of this gene sequence in NCBI database showed that no homologous sequences were found. Therefore, the gene sequence of GME6801 was used to design two pairs of LAMP primers and one pair of PCR primers. The results showed that both primer sets were specific to the 15 strains of
, and the other 15 fungal strains presented negative reactions, similar to the control. In addition, 50 pg of genomic DNA of
in a 25-μl reaction system could be detected by LAMP assay, which was 100 times more sensitive than PCR. Furthermore, the GME6801 LAMP assay was used to detect artificially inoculated twigs of the pathogen, disease twigs within significantly symptomatic PSB in the fields, and healthy twigs in the same orchard, with detection rates of 100, 75, and 20.8%, respectively. However, detection rates of conventional PCR were separately 100, 62.5, and 16.7%. The results indicated that GME6801-based LAMP could be used for
detection as its specificity, sensitivity, and simplicity. This study provides a rapid experimental basis for the identification and prediction of
that causes PSB and is beneficial for precise prevention and control of the disease.
We consider a fluid stirred by the locomotions of squirmers through it and generalize the stochastic hy- drodynamic model proposed by Thiffeault and Childress, Phys. Lett. A (2010) and Lin et al., J. ...Fluid Mech. (2011) to the case in which the swimmers move in anisotropically random directions. A non-diagonal effective diffusivity tensor is derived with which the diffusive preference of a passive particle along any given direction can be computed to provide more details of the phenomena beyond scalar statistics. We further identify a fraction from the orthogonal decomposition of the drift-induced particle displacement to distinguish the underlying nonlinear mixing mechanism for different types of swimmers. Numerical simulations verify the analytical results with explicit examples of prescribed, anisotropic stirring motions. We also connect our formulation to several measures used in clinical medical research such as diffusion tensor imaging where anisotropic diffusion has a significant consequence.
