Many relationships are established among pupils in the classroom. Bullying is a complex phenomenon that requires attention and active participation of all professional workers due to its negative ...impact. The most important factor in increasing the frequency of bullying is a pupil's status. The main goal of our research is to identify the relationship between the pupil's status and the frequency in the role of bullying. The sample represents 65 pupils from two primary schools. We have distributed questionnaire, which have had contain a sociometric test and the questionnaire School Bullying Scales. When processing the data, we used descriptive statistics: Kruskal-Wallis test, Eta correlation coefficient and Cronbach coefficient of reliability. We have found that the neglected, rejected and controversial pupils were more in the role of the bystanders and the victim. The findings have shown that there is a relationship between the pupil's status and the frequency in the role of the bystanders and the victim. Our findings cannot be generalized, but they give further research guidelines with the purpose of reducing bullying.
Teachers often consider modern active teaching methods to be better suited for students who are good at learning or even for gifted students, as they assume that students with learning disabilities ...have underdeveloped metacognitive and social learning skills, that they require more time to grasp the techniques of the more advanced, technology aided teaching methods and that they cannot acquire additional knowledge at the same time. Our research focuses on pupils with learning disabilities, their attitude towards learning and teaching with the help of ICT and on motivation that arises from it. The study has shown that students with learning disabilities are confident enough in their computer skills that teachers may freely use modern teaching methods with them in primary school, as even those children are motivated and have a good attitude towards such teaching methods.
For children and their parents, starting kindergarten is an important turning point in life. In this period, it is important that parents, prior starting kindergarten, have a quality consultation ...with the kindergarten's pedagogue. With his/hers professional knowledge he/she is competent enough to carry out an education counselling interview with parents of preschool children. Through an education counselling interview, a pedagogue presents all aspects of the problem connected with the start of kindergarten, as well as the optimal way of confronting this event. Hereinafter, we present the results of the research which intention was to study the process, contents, and meaning of introductory education counselling interviews with parents. Further, we wanted to establish the pedagogues' role in Slovenian kindergartens regarding the integration of a child in kindergarten. We obtained an insight in problems that occur during pedagogues' work directly in practice and stressed proposals which could better their position. Based on the analysis of data gained by interviewing pedagogues employed in Slovenian kindergartens, we found out that the pedagogues' role regarding the integration of children in kindergartens is not well known yet.
The paper presents a study conducted within a broader scientific project named Contemporary approaches to the teaching methodology of mathematical education in early childhood. The theoretical ...background is based on the assumption that a family context in which children grow up can influence the early maths development and knowledge that they bring into an educational system. This survey, conducted on the sample of 250 parents of six-year-old children who attended a public preschool institution in Banja Luka, was presented in the article. The study correlates the children’s home activities with factors connected to the socio-economic status of their respective families (parents’ education, income, and profession and possession of toys and playing materials at home). Although the survey results partially confirm the hypotheses, some implications for both mutual impacts and interconnection of the preschool curriculum, as a vision of early childhood mathematical education experts, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, family environment, offering initial support for children’s mathematical development, can be set.
Važne odrednice kvalitete obrazovne ustanove jesu učitelji i kvaliteta njihovih radnih zadataka. Zahtjevi koji se postavljaju pred učitelje u 21. stoljeću postaju sve raznovrsniji i zahtijevaju širok ...raspon vještina u različitim područjima rada. Ciljevi su ovoga rada pregledom i analizom dostupne literature pružiti uvid u aktualna znanja o kompetencijama učitelja/nastavnika, ukazati na njihovu važnost, objediniti i prikazati rezultate istraživanja čiji su se autori bavili kompetencijama nastavnika te pokušati dati teorijsku i kritičku analizu, s posebnim naglaskom na pedagoške kompetencije. Pregledom literature koja se bavi problematikom učiteljskih kompetencija pokušali smo ukazati na njihovu važnost, razviti teorijske temelje i analizirati dosadašnja istraživanja kako bismo odgovorili na različita istraživačka pitanja. Proučavanje problematike pedagoških kompetencija pokazuje da su one u fokusu interesiranja pedagoga, a analiza ukazuje na posebnost u svakome pojedinom istraživanju te može koristiti i u budućim operacionalizacijama pedagoške kompetencije. Kompetentnost učitelja/nastavnika promatramo kao preduvjet održiva razvoja o kojemu ovisi perspektiva odgojno-obrazovne prakse u futurološkome smislu, a rad daje skroman doprinos popularizaciji ove problematike.
Qualitative research involving 36 students of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Banja Luka and the Faculty of Education of the University of Primorska was conducted in 2020 with the aim ...of examining the elements of university teaching methodology in the context of students’ situational learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. An introspective written interview was applied in the study, based on the assumptions of developmental research and an interpretive approach. By applying a thematic content analysis, three interrelated categories were identified (an emotional component of the teaching methodology approach; students’ engagement and the teaching methodology elements in the context of the wider community; the teaching methodology elements in the students’ literary activities), with the emotional component as the most dominant. Research results point to the need of focusing more attention to the emotional dimension of the students’ learning process, as well as their willingness to act in the community by taking on a more active role within the contextualized and constructivist-based university teaching methodology model.Key words: contextualized teaching; COVID-19; preschool teachers’ competencies; situational learning; therapeutic fairy tales for children. --- Kvalitativno istraživanje u kojem je sudjelovalo 36 studenata Filozofskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Banjoj Luci i Pedagoškog fakulteta Sveučilišta Primorska provedeno je 2020. godine, a cilj mu je bio ispitati metodičke elemente nastave u kontekstu situacijskoga učenja studenata tijekom pandemije COVID 19. U studiji, zasnovanoj na idejama o razvojnim istraživanjima i na interpretativnom pristupu, primijenjen je introspektivni pisani intervju i putem tematske analize sadržaja izdvojene su tri ključne, međusobno povezane kategorije (emocionalna komponenta metodičkoga pristupa, angažman studenata i metodički elementi u kontekstu šire zajednice; metodički elementi u književnim aktivnostima studenata), od kojih se emocionalna komponenta prikazala najdominantnijom. Implikacije istraživanja ukazuju na potrebu da se više pozornosti posveti emocionalnoj dimenziji procesa učenja studenata, kao i njihovoj potrebi za djelovanjem u zajednici preuzimajući aktivniju ulogu uz pomoć kontekstualiziranoga, konstruktivističkoga metodičkoga modela sveučilišne nastave.Ključne riječi: COVID 19; kompetencije odgajatelja; kontekstualizirana nastava; situacijsko učenje; terapijske bajke za djecu.
The authors of this article analysed the importance of recognizing roles in team work experience for work experience quality work between preschool teachers and teachers in preschools and schools. ...Teamwork is a complex area, which includes communication, collaboration, and reacting to stressful situations. Accordingly, it is absolutely necessary for preschool teachers and primary school teachers to have good communication skills, management of potential conflict situations, approaches to identification and management of different work situations, as well as approaches to coping with stress and working with different people. The purpose of the empirical study was therefore to analyse and compare different roles in teamwork at preschool (between preschool teacher and her assistant) and primary school, especially in first grade, where the teacher and preschool teacher work together in the classroom. During the empirical research, conducted on a population of preschool teachers and teachers in the first grade of primary school (sample size was 140), the authors found that all different roles appear as important and more or less equal; maybe some more preschool teachers and teacher seem to take on the role of team worker or implementer The authors did not observe important statistical differences considering work experience or level of education, but there are, as expected, differences considering work position.
