Three letters written by William Carlos Williams are presented. The first letter is dated Jan 7, 1957, and is addressed to Clarence Decker, where Williams acknowledges the receipt of Decker's ...previous letter, while also manifesting a quantity of original prose that he wants to be published. Meanwhile, the second letter is addressed to Charles Angoff, where Williams expresses his appreciation to Angoff's distinction given in the Fairleigh Dickinson Literary Review even before he (Williams) has started to read it. Finally, the third letter is addressed again to Decker, and contains Williams' optimistic expectations regarding the worthiness of the first issue of the Literary Review.
