Fuel reduction treatments are especially urgent near houses, where a wildfire may also endanger property and human lives. A minimum defensible space must be created, enabling fire-fighters to operate ...safely and effectively. However, the forested properties associated with houses are often too small for a cost-effective fuel treatment, performed with traditional methods and equipment. The solution may be a small rubber-tracked skid-steer base machine specially modified for forestry operations; the machine can provide all the functions of a complete harvesting system, since the base tractor can alternatively carry a feller-buncher saw, a tree processor head, a brush cutting head or a log-grapple. All the equipment can be transported on a trailer pulled by a heavy pick-up truck, which makes for fast, economical moving between sites. Similarly, conversion into final products can be obtained with a portable sawmill, so that the owner can use the wood for its own needs and avoid the obligation of presenting a costly harvesting plan
I trattamenti per la riduzione dei combustibili sono particolarmente urgenti presso le abitazioni, dove un incendio boschivo può minacciare la proprietà e le vite umane. Deve essere creata una fascia minima di rispetto, che consenta ai vigili del fuoco di operare efficacemente e in condizioni di sicurezza. Tuttavia, le proprietà forestali associate ad abitazioni sono spesso troppo piccole per sopportare i costi del trattamento dei combustibili effettuato con metodi e attrezzature tradizionali. La soluzione può essere costituita da una piccola pala a cingoli gommati modificata specificamente per le operazioni forestali; la macchina può svolgere tutte le funzioni di un sistema di raccolta completo, dato che la motrice di base può montare alternativamente un´abbattitrice a sega circolare, un processore, un decespugliatore a coltelli o una pinza da esbosco. Tutta l´attrezzatura può essere trasportata su un rimorchio trainato da un pick-up pesante, che consente una mobilità rapida ed economica. Allo stesso modo, la conversione in prodotti finali può essere effettuata mediante una segheria volante, cosicché il proprietario può utilizzare il legname per le proprie necessità ed evitare l´obbligo della presentazione di un costoso piano di taglio.
The paper shows the results of an experiment directed to verify the applicability of the GC data processing criterion proposed by the EC Regulation 213/2001 for the identification and detection of ...small quantities of foreign fats in milk fat. The results demonstrate that the addition of quantities of the order of about 1-2 of various fats to the butter is not detectable by the analysis of triglycerides. The operative conditions adopted are the ones proposed by Tateo and Bononi (2003) in a previous paper aimed at improving the operative conditions suggested by the reference method
La nota presentata mostra i risultati di una sperimentazione GC condotta al fine di verificare l'applicabilità dei criteri di elaborazione dei dati suggerita nel metodo di riferimento CE per la identificazione e determinazione dei grassi estranei nel grasso di latte. I risultati dimostrano come quantità dell'ordine dell'1-2% di grassi estranei al burro risultano non sempre rilevabili attraverso l'analisi dei trigliceridi. Le condizioni operative adottate sono quelle proposte da Tateo e Bononi (2003) in un precedente lavoro mirato all'ottimizzazione delle condizioni operative suggerite dal metodo di riferimento

Dagli anni '80, la lotta agli incendi boschivi ha compiuto grandi passi in avanti. La superficie boscata media per incendio è notevolmente diminuita grazie alla prevenzione e alla pianificazione. Lo spegnimento degli incendi in campo rimane, comunque, una fase determinante della lotta, anche grazie alle attrezzature manuali, descritte in dettaglio in questo articolo.
Der Beurteilungsmaßstab des „ebenso effizienten Wettbewerbers“ hat nicht zuletzt im Rahmen des „more economic approach“ große praktische Bedeutung für das Behinderungsmissbrauchsverbot erlangt. Die ...Arbeit geht auf die historischen und ökonomischen Hintergründe des Maßstabs ein, untersucht seine Anwendungsgeschichte und gibt auf dieser Grundlage eine kritische Bewertung ab. Die Arbeit ist rechtsvergleichend und stark interdisziplinär ausgerichtet, wobei sie einen bedeutenden Beitrag zum kontroversen Fragenkomplex leistet, wie Erkenntnisse der Industrieökonomik angesichts vielfältiger Beschränkungen in einen praktikablen Rechtsrahmen gegossen werden können. Sie vergrößert die Klarheit bei der Auslegung des anspruchsvollen Behinderungsmissbrauchsverbots, indem sie wichtige Hilfestellungen für die Anwendung des „ebenso effizienter Wettbewerber“-Tests leistet. Die Arbeit richtet sich demzufolge gleichermaßen an ein wissenschaftliches wie auch praktizierendes Publikum.
Das Buch behandelt die Haftung der Intermediäre aus der Sicht des Internationalen Privat und Zivilverfahrensrechts. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Frage, welches Recht bei grenzüberschreitenden ...Sachverhalten, wie sie typischerweise im Internet entstehen, über die Haftung des Intermediärs, der eine Immaterialgüterrechtsverletzung durch Bereitstellen einer Plattform oder eines Zugangsdienstes ermöglicht, entscheidet. Ausgehend von den Vorgaben des immaterialgüterrechtlichen Territorialitätsprinzip und der darauf aufbauenden Schutzlandanknüpfung sowie deren Grenzen, den Vorgaben des Unionsrechts und der materiellrechtlichen Ausgestaltung verschiedener Formen der Haftung für die Ermöglichung von Immaterialgüterrechtsverletzungen im deutschen, französischen und US-amerikanischen Recht wird für die Haftung der Intermediäre eine eigenständige kollisionsrechtliche Anknüpfung befürwortet, die zur Anwendung eines vorhersehbaren Rechts führt.
