While it is true that Eric Kripke's Supernatural deals with White hegemonic masculinity and features damsels in distress and dangerous others (Bennett), these do not overlap entirely with the ...misogyny and xenophobia typical of the time period. The repeated associations of John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) with the yellow-eyed demon Azazel (Fredric Lehne) displace danger, moving it from the backyard into the house. In doing so, the show ascribes new meanings to the darkness that threatens the peacefulness of everyday life. By presenting the manly American hero as the villain, Kripke shifts his attention to the downside of the "manly virtues" and of the "anxious preoccupations with affirming manhood" implemented at the beginning of the new millennium. Here, Caterino discusses the depiction of Hell and the journey of Dean Winchester in Supernatural.

...if it be the pleasure of Him through whom all things live that my life continue for a few more years, I hope to write of her that which has never been written of any other woman. Virgin mother, ...daughter of your son, More humble and more high than other creatures, The constant goal of the eternal plan, You are the one who so raised human nature That your Creator did not hesitate To be created in your mortal flesh, And in your womb was gathered all the love, The warmth of which fills our eternal peace And nourishes this flower as it grows. For us in heaven you are the bright sun Of charity at noon and to the living You are the running fountain of their faith. Paolo and Francesca embraced unbridled feeling, and their fate is not the light and peace of God's love, but what Dante calls the "contrapasso" (the resulting suffering)-a perpetual whirlwind of raw emotion.
A well-known aphorism of the philosopher Rudolf Steiner, father of Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy, states that «teaching is not only a distantflow of information, but a warm relationship between two human ...beings, in which one is thirsty for knowledge and the other one is devoted to transmitting all his human and intellectualexperience». The expression «heating with its fire the deaf matter» is an ideal starting point to reflect on the book edited by Emilio Faroldi and Maria Pilar Vettori: not a tedious anthology, but a collection of authorial essays by "magisters" of architecture. The volume includes the contribution of fifteen authors, who have been able to leave "signs" to those who approach the art of Vitruvius. The articulated and rich reflection is presented in three different languages - Italian, English, Spanish - refl ecting the cognitive process that leads the transmission of knowledge: hybridized and contaminated, revealing cultural assonances and divergences among the authors.
Alister McGrath has undoubtedly made an impressive contribution to educate people in science and religion, but what are the secrets of his success? In this article, drawn from studies of his ...publications and a personal interview, I highlight the priority he gives to clarity, his second‐personal pedagogy, his non‐partisan trustworthiness, his encouragement of diversity, and his gentle, spell‐breaking humor. For all his achievements in clearing intellectual space for revelation, McGrath has, however, tended to focus much more on science in relation to natural theology than revelation. Due to this focus, I tend to classify him as a John Bunyan rather than a Dante Alighieri. Hence, McGrath, who has achieved so much in educating people in science and religion, has also left plenty of opportunities for future generations to expand on his research.
