This paper analyzes the political aspects of education according to the philosophical considerations of Alain Badiou and Jacques Rancière. To do this, raises, one hand, address the ontological characteristics of politics, and secondly, examine the problem of multiple senses given by various theoretical prospects to concepts of "equality" and "justice" in education. O texto busca questionar a posição do filósofo Badiou quando ele afirma que a ontologia é as matemáticas. Badiou parte de uma concepção de que teríamos duas vozes sobre o ser. Por um lado, poderíamos ...pensar como Heidegger: para se fazer uma ontologia seria preciso buscar a essência da linguagem; por outro, poderíamos pensar como Badiou que concebe as matemáticas sendo a própria ontologia. O texto não pretende desenvolver a concepção de Badiou, mas questioná-la. Para isso, busco retomar o pensamento heideggeriano e mostrar como sua concepção parte de um questionamento sobre o espírito matemático ao contrário de Badiou que assume como verdadeiro o axioma: "matemáticas = ontologia". Palavras-chave: Ontologia; Matemáticas; Técnica; Linguagem; Verdade. The text aims to question the position of the philosopher Badiou when he asserts that ontology is mathematics. Badiou admits of a conception that there would be two voices of being. On the one hand, one might think as Heidegger does: to compose an ontology it would be necessary to seek the essence of language; on the other, one might conceive mathematics as Badiou does: as ontology itself. The text does not intend to develop Badiou's conception, but to question it. Towards that end, I seek to revisit Heidegger's thought and to show how his conception is to inquire into the mathematical spirit unlike Badiou, who assumes the following axiom to be true: "mathematics = ontology". The article aims to develop the theory of the various subjective forms of Alain Badiou and reconstruct it for the specific case of education. For this, he addresses the experience of Joseph Jacotot, proposed by Jacques Rancière, along with other alternative education initiatives linked to the concept of "intellectual emancipation". It describes the process of unfolding an event in education and the constitution of a faithful, reactive and obscure subject. Finally, it characterizes various qualities of a collective body for the educational universe. The present paper offers an analysis of two periods in the development of the concept of singularity in Alain Badiou’s philosophy. 1) In Theory of the Subject, published in 1982, he opposes himself ...to structuralist tendencies in French Marxism by trying to think that which substracts itself from any structure. 2) In Being and Event, in 1988, he tries to make singularity compatible with a general ontology. The article concludes, after examining the coherence of the concept as well as its aptitude to do the work for which it was designed, that it is in the first period that Badiou can serve as a guide towards a theory of the singular, since he presented then some of the concepts necessary to think that which is over and above any structure.
