The death of Princess Diana unleashed an international outpouring of grief, love, and press attention virtually unprecedented in history. Yet the exhaustive effort to link an upper class white ...British woman with "the people" raises questions. What narrative of white femininity transformed Diana into a simultaneous signifier of a national and global popular? What ideologies did the narrative tap into to transform her into an idealized woman of the millennium? Why would a similar idealization not have appeared around a non-white, non-Western, or immigrant woman? Raka Shome investigates the factors that led to this defining cultural/political moment and unravels just what the Diana phenomenon represented for comprehending the relation between white femininity and the nation in postcolonial Britain and its connection to other white female celebrity figures in the millennium. Digging into the media and cultural artifacts that circulated in the wake of Diana's death, Shome investigates a range of salient theoretical issues surrounding motherhood and the production of national masculinities, global humanitarianism, transnational masculinities, the intersection of fashion and white femininity with each other and national modernity. Her analysis explores how images of white femininity in popular culture intersect with issues of race, gender, class, sexuality, and transnationality. Moving from ideas on the positioning of privileged white women in global neoliberalism to the emergence of new formations of white femininity in the millennium, Diana and Beyond fearlessly explains the late princess's never-ending renaissance and ongoing cultural relevance.

Introducción: La hipertensión arterial constituye un factor determinante del daño que se produce en órganos y sistemas, conocidas como daño de órganos diana. Su elevada frecuencia incrementa la ...probabilidad de desarrollar una enfermedad cardiaca, cerebral, renal, retiniana y vascular periférica, la cuales constituyen importantes causas de morbilidad y mortalidad en la mayoría de los países. Objetivo: Identificar la proporción de daño de órganos diana en los 150 pacientes hipertensos mayores de 18 años de nuestro consultorio. Metodos: Se realizó una investigación observacional de tipo transversal en 150 hipertensos mayores de 18 años del consultorio 40 de la Policlínica “Manuel Fajardo” entre julio y diciembre del 2021; a través del interrogatorio, la fondoscopia, el examen de los pulsos periféricos, y la realización a cada hipertenso de creatinina, electrocardiograma y ecocardiograma se determinó el daño de órganos diana existente. Resultados: La retinopatía estuvo presente en 54,6% de los casos, seguida por el daño cardiaco (46,6%), predominando ambas en el grupo de más de 5 años de evolución de la enfermedad (p<0,05), las manifestaciones menos frecuentes fueron la insuficiencia renal crónica (14,6%), la enfermedad cerebrovascular (5,3%), y la insuficiencia vascular arterial periférica (4,0%). Conclusiones: Es importante la proporción de hipertensos con daño de órganos diana, al parecer como consecuencia de un inadecuado control y mayor tiempo de evolución de la enfermedad hipertensiva, recomendándose incrementar la pesquisa de la morbilidad oculta de la enfermedad y sus complicaciones para evitar, atenuar o retardar las temibles complicaciones de la hipertensión arterial.
Hypertension mediated organ damage (HMOD) refers to structural or functional changes in arteries or target organs that can be present in long-standing hypertension, but it can be also found in naïve ...never treated patients. Traditionally, cardiovascular risk is stratified with charts or calculators that tend to underestimate the real cardiovascular risk. The diagnosis of HMOD automatically reclassifies patients to the highest level of cardiovascular risk. Subclinical HMOD can be present already at the diagnosis of hypertension and more than 25% of hypertensives are misclassified with the routine tests recommended by hypertension guidelines. Whether HMOD regression improves cardiovascular outcomes has never been investigated in randomized clinical trials and remains controversial. However, different drugs have been probed with promising results in high cardiovascular risk patients, such as the new antidiabetic or the novel non-steroid mineralocorticoid antagonists. Accordingly, trials have shown that lowering blood pressure reduces cardiovascular events. In this narrative review, we will discuss the role of HMOD in cardiovascular risk stratification, the different types of organ damage, and the evidence available to define whether HMOD can be used as a therapeutic target. Resumen: El daño orgánico mediado por hipertensión (HMOD) se refiere a cambios estructurales o funcionales de larga duración en las arterias u órganos diana de la hipertensión, pero también se puede encontrar en pacientes que nunca han recibido tratamiento antihipertensivo previo. Tradicionalmente, el riesgo cardiovascular se ha estratificado utilizando tablas, calculadoras o algoritmos que tienden a subestimar el riesgo cardiovascular real. El diagnóstico del HMOD reclasifica automáticamente a los pacientes al nivel más alto de riesgo cardiovascular. El HMOD subclínico ya puede estar presente en el momento del diagnóstico de hipertensión y más del 25% de los hipertensos están mal clasificados con las pruebas de rutina recomendadas por las guías de hipertensión. Sin embargo, si la regresión del HMOD mejora los resultados cardiovasculares no suele ser un objeto de investigación en ensayos clínicos aleatorizados y sigue siendo un aspecto controvertido. A pesar de ello, se han probado diferentes fármacos con resultados prometedores en pacientes de alto riesgo cardiovascular, como los nuevos antidiabéticos o los nuevos antagonistas de mineralocorticoides no esteroides. De hecho, diferentes estudios han demostrado que bajar la presión arterial reduce los eventos cardiovasculares. En esta revisión narrativa, se discutirá el papel del HMOD en la estratificación del riesgo cardiovascular, los diferentes tipos de daño orgánico y la evidencia disponible para definir si HMOD puede usarse como un objetivo terapéutico.
RESUMEN: El artículo indaga acerca de las circunstancias históricas, editoriales y literarias que propiciaron la elaboración de una versión ‘pastoril’ de El Abencerraje para su interpolación al final ...del libro IV de La Diana de Jorge de Montemayor. Tras analizar la incorporación del relato morisco a la secuencia editorial del texto pastoril, su génesis literaria, los mecanismos de composición y su función en la estructura de La Diana, el trabajo ofrece una hipótesis razonada acerca de lo sucedido que justificaría la preparación de una nueva edición crítica conjunta de ambas obras. ABSTRACT: This article explores the historical, editorial and literary circumstances that propitiated the elaboration of a ‘pastoral’ version of El Abencerraje for its interpolation at the end of Book IV of La Diana by Jorge de Montemayor. After analysing the incorporation of the Moorish tale into the editorial sequence of the pastoral text, its literary genesis, the mechanisms of composition and its function in the structure of La Diana, the work offers a reasoned hypothesis about what happened that would justify the preparation of a new critical edition of both works.

On the other hand, Neutrosophy is an extension of fuzzy logic and serves as a model of uncertainty. In addition to the truth (T) and falsity (F) elements of fuzzy logic, single-valued Neutrosophic sets (SVNs) logic estimates the proportion of indeterminacy (I) for a given proposition. In this work, we propose a Neutrosophic Logic-based DIANA Clustering algorithm. Indeterminacy is added to the DIANA hierarchical clustering algorithm using single-valued Neutrosophic sets (SVNs). The suggested algorithm is named Neutro-DIANA (Neutrosophic DIANA) and is broken down into numerous steps. The experimental findings show that the suggested technique for dealing with indeterminacy is effective
