In order to ...perceive influence of above mentioned changes to degree of flood protection in future contemporary approach to investigation of alluvial streams morphological characteristics are carried out, which include methods of mathematical statistics, probability theory and random processes.
Впервые приведено описание технологии выращивания жизнестойкой молоди во временном рыбоводном комплексе вблизи нерестилищ в бассейне р. Енисей, разработанной в НИИ экологии рыбохозяйственных водоемов ...(г. Красноярск). Работы проводили на правых притоках Енисея – реках Агул и Мана – в 2010–2014 гг. Временный рыборазводный комплекс предназначен для получения и подращивания посадочного материала пресноводных видов рыб в целях их искусственного воспроизводства, проведения научных исследований в полевых условиях. В его состав входит оборудование, которое позволяет совершать весь комплекс рыбоводных процессов в автономном режиме. Выявлены нерестовые температуры ленка Brachymistax lenok (Pallas, 1773) – 8,2–9,0 град. С, тайменя Hucho taimen (Pallas, 1773) – 6,8–8,6 град. С. Отработана методика прижизненного получения рыбоводной икры хариуса сибирского Thymallus arcticus (Pallas, 1776), ленка и тайменя с использованием анестезии (суспензия гвоздичного масла в дозе 0,05 мл/л воды) и возвращением рыб в естественную среду. Определены сроки инкубации икры тайменя (226-237 градусо-дней), ленка (176-182 градусо-дня), температурный режим всех рыбоводных процессов, режимы кормления этих видов. Разработаны способы очистки воды и меры профилактики грибковых и бактериальных заболеваний рыб. Выход молоди лососевых рыб составил 62-92%. Всего за 2010–2014 гг. в бассейн Енисея выпущено 869443 экз. подрощенной молоди, в том числе ленка 21677 экз., тайменя – 267123 и хариуса – 580700 экз.
A technology for growing viable juveniles in a temporary hatchery complex near the spawning areas in the Yenisei river basin is described for the first time. It has been developed at the Research Institute of Ecology of Fish Farming Ponds (Krasnoyarsk). The work was conducted on the right tributaries of the Yenisei, the Agul and Mana rivers, in 2010-2014. The temporary fish breeding complex is designed for obtaining and rearing the seeding of freshwater fish species for the purposes of artificial reproduction and field research. It has equipment, which allows conducting the entire complex of fish breeding autonomously. The novelty of this biotechnology is the technical solution of the fish breeding work, which allows obtaining viable fish juveniles at relatively small costs to stock natural water bodies. Spawning temperatures for lenok Brachymistax lenok (Pallas, 1773) - 8.2–9.0 deg. C, and taimen Hucho taimen (Pallas, 1773) - 6.8–8.6 deg. C have been identified. The technique for in vivo obtaining of spawn of Siberian grayling Thymallus arcticus (Pallas, 1776), lenok and taimen, using anesthesia (water suspension of 0.05 ml/l clove oil), and returning fish to the natural environment, has been improved. Incubation periods of taimen (226-237 day degrees) and lenok (176-182 day degrees), temperature conditions for all fish breeding processes, and feeding regimes for these species have been defined. The ways of water treatment and prevention of fungal and bacterial diseases of fish were created. The yield of juvenile salmon fishes was 62-92%. In all for 2010–2014, 869443 samples of grown-up juveniles were released to the Yenisei basin including 21677 samples of lenok, 267123 of taimen, and 580700 of Siberian grayling.

Cyprinus carpio carpio. There is evidence that the Romans were the first to culture carp collected from the Danube, and that the tradition of the “piscinae” was continued in monasteries throughout the Middle Ages. Distribution of the carp west of the Danube's piedmont zone was clearly caused by humans, as was the introduction throughout the continents. Some domestication in China may have been independent of similar activities in Europe, but most of the modern-day activities with the common carp in far east Asia are restricted to the domesticated carp imported from Europe, or at best to hybrids of local and imported strains. The xanthic (red) common carp seem to have first appeared in early cultures of Europe, China and Japan but reached their fame through recent artificial selection of multicolored aberrants in the Niigata Prefecture of Japan. The production of the colored carp — the Japanese “nishikigoi” — presently exceeds in monetary value the production of carp as human food. The nishikigoi as “swimming flowers” delight modern people as much as the taste of carp delighted the Romans at the beginning of carp domestication.

One of the requirements imposed by the Water Framework Directive (WFD, 2000/60/EC) is to analyze and predict how quality of surface waters will evolve in the future. In assessing the development of a ...streams pollution one must consider all sources of pollution and understand how water quality evolves over time. Flow and water temperature regime of a stream or river are the main factors controlling the extent to which deterioration of a streams water quality can propagate under constant input from pollution sources. In addition, there is ever increasing public concern about the state of the aquatic environment. Decision makers and scientists involved in water management call for studies proposing simulation models of water quality under extreme natural hydrologic and climatic scenarios. Also, human impact on water resources remains an issue for discussion, especially when it comes to sustainability of water resources with respect to water quality and ecosystem health. In the present study we investigate the long-term trends in water quality variables of the Danube River at Bratislava, Slovakia (Chl–a, Ca, EC, SO42, Cl-, O2, BOD5, N-tot, PO4-P, NO3-N, NO2-N, etc.), for the period 1991–2005. Several SARIMA models were tested for the long-term prediction of selected pollutant concentrations under various flow and water temperature conditions. In order to create scenarios of selected water quality variables with prediction for 12 months ahead, three types of possible hydrologic and water temperature conditions were defined: i) average conditions – median flows and water temperature; ii) low flows and high water temperature; and iii) high flows and low water temperature. These conditions were derived for each month using daily observations of water temperature and daily discharge readings taken in the Danube at Bratislava over the period 1931–2005 in the form of percentiles (1th-percentile, median, 99th-percentile). Once having derived these extreme-case scenarios, we used selected Box-Jenkins models (with two regressors – discharge and water temperature) to simulate the extreme monthly water quality variables. The impact of natural and man-made changes in a streams hydrology on water quality can be readily well simulated by means of autoregressive models.
We measured faecal cortisol metabolites of a free-ranging riparian population of red deer to investigate potential effects of season, ambient temperature, precipitations and water level on the annual ...secretion pattern. Individuals may cope with environmental challenges through the secretion of stress hormones (glucocorticoids) which allows the integration of environmental change and life history traits by means of an adaptive feedback mechanism. Adaptations regard cyclic day-to-day activities, short-term environmental stressors or long-term ecological pressures. We detected a clear seasonal pattern of glucocorticoid metabolites secretion, with higher levels in winter and lower levels in summer. The model relating glucocorticoids secretion to minimum ambient temperature was the best fit to our dataset, although the observed pattern might as well be due to declining nutritional intake and reduction of metabolic rate in the cold season. We observed an improvement of the fit when stochastic events (flash flood) were included in the model, and discussed their role as potential contingent environmental stressors.
The spectral decomposition theorem has been applied for searching the solar activity influence to Danube river flow on a station (Bezdan, Yugoslavia). According to cross-correlations a seven year lag ...has been found between solar umbrae total areas and maximal river flow. Chi-square test has been applied for obtained results signification.
