In the preface to his Strategikos, Onasander identifies the potential readership of his work, besides the addressee Quintus Veranius (cos. 49 CE) : the senators and ταῖς τε ὑπάτοις καὶ στρατηγικαῖς ...ἐξουσίαις κοσμουμένοις (pref. 1). These words are usually understood as a generic reference “ to those who are rewarded by the authority of consul and general”. Actually, some philological and historical clues reveal that Onasander is more concerned with the Roman administrative lexicon than we would expect. Indeed, Onasander’s addressees were probably senators, and specifically consuls and magistrates cum imperio.
49 apr. J.-C.), Onasandre définit les autres destinataires potentiels de l’ouvrage : les sénateurs et ταῖς τε ὑπάτοις καὶ στρατηγικαῖς ἐξουσίαις κοσμουμένοις (proême 1).

The Instituto Superior del Profesorado “Joaquín V. González” is a state teacher training institution, located in the City of Buenos Aires. In spite of its symbolic value and of the large number of ...students, the institution represented a rather secondary target for the repression executed by the last Argentinian military dictatorship. If we take into account the national educational community was one of the most attacked by the state terrorism, the experience of the Profesorado turns out to be remarkable. This article goes through the bibliography written about it and provides new elements to analyse the problem: the institutional identity of the Profesorado and the social representations related to being a teacher in Argentina.
The present study sets out the implementation of Lex Specialis in Sports Jurisdiction. It presents an introduction to Sports Law and the rules of Lex Sportiva and Lex Olympica. Following the ...introduction, this paper presents the concept of Sports Jurisdiction and the competence of the Sport Arbitral Bodies to rule on the constitutionality of the law. Furthermore, this study focuses on the necessity for the establishment of an International Sports Constitutional Charter with special rules for international sports activities and the establishment of a special International Sports Court. Finally, is investigated the application of the Lex Specialis Derogat Legi Generali Principle in Sports Law. In particular, this study points out that Special rules of sports law prevail over ordinary rules of law, according to the general principle of law Lex Specialis Derogat Legi Generali. It is highlighted that Sports Law is not a subcategory of international law, as International Sports Law, but a different kind of law, Lex Sportiva/Olympica. Lex Sportiva/ Olympica is an international “unethnical” law, which exists in parallel to the international law. It constitutes a sui generis sports law legal order, imposed heteronomously on the sporting world by various international organizations.
The Magazzini Generali, created on the model of the British docks and of the French magasins generaux--and regulated by an Act of 1871--became widespread in major Italian cities, with varying ...success: common purpose was to provide for the custody of the goods, issuing special bonds trade, and to facilitate the meeting between producer and buyer, reducing the time of negotiation.
This paper shows how the geometry of one of Robert Maillart's most intriguing projects, the Chiasso Shed, was created using graphics. Originating in the sixteenth century, graphic vectorial ...equilibrium has been used for studying a wide variety of structural problems. Among other things, it allows a form to be adjusted so that it only encounters axial loads while guaranteeing equilibrium. Here, we see that the general appearance of the structure was determined with reference to a uniformly distributed load, and then concrete was placed along force trajectories. Maillart allowed for some geometric inaccuracies remaining with regard to the way he designed asymmetric loadings to be supported by stiffening members. In so doing, emphasis is placed on efficient axial forces, similar to our modern strut-and-tie approach, in the design of concrete structures.
