Abstract
In the previous article about detecting train arrivals 4, we discussed the data transmission process which is the weakness of the system. This article discusses how to overcome these ...shortcomings. Distance detection systems need to be added to devices that are more powerful and faster in transmitting data. The prototype is built based on the development of the previous prototype. The initial product is a distance detector that has a motion sensor and a data transmission module in the form of Lora 400 MHz and a GSM module. Product development includes the addition of the NodeMCU WIFI module to existing devices. System development aims to: (1) Develop a distance detection system equipped with a WIFI module; and (2) Increase the data transmission speed of the distance detection system equipped with the WIFI NodeMCU module. The implementation method uses research and development techniques 3. System development takes 6 months, with the stages of completion being system requirements analysis, hardware, and software design, system prototyping, and tool testing. Checklist data and delivery time are used as test data. Furthermore, the data is analyzed quantitatively to determine the achievement of results according to predetermined indicators. The device is equipped with a GPS module, a Lora-R02 receiver and transmitter module, and a Nodemcu ESP8266 module as a replacement for the 900A SIM module which transmits data faster. When the device is being tested, all the sensors of the tool work well at range of 125 meters (previously less than 100 meters). While the Lora module can react when the object has reached a distance of 300 meters. Data transmission previously using GSM modules took 10-13 seconds. After using the WIFI module, data transmission only takes 1-3 seconds.
In this article, a novel and an efficient methodology is presented for real-time monitoring of ECG signals. The method involves fast Fourier transform (FFT) based discrete wavelet transform (DWT) for ...extracting the features from the heartbeats which involves less computational complexity in terms of additions and multiplications operations for higher order filter lengths. These features extracted are recognized using particle swarm optimization (PSO) tuned twin support vector machines (TSVM) classifier. The TSVM classifier is four times faster than the standard SVM while the PSO technique is employed to gradually tune the classifier parameters to achieve more accuracy. The proposed methodology is implemented on IoT based microcontroller platform and validated on the benchmark Physionet data to classify 16 categories of ECG signals. Once an abnormality is detected, the platform generates a pop-up message as a warning and sends the information to a remote platform allowing hospitals to take preventive measures. The platform reported a higher overall accuracy of 95.68% than the existing studies. Further, such implementation can be utilized as a warning system in both homecare as well as tele-monitoring applications to continuously monitor the cardiac condition of a subject anywhere to the state-of-art heart disease diagnosis.
The purpose of this study was to create a wifi module-based training tool to be used in a special training such as reaction training to increase reaction especially in passing technique in basketball ...games. The method used in this study was research and development method. The samples of this study were students who were the members of UPI men's basketball team. The results indicate that the wifi module-based training tool is appropriate and there is an increase of reaction scores from the pre-test to post-test with the significance value of 0,000 0.05. Therefore, this training tool can be used for periodic reaction training. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk terciptanya sebuah media latihan berbasis modul wifi untuk digunakan dalam pelatihan khusus seperti pelatihan reaction sehingga dapat menghasilkan peningkatan reaction terutama dalam teknik passing pada cabang olahraga bola basket. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian research and development. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam tim putra basket UPI. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media latihan berbasis modul wifi telah layak digunakan dan terdapatnya peningkatan dari skor pretest dan posttest pada pelatihan reaction dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 0,05. Selanjutnya media latihan ini dapat digunakan untuk pelatihan reaction secara berkala.

This design is mainly realized by combining IOT communication technology, sensor technology, and microcontroller technology. STM32 microcontroller acts as the system's central processing unit and receives real-time information on gas concentration, smoke concentration, pipe wall pressure, and water level collected by various sensors, then displays the data on the LED display after data processing. When the environmental data exceeds the standard, it will automatically drive and adjust the water pumps and fans and simultaneously move the WiFi module to remotely send the data to the mobile phone APP through the Internet cloud server. The article introduces a novel strategy for efficiently mitigating COVID-19 distribution at the local level due to contact with any surfaces. Our project aims to be a critical safety shield for the ...general people in the fight against the epidemic. An ultrasonic sensor is integrated with the automated doorbell system to ring the doorbell with a hand motion. A temperature sensor Mlx90614 is also included in the system, which records the temperature of the person standing in front of the door. The device also includes a camera module that captures the image of the person standing at the front entrance. The captured image is processed through an ML model which runs at over 30 fps to detect whether or not the person is wearing a mask. The image and the temperature of the person standing outside are sent to the owner through the configured iOS application. If the person outside is wearing a mask, one can open the door through the app itself and permit the entry of the person standing outside thereby integrating the edge device with an app for a better user experience. The system helps in reducing physical contact, and the results obtained are at par with the already existing solutions and provide a few advantages over them.
