The paper presents the construction and operation of a cave information system on the example of the Postojnska jama cave. It thoroughly describes the construction of the basic modules of the cave ...information system, such as an automatic cave measuring station with sensors for measuring air temperature, air flow and CO2 concentration, and a central unit for collecting, saving, processing and displaying data. The system provides quality automatic measurements for the scientific study of the micrometeorology of karst caves. Its construction is based on good practices stemming from many years of experience in taking measurements in the external atmosphere and in karst caves. The paper is rich and comprehensive guideline for automatic cave measuring system construction for scientific and tourist management purposes.
The Royal Tombs at Songsanri have played considerable roles in the study of Baekje history since the Royal Tomb of King Muryeong was excavated, in untouched condition, in 1971. However, the stability ...of the Royal Tombs at Songsanri has been threatened by constant exposure to the external environment and infiltration by rainwater. In this study, behavioral monitoring of the walls was conducted using tilt sensors to obtain very precise data about the deformation of the structurally vulnerable walls, evaluate their behavioral characteristics and the influence of environmental changes on these behaviors, and diagnose the structural stability of the ancient tombs. In tomb no. 5, with the exception of relatively rapid behavioral changes attributed to the stabilization process of the tilt sensors, the walls remained stable. However, abnormal changes were observed at several positions in the walls of tomb no. 6 and the Royal Tomb of King Muryeong. These changes were attributed to environmental changes. Furthermore, the abnormal changes in the walls were found to coincide with increases in the soil water content due to rainfall and artificial environmental changes caused by the investigations in the tombs. These findings are expected to be useful in creating policies and designing countermeasures to preserve these historically and culturally valuable tombs.
An innovative frictional sound automatic measuring system (FSAMS) was designed and used in this study to investigate the frictional sound generated when natural-fibre woven fabrics are rubbed ...together. Frictional sound measurements made using the automatic FSAMS were compared with those from a manual frictional sound measuring system (Manual FSAMS). The frictional sounds of four natural-fiber woven fabrics (i.e., cotton, linen, silk, and wool) were recorded; the Fast Fourier Transform method was used to convert time domain signals into frequency domain signals, and the maximum sound amplitude (MSA) and level pressure of the total sound (LPTS) of cotton, linen, silk, and wool were calculated. The results of a t test, analysis of variance, data reproducibility, and cluster spectrums measured from the four natural-fiber woven fabrics were compared for the two test equipment systems. The results from the t test and analysis of variance showed significant differences in the MSA and LPTS measured. Data reproducibility was superior to the automatic FSAMS compared with the manual FSAMS, and the cluster spectrums were more readily distinguishable.

Mednje spadajo jamska merilna postaja s ...senzorji za merjenje temperature, vetra in koncentracije CO2 ter centralna enota za zbiranje, procesiranje in prikaz podatkov. Sistem zagotavlja kakovostne avtomatske meritve za znanstvene raziskave jamske mikroklíme. Zgradba sistema temelji na dolgoletnih izkušnjah iz okoljskih meritev v jamskem in zunanjem okolju. Članek je tudi priročnik za izgradnjo avtomatskih merilnih sistemov za raziskovalne namene in za podporo pri upravljanju turističnih jam.
Background:
Indirect measurements of flow rate serve to determine air consumption, leakage values and characteristics of compressed air systems (CASs).
Method:
A new method of indirect flow rate ...measurement in a pneumatic pipeline system was developed. The method enables to measure the controlled leakage in a branch line and was used to construct automatic measuring systems auditing the compressed air systems piping.
Results:
First, the leak-testing instrument LT-I 200 was designed, constructed, and tested as portable measurement device for the estimation of air leakage flow rate in pneumatic pipeline system. Next, based on the authors’ patent, the automatic measuring system for the measurement of the leakage flow rate in industrial compressed air piping was developed.
Conclusion:
The measurement device was used to estimate of the leakage flow rate and cost of the energy losses in the compressed air piping system.
Nowadays, the society has entered the digital information age, and the information contained in the image is far more than the sum of the information contained in other media. In the Internet ...industry, image processing technology can be used to quickly find the required picture information. Other applications include disaster prevention, industrial automation production lines, semiconductor, electronics, tobacco, and food industries. After the meter glyph spot image is collected, there are several spots in the image, and the corresponding pixel values are stored in memory. In order to process images, they should be distinguished and marked so that the spot has definite eigenvalues. To this end, this paper proposes an image processing method. Firstly, an image denoising method combining self-snake model and P-M model is introduced. Secondly, the recursive HOSVD dimensionality reduction algorithm based on tensor product model is used to further process the image. The center of the Hartmann aperture image is solved by the centroid of all the spots, and the center overlap algorithm for determining the centroid distance of the aperture image by the symmetry of the centroid of the spot centroid can reduce the number of calculations. The experimental results show that this method can effectively identify and process the spot of the image and greatly reduce the time complexity and computational complexity of the algorithm.
