Das neue unionale Datenschutzrecht ist, entgegen mancher Befürchtung, kein law of everything. Vielmehr müssen unterschiedliche Rechtsmaterien ineinandergreifen, um eine sachgerechte Regelungsstruktur ...im Schnittbereich von Datenschutzrecht und Privatrecht aufzubauen. Philipp Hacker bestimmt das Verhältnis dieser Rechtsmaterien, insbesondere von DS-GVO und BGB. Denn die Verschränkung unterschiedlicher Technologieformen fordert mehr denn je ein rechtsbereichsübergreifendes Verständnis von juristischer Dogmatik und ein interdisziplinär fundiertes Konzept von Regulierung. Auf Basis des geltenden Rechts entwirft er ein integriertes Marktordnungsrecht für digitale Austauschverhältnisse. Die Untersuchung schließt mit Reformperspektiven, die aufzeigen, wie die informierte Einwilligung durch eine technologische ersetzt werden kann, um eine privatautonome Gestaltung von Rechtsverhältnissen unter den Bedingungen der digitalen Wirtschaft zu ermöglichen. Die Arbeit wurde mit dem Wissenschaftspreis der Deutschen Stiftung für Recht und Informatik 2020 ausgezeichnet.
Paramphistomum and Fasciola are the most common parasite found in the gastrointestine of the cattle in the terai region of Nepal. The parasite resides in the gut and feed there, resulting in the ...nutrition deficit for the cattle. A study was conducted in Kohalpur, Banke of Nepal to study the seasonal and breed-wise prevalence of the gastrointestinal parasite in cattle. A total of 156 fecal samples were analyzed, out of which 79 samples were collected in summer and 77 samples were collected in winter. Out of total samples 108 were brought to the clinic and 48 samples were collected directly from the rumen of the cattle. Sedimentation technique for recovering the larva and egg of parasite was performed. Five slides were prepared from each sample and was observed under the microscope for eggs and larva. The result showed that the prevalence was 36.71% in the summer and it was 16.88% in the winter. The statistical relationship showed that the prevalence gastrointestinal parasite in cattle was significantly (P<0.05) higher in the summer season. Likewise, the prevalence was 11.86% in the Jersey breed and 36.08% in the Jersey cross breed. And the statistical relationship also showed that the gastrointestinal prevalence in Jersey cross breed was significantly (P<0.05) higher than Jersey breed.

Neurocysticercosis is a major cause of epilepsy in countries where Taenia solium is endemic and the parasite is a major cause of food-borne disease globally. Pigs are the natural intermediate host involved in transmission of the parasite. T. solium is known to be endemic in Nepal, however there is limited reliable data about the prevalence of the disease in Nepal. The aim of this study was to determine accurately the prevalence of porcine cysticercosis in slaughter age pigs in an area of Nepal where pigs are known to be free-roaming. Pigs were obtained from the Udaypur Village Development Committee (VDC) and Hirminiya & Betahani VDC of the Banke district in Nepal. One hundred and ten animals of slaughter age (approximately 8–16 months old) were purchased, slaughtered and the heart, liver, brain and half the body skeletal musculature were sliced using hand knives and the number and viability of T. solium cysts determined. Thirty two of the 110 animals were found to harbour T. solium cysticerci (29%), of which 30 (27%) were found to have viable cysticerci (93% of the infected animals). This is one of the highest prevalences of porcine cysticercosis that has been reported to date from the results of necropsy on randomly selected animals. This study highlights a high rate of transmission of T. solium in the Banke District of Nepal. It encourages further investigation of human and porcine cysticercosis in Nepal, as well as implementation of efforts to reduce transmission of the parasite and the associated human disease.
An integrated study was carried out on four anorogenic syenite-granite complexes (i.e. Banke, Dutsen Wai, Guraka, and Zuku) from the Nigerian Younger Granite (NaYG) province, in a bid to constrain ...their magma sources, rare metal mineralization potentials, and tectonic implications. These four complexes primarily consist of quartz syenite, granite porphyry, arfvedsonite aegirine granite, and biotite granite. The studied rocks are chemically characterized by high alkalis, HFSEs, Ga/Al ratios, and zircon saturation temperature (776-1127°C, average = 932°C), typically of A
1
-type granites. The zircon εHf(t) values of the arfvedsonite aegirine granite (−6.0 to −0.79) are higher than those of the granite porphyry (−9.57 to −7.67) and biotite granite (−9.49 to −5.86) suggesting moderate crustal contamination of mantle-derived melts for the origin of the peralkaline granites. Generation of the biotite granite likely involved inputs of both crustal- and mantle-derived melts and is evidenced by the presence of inherited Pan-African (600-610 Ma) zircons and low whole rock Nb/U and Nb/Ta ratios. Furthermore, input of crustal material likely increased the metal budget of the residual melt and enhanced Nb, Sn, and sulphide mineralization in the Banke granite porphyry and biotite granite and Dutsen Wai biotite granite. Zircon U-Pb dating results constrain the emplacement ages to early Mesozoic era, from the Banke granite porphyry of 180 ± 1 Ma, Dutsen Wai biotite granite of 177 ± 3 Ma, Guraka arfvedsonite aegirine granite of 227 ± 2 Ma and Zuku arfvedsonite granite of 186 ± 2 Ma. These age data indicate a local E-W age migration pattern for the alkaline magma emplacement in northcentral NaYG province. Integrated with other geological evidence, we favour a formation model for the anorogenic NaYG province likely driven by the reactivation of ancient shear zones and structures.
Klimatske promjene i globalne negativne posljedice zahtijevaju mjere za prilagodbu na održiviji model rasta i razvoja ekonomija. Stoga se kao prioritet nameće ublažavanje štetnih posljedica i ...poticanje održivog i klimatski otpornog gospodarstva. Jednu od ključnih uloga u procesu transformacije gospodarstava na nisko-ugljičnu budućnost imaju razvojne banke. Cilj rada je istražiti ulogu razvojnih banaka u klimatskim financijama kroz pregled literature i analizu podataka o klimatskim financijama država članica Odbora za pomoć u razvoju unutar Organizacije za ekonomsku suradnju i razvoj u razdoblju od 2012. do 2018. godine. Korišten je metodološki pristup analize postojećih teorijskih ishodišta i empirijska analiza dostupnih sekundarnih podataka. Očekivani doprinos ovog rada je u povećanju vidljivosti značaja razvojnih banaka kao kanala distribucije klimatskih financija koje su bile značajan dionik za transmisiju klimatskih financija od razvijenih ka slabije razvijenim državama.
Climate change and global negative consequences require measures to adapt to a more sustainable model of economic growth and development. Therefore, mitigating the harmful effects and promoting a sustainable and climate-resilient economy is a priority. One of the key roles in the
process of transforming economies into a low-carbon future is played by development banks. The aim of this paper is to investigate the role of development banks in climate finance through a review of the literature and analysis of data on climate finance of member states of the Development Assistance Committee within the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in 2012-2018. A methodological approach to the analysis of existing theoretical starting points and empirical analysis of available secondary data was used. The expected contribution of this paper is to increase the visibility of the importance of development banks as channels for the distribution of climate finance, which were significant stakeholders in the transmission
of climate finance from developed to less developed countries.
The waters on the West Greenland continental shelf and slope play an important role in the global climate system with their link to the subpolar North Atlantic Ocean circulation system and the ...Greenland Ice Sheet. Lately, low temperature waters on the West Greenland shelf have been observed as far south as ∼64°N and associated with a cold and relatively saline water mass originating north of Davis Strait in Baffin Bay referred to as Baffin Bay Polar Water (BBPW). Here we use long, seasonal hydrographic time series from West Greenland at ∼64°N to study how frequently BBPW is reaching this far south. The analysis covers the period 1950–2018 with a data gap between 1988 and 2005. BBPW was observed frequently and was responsible for the temperature changes observed in the late 1960s–1980s and more intermittently post‐2008. Some of the large temperature changes we observe in the time series have previously been ascribed to “Great Salinity Anomalies” (GSAs) propagating around the subpolar North Atlantic Ocean circulation system. The prevailing view of the propagation of GSAs has been ascribed to advection of anomalies along the large‐scale circulation system. Our study shows that BBPW may play an important role in the interpretation of GSAs and melt of the Greenland Ice Sheet. Large temporal temperature changes at ∼64°N are associated with arrival of BBPW from the north and not advection of anomalies with the large‐scale current system from the south. This advocates for a shift in water masses caused by changes in the position and/or strength of oceanic currents.

The Greenland Ice Sheet is likely to experience significant mass losses in coming decades. One of the challenges is to understand the changing physical nature of waters on the adjacent continental shelf and their effects on tidewater glacier fjords. Lately, low temperature waters on the West Greenland shelf have been observed as far south as ∼64°N and associated with a cold and relatively saline water known as Baffin Bay Polar Water (BBPW) mass originating north of Davis Strait in Baffin Bay. We use unique, long, seasonal hydrographic time series from the West Greenland continental shelf at ∼64°N and an adjacent proglacial fjord to study how frequently BBPW is reaching this far south in the period 1953–2018. BBPW was observed at ∼64°N in the following years: 1954–1955, 1968–1976, 1980–1983, 1985, 1987, 2008, 2012, and 2015–2017. This study shows that BBPW may play an important role in the interpretation of the large‐scale subpolar North Atlantic Ocean circulation system and melt of the Greenland Ice Sheet.

It is analyzed in the context of Dubrovnik architecture between the wars, Yugoslavia and Bogdan Nestorović’s opus for the National Bank. This paper examines the influence of the size and participation of women in the board of directors on the dividend policy of banks in Western Balkans. The research covered 104 banks, observing their ...dividend policy from 2017 to 2019. The dividend payout ratio was measured by the dividend policy. A relatively small number of banks paid dividends during the observation period. By applying the Fixed-Effect model, it was determined that the size of the board of directors has a statistically significant positive impact on the dividend policy of observed banks. Concerning the participation of women on the board of directors, a statistically significant impact on the dividend policy of banks was not identified. In addition to contributing to the existing literature on corporate finances, the research results can be crucial to investors when deciding to invest funds in bank stocks.
Tema članka je prepoznavanje i vrednovanje tipološko-morfoloških, odnosno kulturnopovijesnih i strukturnih obilježja sjeverozapadnog dijela donjogradskog bloka Trg bana Jelačića – Petrinjska – ...Amruševa – Trg N. Š. Zrinskoga – Praška ulica u kontekstu suvremenih konzervatorskih principa i pristupa obnovi povijesnih cjelina. Prikazana je geneza bloka koji nastaje organskim rastom i planerskim zahvatima 19. stoljeća, a građevni je fond (Trg bana J. Jelačića 12, Trg bana J. Jelačića 13 / Praška 3, Praška 5) istražen, analiziran i valoriziran s ciljem izrade preporuka za njegovu obnovu i prenamjenu, uz napomenu da je transformacija uglovnice Hrvatske zemaljske banke prije istražena u sklopu obrade djela arhitekta Ignjata Fischera (M. Bagarić, 2011.). U smjernicama za obnovu naglašava se potreba za integralnim pristupom planiranju urbane obnove koji predlažu međunarodni dokumenti i aktualni konzervatorski pristupi uz afirmiranje povijesnoga urbanog krajolika, kojim se povijesni grad sagledava kao živi organizam u stalnoj promjeni. Očuvanje i unaprjeđenje prostornog identiteta Donjega grada moguće je samo putem zaštite autentičnosti i integriteta povijesnih zgrada.
