This paper proposes an efficient and accurate method of two-dimensional code recognition for industrial actual projects, and develops a high-speed and batch two-dimensional code recognition ...system based on machine vision. Firstly, according to the position of the QR code in the target subspace, a method to locate the region of interest of each QR code by using geometric relationship and batch processing QR code is proposed. On this basis, Gaussian noise is added to simulate the possible noise in production practice, and the anti-noise ability of the system is evaluated. Finally, the relationship between system recognition rate and QR code movement speed is analyzed and the experimental results are compared. The experimental results show that the system can meet the requirement of real-time online detection.

3D printing is used in manufacturing of personalized and customized medications. Moreover, information technology has been integrated with 3D printing, which builds the basis of informative medications. Here, clonidine hydrochloride (CH) was formulated in informative wafers (info-wafers) by combination of 3D printing, code design and photopolymerization. Braille code (recognized by blind persons), bar code, and quick response (QR) code were used for the design of info-wafers. A code positive mold was 3D-printed with rigid resins by stereolithography, which was transformed to the silicone negative mold by thermal polymerization. A homogeneous CH suspension in N-vinyl pyrrolidone was casted into the negative mold followed by photopolymerization to form CH info-wafers. The bulgy parts of info-wafers were painted with edible ink except for Braille code info-wafers. The CH in info-wafers maintained the amorphous state, which was demonstrated by X-ray diffraction. The amorphous CH had rapid dissolution. Bar code info-wafers were scanned by smartphone though only simple information was obtained. QR code info-wafers were smartphone-scanned to link a website that contained sufficient information such as the instruction of CH application and the collection of patient information. Info-wafers provide online drug information and use instructions for patients to make the treatment standardization and normalization.
A MOF-based bio-bar code material was synthesized and firstly applied to develop an electrochemical streptomycin (STR) aptasensor. By using MOF-based bio-bar code and enzyme-assisted target recycling ...for dual-signal amplification, highly sensitive detection of STR was achieved. The sensing surface was simply fabricated by immobilizing a mixed monolayer of thiolated cDNA/aptamer duplexes (dsDNA) and 6-mercapto-1-hexanol (MCH) on the gold nanoparticle modified screen printed carbon electrode (Au/SPCE). The presence of target STR caused highly efficient removal of the aptamers from dsDNA assisted by Exo I enzyme. Then MOF-based bio-bar codes were backfilled to achieve the adsorption of electroactive Ru(NH3)63+ (RuHex) on electrode surface. The electrochemical signal of the surface-confined RuHex was used for quantitation. The analytical performance for STR was satisfactory with a wide linear range of 0.005–150 ng mL−1, a low detection limit of 2.6 pg mL−1 and a good selectivity towards other three antibiotics. Moreover, the application of this aptasensor for determination of STR in real milk samples was also realized. With these merits, this dual-signal amplification assay might provide one of the effective ways for food safety monitoring.

In order to improve the acquisition efficiency of bar code acquisition technology and the management efficiency of enterprises in the Internet of things, and bring more benefits to related ...enterprises, the barcode technology of perception layer in the Internet of things was added into the enterprise resource planning system, thus getting an effective and convenient barcode acquisition system. The research results show that the circuit board of the automatic barcode acquisition system studied here is based on the built-in barcode program and joined the enterprise resource planning system. It realizes the connection and integration of the two, which can not only run independently, but also simultaneously, to a large extent, playing its role. It can be seen that the integration of the barcode technology of the perception layer in Internet of things and the enterprise resource planning system can obtain a new industrial automatic barcode acquisition system. It can not only meet the requirements of barcode acquisition, but also improve the efficiency of barcode acquisition, which can be used for reference for manufacturing enterprises in terms of projects that produce according to the order.

Herein, a highly-sensitive microRNA (miRNA) detection strategy was developed by combining bio-bar-code assay (BBA) with catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA). In the proposed system, two nanoprobes of ...magnetic nanoparticles functionalized with DNA probes (MNPs-DNA) and gold nanoparticles with numerous barcode DNA (AuNPs-DNA) were designed. In the presence of target miRNA, the MNP-DNA and AuNP-DNA hybridized with target miRNA to form a “sandwich” structure. After “sandwich” structures were separated from the solution by the magnetic field and dehybridized by high temperature, the barcode DNA sequences were released by dissolving AuNPs. The released barcode DNA sequences triggered the toehold strand displacement assembly of two hairpin probes, leading to recycle of barcode DNA sequences and producing numerous fluorescent CHA products for miRNA detection. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the proposed two-stage amplification system could sensitively detect target miRNA ranging from 10 pM to 10 aM with a limit of detection (LOD) down to 97.9 zM. It displayed good capability to discriminate single base and three bases mismatch due to the unique sandwich structure. Notably, it presented good feasibility for selective multiplexed detection of various combinations of synthetic miRNA sequences and miRNAs extracted from different cell lysates, which were in agreement with the traditional polymerase chain reaction analysis. The two-stage amplification strategy may be significant implication in the biological detection and clinical diagnosis.

This paper introduces AREasyCooking, an application which uses new technologies to help a user make healthier decisions about their culinary habits. Thus, using augmented reality and bar code reading, AREasyCooking helps users bring in the application the ingredients they have available. The application uses two major sources of recipes (well-known cooks and traditional recipes) to offer users possible variants of dishes with available ingredients. Finally, AREasyCooking guides users step by step through videos in preparing the recipe. Controlling these movies is done with the help of the eyes and the voice since hands are busy cooking.
Abstract
In the Philippines, the Civil Registry Documents (CRD) acquired from Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) such as Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Certificate of No Marriage and ...Death Certificate are being used as one of the requirements in different transactions in academics, government, travel, employment, religious matters and other transactions (e.g. proof of identification, Title/Career advancement, etc.). The current acquisition ways of these Civil Registry Documents are through online, PSA Office, Travel Agency/Courier Company and Satellite/Mobile PSA Office. In this study, the different acquisition ways of Civil Registry Documents are analyzed through service blueprint. Furthermore, a survey was conducted to determine the satisfaction rate and preferences of the CRD acquirers and was analyzed through crosstabulations. With the help of the analyzed Service Blueprints, the possible problems that arises on each process of acquisition were identified. This paper proposed an instant, electronic (involves bar coding/QR code/Reference number), paperless and less time-consuming substitute to the existing ways of acquiring Civil Registry Documents.
