The research aims to determine the role of counselors in increasing students' academic achievement motivation through guidance and counseling services. The problem in this study is that students have ...low achievement motivation. Problems can be prevented by the role of the counselor through guidance and counseling services in schools. The research method used is literature study. The literature study was carried out because the research was in the co-19 pandemic period and this research had to be resolved. Data analysis uses analytical methods through books and articles. The results showed that the role of counselors is very important in increasing students' academic achievement motivation through guidance and counseling services, such as informative services, individual counseling services, guidance in class and outside the classroom, and group guidance.
Introducción. En el siglo XX, el Síndrome de Inmunodeficiencia Adquirida, detectado en los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica en el año 1981, alcanzó de inmediato carácter epidémico explosivo en las ...principales urbes del país y se extendió a otras partes del mundo, como un grave problema de la salud mundial. El objetivo del presente trabajo es evaluar el nivel de información sobre VIH/sida, que tienen los estudiantes del cuarto año de la carrera de Medicina de la Universidad de Gambia. Métodos. Se realizó un estudio observacional-descriptivo de corte transversal, durante el año 2020, a partir de la colaboración entre profesionales de la salud de la Universidad de Gambia y cubanos del mismo sector que prestan sus servicios en esa nación. El universo y muestra los conformaron los 44 estudiantes del año mencionado. Resultados. Los encuestados poseen una información inadecuada acerca del tema; con mayor dificultad los estudiantes del sexo masculino; un alto por ciento reconoce la vía sexual como la principal en la transmisión del VIH/sida y el uso regular y adecuado del preservativo como medio de protección contra el virus; pero no dominan las condiciones de sexo seguro. El servicio de consejería es la principal orientación ante una relación sexual dudosa; en tanto que, el medio primordial de adquisición de los conocimientos fue la escuela. Discusión. Se constató la correspondencia de los resultados actuales con los de investigaciones de diferentes partes del mundo, en las cuales destaca el factor de la masculinidad y lo cultural como determinantes en el conocimiento y percepción del riesgo en los individuos. Se reconoce además el papel del personal de salud para la prevención y educación de la población./Introduction. In the 20th century, the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, detected in the United States of America in 1981, immediately acquired an explosive epidemic in the main cities of the country and spread to other parts of the world, as a serious problem of the world health. The objective of this work is to evaluate the level of information on HIV / AIDS that students in their fourth year of Medicine at the University of Gambia have. Methods. An observational-descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out during 2020, based on the collaboration between health professionals from the University of Gambia and Cubans from the same sector who provide their services in that nation. The universe and sample were made up of the 44 students of the mentioned year. Results. Respondents have inadequate information on the subject; with greater difficulty male students; a high percent recognize the sexual route as the main one in the transmission of HIV / AIDS and the regular and adequate use of condoms as a means of protection against the virus; but the conditions of safe sex do not dominate. The counseling service is the main orientation before a questionable sexual relationship; whereas, the primary means of acquiring knowledge was school. Discussion. The correspondence of the current results with those of research from different parts of the world was verified, in which the masculinity and cultural factors stand out as determinants in the knowledge and perception of risk in individuals. The role of health personnel for prevention and education of the population is also recognized.
The counseling service system is a case management tool used by professional guidance counse-lors and full-time teacher-counselor. However, even after multiple maintenances, system satisfac-tion and ...willingness to use it cannot be improved. This study used the modified Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process to construct the service quality index of the counseling service system by adding expert suggestions from different backgrounds. The study found that the service quality indicators of the counseling service system can be divided into five criteria and 21 sub-criteria to explore, among which were "perfect confidentiality mechanism", "web design & layout meet the needs of the work", and "functional operation is simple and convenient" most valued by experts and users. Based on the research results, this study puts forward substantive implications for academics and management.

The researcher was conducted this study using qualitative ...approach which involved case study’s strategy. According to those post graduate student’s findings, the researcher intended to find: (1) what were modifications that done, (2) how were they happened, (3) why were they happened, (4) how were the results, (5) how were the effectively of its effects, (6) how were the possibilities of its implementation in the future. The findings of this study were the average score results of implementation of group guidance with modification has better score than the avarage score results in implementation of group guidance service without modification, Suggestion in developing learning discipline, Bibliotherapy in enhacing self-concept. As the most important case management system in the school counseling work, the counseling service system must meet the needs and expectations of the school teacher-counselors (the main users). This ...investigation used the questionnaire survey method aimed at teacher-counselors in elementary schools in Tainan City to understand the degree of teacher-counselors’ satisfaction when they used the counseling service system. The results mainly found that counselor-teachers were most satisfied with “The items provided by the system website are completed and various.” followed by “The items provided by the system website are necessary items meeting the needs for counseling work.” while the least satisfactory item was “Using the system website helps me communicate and interact with others in counseling work.” In the five satisfaction dimensions of the system, the perceived ease of use and the usage attitude were found to be effective in explaining the system usage intention. Some practical implications of this research as well as topics worthy of further research were discussed at the conclusion of the research.

The recent statistic suggests the average psychological well-being of Indonesian citizens, including the pre-service training teacher, represents their capacity to overcome future challenges. ...Excellent psychological well-being is crucial for pre-service training teachers, especially for providing a comfortable learning situation for students and engaging in effective communication with students. This study investigates the psychological well-being of pre-service training teachers. Thus, this study adopted survey techniques with descriptive data analysis. The data were collected from 44 teachers selected by purposive sampling. The criteria for selecting research participants were currently taking pre-service teacher education, elementary school teachers, and willingness to participate in this study. Data were collected using a psychological well-being scale. The results of the analysis showed high and exceedingly high psychological well-being of pre-service training teachers. However, the majority of participants had low scores in the aspect of improving self-quality over time, and some of them presented remarkably low scores.
Abstrak: Kesejahteraan psikologis orang Indonesia pada saat ini masih berada pada tingkat rata-rata, sehingga dianggap masih mampu berjuang untuk mengatasi tantangan yang dialami di masa depan, tidak terkecuali guru pre-service training. Guru pre-service training perlu memiliki kesejahteraan psikologis untuk menghadirkan situasi pembelajaran yang nyaman bagi peserta didik dan komunikasi yang efektif dengan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kesejahteraan psikologis guru pre-service training. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan teknik survei dengan analisis deskriptif untuk data yang diperoleh. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 44 guru, dipilih secara purposive sampling. Adapun kriteria pemilihan sampel penelitian yaitu sedang menempuh PPG, guru sekolah dasar, dan bersedia untuk diteliti. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala kesejahteraan psikologis. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kesejahteraan psikologis guru pre-service training berada pada tingkat tinggi dan sangat tinggi. Meskipun demikian, aspek meningkatkan kualitas diri dari waktu ke waktu tidak begitu banyak dimiliki oleh guru pre-service training sebab berada pada tingkat rendah, bahkan sangat rendah.
Purpose: To describe a pharmacist's counseling service pertaining to methods of contraception on the postpartum unit of a university hospital and to evaluate the number of postpartum patients who ...desire information on contraception with the demographics of age, public or private insurance, and whether the patient was English or Spanish-speaking.
Methods: Retrospective cohort data analysis of postpartum women who received the option of counseling by a pharmacist or pharmacy intern at a university hospital over a year and 7 month period. There were 2,048 cases included for this study. The total number of patients who wanted information as well as pharmacist preparation time and counseling time were also noted.
Results: Patients who were interested in a hormonal contraception method were 3 times more likely to desire counseling compared with patients who declined information (p<0.05). Also, patients who wanted an implantable form of contraception were 8 times more likely to desire information compared with patients who declined counseling (p<0.05). Patients in the age range of 18-25, 26-30, and 31-45 years were less likely (56%, 64%, & 65%) to want counseling compared with the age range of 12-17 years (all p<0.05). Lastly, patients who spoke Spanish were 3 times more likely to have been counseled compared with non-Spanish speaking patients. The number of postpartum patients counseled on different contraception methods was 1,546 versus 699 patients who declined counseling. Total pharmacist preparation time totaled 160.95 hours, while total patient counseling time totaled 204.55 hours.
Conclusion: Overall, postpartum women who chose to be counseled by a pharmacist were considering either a hormonal or implantable method of contraception, were younger than the age of 17 and were Spanish speaking. The average amount of pharmacist preparation time spent was 4.3 minutes per patient and actual counseling time on average was 5.5 minutes per patient.

The objective of this qualitative study is to discover the experiences of district boarding school counselors while conducting psychological counseling and guidance services. Within this framework, ...data were collected through phone interviews that were conducted with 12 school counselors who were employed in district boarding schools in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions in Turkey. Study data were collected with a semistructured interview form designed to identify the professional experiences of district boarding school counselors. Overall findings indicated that the workload of school counselors was affected by the level of homesickness and risky behavior exhibited by the students. Furthermore, being a school counselor in district boarding schools was described as a process of performing counseling services (despite occasional experiences of occupational role conflicts), of not being able to receive sufficient parent support, and of experiencing the critical significance of cooperation with teachers and school administration.
