Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienie obecności argumentacji typu lógos, éthos i pathos w biznesowych schematach konwersacyjnych.

Background
Parents of children with developmental disorders (DD) or disabilities report greater parenting stress than parents of typically developing children. To minimise this stress, stressful ...factors need to be known and stress needs to be recognised early. The present cross‐sectional study aims to systematically assess and compare parenting stress in families of children with various types of disabilities. In addition, the assessment of parenting stress by attending paediatricians will be evaluated.
Methods
We surveyed 611 parents about their parenting stress at the Children's Development Center (CDC). Three questionnaires, including the German versions of the Parenting Stress Index (PSI) and Impact on Family Scale (IOFS), were used to evaluate parenting stress. Furthermore, attending paediatricians assessed of the child's type of disability and their perception of parenting stress in a separate questionnaire.
Results
Fifty‐five percent of all parents reported stress at a clinically relevant level, 65% in the child domain and 39% in the parent domain of the PSI. Parenting stress differed significantly across diagnostic categories (p < 0.01) and was associated with childhood disability related issues of behaviour, sleep or feeding issues. Parenting stress was often underestimated by the paediatricians, especially when the children had disabilities perceived as less severe. In one‐third of parents with clinically relevant total stress, paediatricians reported low stress levels. Parent‐reported financial problems, social isolation, and partnership conflicts were not suspected by paediatricians in ≥85% of cases.
Conclusions
Clinically relevant parenting stress was found more often than in comparable studies. An assessment of parenting stress by paediatricians may be complicated by time constraints in medical appointments, the mainly child‐centred consultation, or restricted expression of parents' stress. Paediatricians should move from a purely child‐centred to a holistic, family‐centred approach to treatment. Routine screening of parenting stress using standardised questionnaires could be helpful to identify affected families.
Soil-transmitted helminthiasis (STH) remains a public health concern in developing countries, such as the Philippines. Preschool-age children (PSAC) are among the high-risk groups for STH. Data on ...the status of STH in PSAC are needed to help guide policy formulation and program implementation; however, in the usual setting, such data may remain limited. This study aimed to describe the parasitologic status of PSAC in selected local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines through sentinel surveillance methodology in a child-development center (CDC)-based setting.
This cross-sectional study, which included 1732 PSAC in selected barangays (a village or the smallest administrative unit in the country) in the provinces of Cavite, Guimaras, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, and Davao del Norte and cities of Iloilo and Lapu-Lapu in the Philippines, utilized Kato-Katz technique to determine parasitologic status. A single Kato-Katz smear was prepared from the adult-thumb sized stool sample submitted by each participant. Ten percent of Kato-Katz slides examined by field microscopists were re-examined by a reference microscopist as part of quality control.
Results showed a prevalence of any STH infection and a moderate-heavy ((M−H)) intensity prevalence of 24.9% and 10.3%, respectively. Five cases of schistosomiasis were found in Lapu-Lapu City and Davao del Norte. While the Philippines’ Department of Health (DOH) - Integrated Helminth Control Program (IHCP) target for prevalence of any STH of less than 50% was attained, none of the barangays or villages met the World Health Organization (WHO) target for (M−H) intensity STH prevalence of less than 1%, despite the program being implemented for almost a decade.
Sentinel surveillance in PSAC, possibly adopting a CDC-based approach, may be implemented biannually in the Philippines and other countries where a similar early child care development system exist to generate data needed to guide policy formulation and program implementation. Preventive chemotherapy through facility-based mass drug administration (MDA), such as CDC-based MDA, may be explored to improve the mode of MDA delivery and coverage in PSAC.
Education development offices are one of the main branches of medical education centers for directing the educational performance of medical sciences universities to achieve educational goals. Due to ...their close presence and communication with educational environments, these offices are highly important. To effectively guide and empower these offices, it is necessary to analyze their current situation, identify the challenges, and provide solutions to address them. This study was conducted to identify the challenges and provide solutions for the activities of medical education development offices.
This qualitative study was conducted in two stages, including 29 semi-structured interviews and a focus group discussion with experts in 2022 at Kerman University of Medical Sciences. The sampling method was purposive. The content analysis of data was performed based on conventional qualitative content analysis.
Data analysis resulted in the emergence of two main categories including challenges facing the activities of medical education development offices and solutions for improving the activities of these offices, and comprising some categories containing organizational structure factors, cognitive factors, communication factors, and motivational factors.
Education development offices are one of medical universities' main policymaking and quality control institutions. Efforts are being made to establish EDOs structures within the university. The formation of a clear and performance-based reward system for faculty members who are the managers of the EDOs is proposed. Improving interactions between EDOs and other parts of the university to coordinate activities, and exchange of experiences are highlighted.
BACKGROUND: In recent years, educational development centers (EDCs) have evolved among universities from a marginal to a strategic aspect. The present study aimed to achieve an applicable task ...description at two levels of basic and quality improvement for EDCs and educational development offices (EDOs). MATERIALS AND METHODS: This research used the triangulation method. Initially, the current condition of EDCs across the country was evaluated with an electronic questionnaire in 2019. In the second phase, the modified Delphi method was used in two rounds with purposive sampling and a researcher-made questionnaire. The research participants were from all of the country. In the RAND technique, an electronic questionnaire was sent to 14 experts in medical education. After the analysis, the results were discussed, and the questions were answered again. We determined frequency and used content analysis. RESULTS: The task descriptions containing basic and quality improvement have been developed in three main sections: Organizational communication of EDCs and EDOs for policymaking; organizational structures, organizational charts, and the budget of EDCs and EDOs; and developmental roles of EDCs and EDOs (curriculum policies, curriculum development, blended learning, community-oriented), faculty development, evaluation (student assessment, faculty evaluation, program evaluation, accreditation), research (educational research, educational scholarship, innovative educational designs, events), and students (student committee, talented students). CONCLUSION: The task description guidelines have been prepared with 68 articles in basic and quality improvement and three main sections, including organizational communication of the EDCs and EDOs, organizational structures, the budget of the EDCs and EDOs, and their development roles.
The article addresses the presence of logos, ethos, and pathos in business conversational patterns. The Assessment Center/Development Center (AC/DC) method is presented as an example of a ...communication approach in the business context (between supervisor and employee) that incorporates this rhetorical triad. A conversation evaluation scheme aimed at assessing the employee’s performance and motivating them to develop their skills and qualifications serves as an illustrative example of this method. The article begins by introducing the terminological framework related to the classical triad of logos, ethos, and pathos. It then discusses the distinction between business communication and communication in the business context. Considering the differences between external and internal communication, the AC/DC method is discussed as an example of how to effectively manage a company's internal communication. The presentation of the conversation evaluation scheme (falling within the realm of providing constructive feedback and employing motivational practices, also known as reinforcement) provided guidelines for its implementation.
Critical reflection and transformative action in a cyclical rhythm are the fundamental features of the process of praxis (Freire, P. 1970. Pedagogy of the oppressed. Continuum). A self-study ...methodology was used to explore the lead researcher's pedagogical experiences teaching at a youth development center (YDC) while utilizing praxis as critical reflection. Those pedagogical experiences included both teaching physical education to the students at the center, and instructing a cohort of Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) students as they participated in a field experience there. The research question that guided this study was: how have the lead researcher's pedagogical experiences at a YDC prompted praxis? Data were expanded upon in recorded interviews with an experienced colleague who probed and interviewed the lead researcher. Interview data were interpreted using qualitative methods. The findings of this study are derived from the lead researcher's critical reflections and are organized into two major themes: (a) unexpected success prompting praxis: a vignette ... and (b) praxis prompting pedagogy as an early teacher educator. The first theme describes the lead researcher's initial experiences while teaching physical education at the YDC. The second theme outlines the lead researcher's critical reflection and pedagogical experiences while teaching preservice teachers using the YDC as a context for a field experience. Lastly, the implications of his pedagogical experiences at the YDC are discussed.
