E-learning environment makes learning process more efficient and attractive. However, the possibility of learning anytime and anywhere in e-learning environment requires additional attention to ...motivate students to acquire knowledge and prevent drop-outs. The aim of this paper is to prove that a self-discipline in daily routine knowledge acquisition process could be considered as a key parameter to improve learning outcomes. The authors prove this statement by data analysis of learner activity levels within collaborative e-learning environment and achieved appropriate competence levels. Self-discipline and motivation issues are also discussed.
Abstract
Pandemic changed human lives, instructions and rules for maintaining social distancing to limit the spread of the virus were imposed. Institutions were forced to adapt working from home ...mode, the new remote working lifestyle approach emphasizing the strong existence of e-environment facilities (e-learning, e-government, e-commerce) this led to a huge diffusion in the usage of devices that are considered man-made electromagnetic sources in indoor spaces that are poorly designed for long Electro-Magnetic Field (EMF) exposure example of these devices are computers, smartphones, wireless routers, home appliances, and other electronic devices. These EMF sources have several harmful effects on human health, such as stress, headaches, anxiety, and increase risk of cancer. Therefore, this research aims to develop interior design guidelines to reduce the electromagnetic fields negative impacts on the residential workspace in Egypt. First, a qualitative data collecting approach in literature review was conducted then a measurement scale for the protection levels have been defined. Followed by the analytical case studies analysed according to the deduced scale to identify key aspects pertaining to the design for space that reduces (EMF). Research findings provide a guideline for protecting occupants from excessive electrosmog exposure by using light finishing colours, following design standards, right furniture arrangement, ergonomics, relying on natural lighting, ventilation and applying shielding materials.
Materials article analyzes the opportunities and benefits of using cloud services G Suite (Google Apps) during the practical training of students. In the course of the study, an e-environment based ...on G Suit for Education was developed and its use for effective organization of information technology practice training. A model of e-learning environment for organizing group project work in Google Classroom-based training has been built. The design methodology is grounded as one of the most effective for the organization of educational practice in information technologies. The stages of realization of the project task during the educational practice, as well as the tools, the achieved competence, features of the activity of teachers and students at each stage are researched. Examples of tasks, resources and services that were used to achieve project results are given. The implementation of individual project implementation phases in the Google Classroom-based electronic environment has been demonstrated, in particular, project planning, adding new services in the electronic environment, collaborative work with documents, portfolio elements, student reflection. The results of the survey of students on the organization of educational practice using the method of projects and the e-environment based on the use of cloud services G Suite (Google Apps) are analyzed.
Among various types of threats to urban and rural security, there has been an increase in cybercrime in recent years, an increase in criminal offenses in the e-environment. This also applies to the ...sexual exploitation of children in the e-environment. Sexual violence against children in cyberspace is linked to objectively determined factors, such as the development of Internet technologies and their wide availability. The active efforts of children to learn and use the new technologies, the attractiveness of the virtual environment in contrast to the real situation and the ambiguous and in many cases incomprehensible nature, as well as the saturation of pornographic material in the Internet, the weak control of their distribution, should be noted. Due to the increasing availability of the Internet, the expansion of e-services in cities and rural areas is relatively balanced. An Internet user may be at risk in both big cities and in a less populated rural area. Among Internet users the proportion of young people and children is relatively high, which objectively determines their increased victimization potential. Among threats to children related to the e-environment, multiple forms of child sexual abuse, including
cyberbullying, sextings, sextorings, cyberstalkings
, are increasing.
In view of sustainability in business and role of Information Technology enabled Services(ITeS) in business, it is imperative to examine the performance of ITeS organizations on the parameters of ...sustainability. Some well established and professionally managed ITeS organizations are able to optimize their resource utilization and provide specific annual performance disclosure (sustainability) reports on various parameters, whereas medium and small organizations lack on sustainability standards and disclose poor performance over time. Since ITeS organizations neither use traditional inputs nor they come out with traditional output and have greater degree of human-machine interaction, it requires its own sustainability parameters. Keeping this objective, authors in this research paper propose a concept of Organisational e-Environment (OeE) and develop an e-Environmental Sustainability Indicator (e-ESI) profile exclusively for the ITeS segment of the IT industry using integrative literature review and experience survey. This research paper identified six e-Environmental Sustainability Indicators. Validation of these e-environment sustainability indicators are needed before implementation.
Balanced development is the aim of any company, ensuring the company's existence in a long-term, all the while promoting the growth of the sector and economy. In Latvia and in other European Union ...countries, the numeric majority of companies are micro, small, and medium enterprises (SME), furthermore, due to the lack of resources, small companies find it difficult to develop on the global market. Small and medium enterprises must choose methods of product development and market promotion that are different from big companies’ methods, choosing only those tools from the available tools for company development and increasing competitiveness that are most suitable for the particular company's needs and peculiarities. One of possibility to use e-environment for mentioned purposes.
The performed scientific studies show that proper and skilful use of modern technologies can contribute to significant development of companies. Growth of technologies occurs rapidly, and the ...electronic environment continuously develops and improves along with it. The electronic environment now already offers companies practically all necessary marketing and communication tools for ensuring company development by creating competitive advantages; nevertheless, not all companies can employ the opportunities rendered by the e- environment, in order to increase company competitiveness and productivity. ). The aim of the paper is to study and compare the enterprises communication in e-environment in two countries – Latvia and Kazakhstan. Study material – 130 enterprises of Latvia, 100 enterprises of Kazakhstan; method – survey. The study was conducted within the
project ‘Mobility between programme and partner countries (KA107)’. Using previous researches and scientific studies, as well as survey of enterprises representatives in Latvia and Kazakhstan, in this paper, the authors a) give an overview of the main trends of enterprise communication in e-environment and b) compare the experience of the two countries.
