The purpose of this study is to derive the main factors of Feng Shui site recognition and the effect of the factors on the Management Performance of small business through the previous studies in ...order to investigate the relationship between Feng Shui interest and management performance for the sake of development of small businesses. In addition, the research is directed to the mediating effect of Feng Shui site recognition and adjusted mediating effect of entrepreneurship in the relationship between Feng Shui interest and management performance. First, the verification of the hypothesis, 'Feng Shui interest will have a positive influence on the Feng Shui site recognition', showed that Feng Shui interest had a positive influence on all the space placement, space shape, junction space, and topography. Second, the verification of the hypothesis, 'Feng Shui site recognition will have a positive effect on management performance', showed that Feng Shui site recognition had a positive effect on characteristics of Feng Shui site recognition such as space placement, junction space and topography, but not on space shape. Third, the verification of the hypothesis, 'Feng Shui site recognition will mediate the influence of Feng Shui interest has on management performance', showed that Feng Shui site recognition had a positive effect on characteristics of Feng Shui site recognition such as space placement, junction space and topography, but statistically not significant on space shape. Fourth, the verification of the hypothesis, 'innovation will control the mediating effect of Feng Shui site recognition in the path that Feng Shui interest affects management performance through Feng Shui site recognition', showed that innovation controlled the mediating effect. It is necessary not to confine the subject of research to small businesses, but to extend it to medium- or large-sized companies. In addition, it is necessary to research the impact of Feng Shui site recognition not only on the management field but also on other fields.
The evidence supporting the protective effect of pre-COVID-19 corporate social responsibility (CSR) on firm value during the COVID-19 pandemic remains vague. In times of crisis, Feng Shui philosophy ...can serve as a decision-making criterion for Chinese investors to trade stocks because a lucky stock code can provide investors with a feeling of control when facing great challenge, stress, and uncertainty. This study examines the impact of pre-COVID-19 corporate social responsibility (CSR) on hospitality and tourism firm value during COVID-19 and the moderating effect of lucky stock codes. The results show that pre-COVID-19 corporate social responsibility (CSR) has a U-shaped impact on firm value and that the U-shaped effect is more pronounced for firms with a luckier stock code.

The vast majority of well-informed philosophers of science and scientists who are clearly (uncontroversially) scientists are able to extensionally differentiate between almost all scientific and ...non-scientific practices, disciplines, theories, attitudes, modes of procedure, etc., and do so or would do so in much the same way. This legitimately leads to the conclusion that the main problem of scientific demarcation has already, in a sense, been solved, although an explicative integrated account of that solution has not yet been given. Doing so is the goal of the project proposed in Fernandez-Beanato (
Journal for General Philosophy of Science

). To advance toward the solution of the scientific demarcation problem, this article executes part of that project: a first step for scientific demarcation is the composition of a broad “list” (set) of accepted characteristics, conditions, or properties of science, or indicators of scientificity (most of them, by themselves, unnecessary and insufficient) which might be collectively used to establish a demarcation between those theories, cognitive fields, practices, etc. which are scientific and those which are not. This article deals with feng shui as a clear case of a non-science. It defines feng shui and then lists properties of science that feng shui possesses and properties of science that it lacks. This article then shows that the proposed demarcatory list demarcates feng shui as non-scientific, in agreement with the current philosophical and scientific consensus.
We argue for a virtue epistemological approach to the demarcation problem, for we think that such an approach makes sense from the perspective of an ameliorative epistemology. We argue that sustained ...and consistent pseudoscientific beliefs and attitudes call for an explanation in terms of underlying epistemic vices, and that remedying them calls for charging the relevant people with vice, but in a responsible and sensitive way. We exemplify some common epistemic vices associated with pseudoscientific beliefs through the case of Feng Shui. We then discuss the value of incorporating pseudoscience in science education and advocate teaching students to identify epistemic virtues and vices in scientific and pseudoscientific practices. We argue for an education focused on epistemic character building and cultivating epistemically virtuous students from early on. This will lead them to become good epistemic agents, in general, and careful (producers and) consumers of science and pseudoscience in particular.

The study investigates in the Benchmark for Scientific Literacy of Chinese Citizens. The background of issuing the Benchmark, its procedure, and contents are analyzed; the key for analysis revolves ...around the huge debate triggered by the Benchmark on Chinese internet. The debate can be traced to historical discussions in China, regarding the relation between science and humanity, the boundary of science, and the goals for science education. We recognize that in the anxiety for modernization since 1840s in China, the gap between science and humanity studies persists; scientism still dominates the dialogue. Instead, we value pluralism in science and scientific literacy, and emphasize locality as a framework in understanding and assessing traditional Chinese knowledge and practices, including yin-yang theory, the five phases theory, and feng shui. We propose that good science education aims at eliminating scientism, enriching public understandings on the history of science, the culture, and philosophy of science.
